AP--I just checked-- I WAS alive for Becket, just too young to see it or apprecate it. I also saw Remember Me again today, and there was a good size audience, lots of couples, mostly middle aged. I am wondering if, and hoping that, people are realizing the negative reviews are to be ignored.

@Solas: Ah, yes, I’ve seen Becket. I don't think Burton ever won an Oscar, and O'Toole only got an honourary one, despite the number of nominations. Wonderful acting, but maybe seen as too ‘theatrical’ by some. I thought O’Toole did a great job in “Lion in Winter” playing twice his age, with a beard Rob would envy. There is definitely something about their hands and the way they move that’s similar….or I’m reading in as usual…lol
Really good to hear about the audiences still there for RM. Great if it does find even more of a general public, despite those reviews. I am sure WOM is working in its favour – not to mention all the multiple views by fans. :)

If Rob learns to run really well, we can all get skinny running relay and chasing him. From what I have read Rob has no rhythm for fast dance but is alright with formal dance. Read that for Goblet of fire I think. I can teach him whatever he doesn't know ;)

Got my New Moon DVD today, the Walmart Ultra fan version. Wow totally added scenes here. Just loved it so much. Lots more Rob! They still left out the "I'm Dead after Italy in Bella's bedroom scene's." They really needed it in the movie. My husband loved it! I was flaburgasted. He chuckled at the right parts and gasped too... Really floored me.
Okay, Rob is my Man-Boy or MB.... new name... heheheheh smirking here. He is 23 years old and so fucking gorgeous. Looks like a kid and a man at the same time... I can't help it. I am totally lost and so turned on.....
i've been totally switch off because the biggest festival here in my city (called "Fallas") took place last week so i was in the street every day and night. That means i've missed a lot of things! i've missed the eclipse trailer and sneak peak, the RM premiere in London, the NM extras...i've missed EVERYTHING!
Worst of all is that my computer doesn't work and i have to write this from work (well i'm not working exactly, i'm doing internship/training, i don't know how you call a person who is a studiant at University but works in a Company in order to get labour experience without salary but as a practical subject) i hope my tutor don't catch me! ;D

Watched DVD Disc 2 today. It was fantastic.
This Ultimate Edition has so many scenes not shown at the cinema. I love it. Lots more Rob on it. But my favorite from the Book never made it... when they return from Italy and Bella thinks Rob is a figment of her imagination or dream.... Cracked up when reading it. Really loved it and was disappointed when Chris didn't include it. Kinda hoped it was a deleted scene, but not...

I think, it's a of best story I saw for long time, it go into the heart and the mind.
i've been totally switch off because the biggest festival here in my city (called "Fallas") took place last week so i was in the street every day and night. That means i've missed a lot of things! i've missed the eclipse trailer and sneak peak, the RM premiere in London, the NM extras...i've missed EVERYTHING!
ReplyDeleteWorst of all is that my computer doesn't work and i have to write this from work (well i'm not working exactly, i'm doing internship/training, i don't know how you call a person who is a studiant at University but works in a Company in order to get labour experience without salary but as a practical subject) i hope my tutor don't catch me! ;D

Solas: Neither Richard Burton nor Peter O'Toole won for Becket. I think in those days the Academy wasn't too into giving it to Brits. Peter O'Toole was spectacular in that role; of course it was flamboyant, a show piece role. I've forgotten who won; used to know these things. I think--trivia--O'Toole was nominated 8 times but never won.
The academy has goofed so many times.

ReplyDeleteThe harness is support for the wire and leg motion - as you can see he's being filmed. Action to be used for computer-generated mock-ups, and later they use a similar setup with concealed harness for green screen fx vamp runs.

This Ultimate Edition has so many scenes not shown at the cinema. I love it. Lots more Rob on it. But my favorite from the Book never made it... when they return from Italy and Bella thinks Rob is a figment of her imagination or dream.... Cracked up when reading it. Really loved it and was disappointed when Chris didn't include it. Kinda hoped it was a deleted scene, but not...
