Regarding BD, there is a salary dispute between Ashley & Kellen & Summit for Breaking Dawn, and that's where the hold up is..they are asking for more than Summit is willing to pay at this point. Either they will be re-cast, or it will work out...either way, the movie will get made with the main cast....

Whoever cast the Originals really did a fantastic job. (that's why the saga is doing so well)!!!

@RPG: Yeah, I think LA is on the table. I doubt it would have shown up in the THR piece otherwise, and the state is offering strong incentives right now. Costs are increasingly a consideration. Unless others better the deal, it may well end up there - at least for some sections of the films. However - always a gamble to second-guess Summit...lol

According to The Hollywood Reporter (which is considered a reliable source) Kellan & Ashley have yet to sign. They also say it's the cullen kids who are asking for more money, but they don't mention Nikki, or Jackson by name, so I don't know about them. Personally, I don't think anything will be lost by recasting Kellan & Ashley. Neither one is a great actor, & they're hardly even in BD. Alice is in the beginning, then we don't even see her again until the very end, and Emmett just hangs around basically, so I think recasting wouldn't be a problem. This is the THR story:

Loved Rob, Kristen, Taylor, Billie, Peter, Kellen, Ashley, but Nikki, Jackson, Elizabeth were not that strong, I thought. But Now they are cast and they MUST be in this franchise. I was upset about Rachelle being replaced. Oh well, guess the movie producers don't care what we think.
I don't think it's about the Producers not caring Nancy, it's just the negotiation process, ya know?

Hoping that there would be a COMPROMISE between the actors/agents involved and that of Summit. It's fair enough for the rest to ask for additional pay, afterall, The Saga is making money and not peanuts.
