The pictures are great, especially the one where Rob is up in Kristen's face. He is 100% into her and if she would just loosen up a bit and show the world what she thinks of her man. Poor Tay, looks like a third wheel. See Kris changed her gorgeous heels for her sneakers. The best thing that has happened to Kristen is Rob.
Actually I think the photog was clueless here, setting up lackluster poses that left all three looking uncomfortable.
In some it almost seems as if K is trying to break things up by leading a pose off, and Rob's giving her a WTF look, while Taylor is just baffled. This is photographer fail, and the nice glances that were captured seem to be pure luck because these kids like to have fun, and let that side show through despite the set-up.
Marna.... if an ungifted photographer treated you like a trick pony, you just might look a tiny bit bothered too!
BTW: I know this is said over and over, but Kris is 5'3" tops and slouching, and Taylor looks hardly any taller than her here! Can anyone who's seen him in person tell us just how tiny he really is?
Loisada I noticed that too about Taylor being almost the same height. That is probably why Kristen changed shoes since Taylor couldn't use his box haha

Robert is such a natural for comedy... we all love his exquisite looks, but he has such a natural flare for silly it's a shame it hasn't been really tapped yet in his film roles... I hope to see much more of the funny Rob on screen...

@Loisada - Angie-K and I met Kristen at the RM premiere and I'm 5'5" and she was not as tall as me. I think 5'3" seems like a good guess, and 5'8" maybe for Taylor, but Rob's 6'1"...so I don't even know about that.

I tried to find out how tall Nikki Reed is, & most sources are saying 5'7" or 5'7 1/2". If you look at this picture, she's a little taller than Kristen, & Taylor is taller than she is, so 5'6" for Kristen & around 5'10" or 11" inches for Taylor seem about right.
Further comment...what really intrigued me was the mention in the text of the article of Kristen putting her hand on Rob's leg. While they both seem to be getting more relaxed about the "couple thing" they've *really* gone out of their way not to be overt. And that was pretty overt of KStew. I mulled that a bit, and then went back and checked the byline.
The interviewer was a woman.

Have to agree with CL's comment on previous thread re. just enjoying the pictures as spontaneous moments and not doing a Psych 101 analyzing them. My analysis, however, is that they were relaxed, no videocameras around, kind of tired, RELIEVED to have Oprah over, feeling silly and the guard came down, including Kristen's little oops of putting her hand on his leg. She WASN'T thinking, she was doing something that she would have done naturally in private. Although I'll consider your take on it Rick as that is a possibility. But if I may offer another reason why they seemed a bit more out about their relationship. They are not idiots and know that those paparazzi photos where they got caught together at airports are out there. Yes, they've got better at hiding, but not always. So they know that we know. They're not going to confirm a damn thing, but seems like they're not feeling so compelled to hide their real feelings, because who the hell would they be fooling at this point. Does Kristen have the most incredible "bedroom eyes"? I assume people know that expression. It's not an insult, especially to men. When I was much younger someone described me as having a baby face with bedroom eyes. That was a revelation!

lallieb - Sorry to take so long to answer. Drugs and exhaustion knocked me out for a bit. Regarding Kristen's "bedroom eyes", oh hell yeah. I don't think it's intentional on her part. I think that it's just the way that her eyes are built. She frequently has this sleepy heavy-lidded look that makes her look like sex on a stick. Or like she's just *had* sex on a stick (pardon the pun).

As for Rob's comedic skills? Oh I so hope the Coen Brothers can one day get their hands on him. Could you see him in a role like Nicholas Cage in Raising Arizona?
As for the height of actors... If actors (men or women) are short, you can expect that at least two inches will be added to their height. Kristen is about 5'3", Taylor about 5'6"/5'7" and Rob 6' to 6'1" (they don't have to add inches to his height because he is tall). The average actor stands about 5'8"/5'9". Any actor over 5'10" is considered tall.
If Kristen really stood 5'6", look at pics of her with Rob when they're both in tennis shoes. He would have to be about 6'3"/6'4" because he stands about 9/10 inches taller than her. Although she does look taller because of those long legs. Very unusual on a girl so tiny. And photographs can be deceiving depending on the angle of the shots.
And femrock... While Phin has been raised by the Camanches, he is still white. He hasn't been changed genetically into an Indian. He would still have chest hair and facial hair like a white man. And since his hair is suppose to be long, yes, Rob would have to have extensions put in. Not a wig. Too noticeable.
The East Coasters are all asleep now, and the West Coasters pretty close... Rick, stick around, your point of view is refreshing... staking her a "territory" you said,,, never really thought about it that way, but I've certainly done it myself,,, men too, with that arm around the waist or over the shoulder. Rob does that a lot in more posed shots, but not so much, or with much comfort with other leading ladies. Yes, Kristen has gotten his attention... nice.
Comments about the background here surprise me. This was a shoot for a newspaper,,, there was no need for more elaborate setting. Also, did anyone really notice how relaxed and even thrown together they looked? They are kids here, not pretending to be otherwise from their messed up hair to their sneakers. I love that about them: it's real, even if I would have kept the heels on. Girls love shoes!

As my wife says, if Twilight did nothing else, it brought RPatz and KStew to our attention, and I don't mean as a couple. The cutesy romantic side of it is just icing on the cake. Very GOOD icing, but still icing.
nikola6 - Regarding roles, I respect actors who take professional risks. I like Jodie Foster and Becca DeMornay because there's never been a role that they won't tackle. Comedy, drama, tragedy, whatever. And they shine at *everything*.
I think that's RPatz and KStew both, and I can't *wait* to see them do it. I want to see "Welcome to the Rileys" to see how well Kristen's performance matches my memory of the hopeless self-destructive young women that I knew in her character's line of work when I was a much younger man. I expect it to leave me sad, in the same vein as "Remember Me".
Four roles I'd like to see *both* of them play in the next ten years are...
1) Romantic comedy in the "When Harry Met Sally" vein.
2) Villain. Anything from a cheating spouse to full on Hannibal Lecter.
3) Two-fisted human action/adventure in the style of Willis, Weaver, and Keanu. Lets them save the day.
4) Single parent, either drama or comedy, but I want to see how they play a lonely mommy or daddy trying to be everything at once.
Wow, Rick. Love having the male POV. I would LOVE to see Rob play all these types of roles, too. I think he'd be great in a romantic comedy, a young Hugh Grant.
I'm sure someone mentioned this, but they have the same clothes on that they wore on Oprah. Not the best photoshoot. Taylor looks mad, or indifferent, in the pictures. It's just weird.
Please do not forget the roles of Rob, who are now very different. Rob is now looking very different roles since ever. On BelAmi, WFE and Unbount Captives I am also very excited.

Well, I've read the articles of course. I always do, but I don't like to admit it most of the time.
Mayhaps it just sounds off to me because I don't see the sense in getting on the internet, and telling stories about running into an actor/actress. My way of thinking, it's just bragging to get attention. Premieres, events, etc.; those are just fine, but out and about during private time, not impressive to me. Look at it this way, even if it is false, he's already got the attention, so doesn't matter now. He's just got the ball rolling, there will be more. He says, "They looked very much in love." Well, (if that's the case) why does it say they were sitting a foot apart? I'd be in Robert's lap, and there was no mention of specific public displays of affection either. Hell, we almost got that, and it was very very public. What would stop them at that joint?
About the Kristen cover, I really do not know much about things like that. GossipCop states; they bumped her because magazines do not like to compete, but yet Robert has been on more than one magazine cover in one month. Of course, we're talking about Robert here. Besides, Lainey just creeps me out, and I know for a fact GossipCop is not always right.
I tend to agree with Kember on this one. I'm not so convinced of this particular encounter. Even more so now that I know it was written by a man. Let's be honest here, how many men walk into an establishment and notice how in love a random man and woman are? Not to stereotype, but that is normally something a woman would notice. Men don't tend to gush over how in love people are with each other, etc.
I firmly believe Rob and Kris are a couple, but I have my doubts about this fan encounter.
@Kember and Besotted, believe me I have become a real cynic as well re. anything posted on internet, but he would not have noticed them, if he's telling the truth, until the women in his little group of friends filled him in and that's when he paid attention, and he did observe some PDA, if he's telling the truth, when he first turned around and even admits it might not have been kissing, just what he saw. Once he was given the lowdown from his gal pals, he knew he had something that would get him lots of attention. Human nature? A guy, afterall. I'm sure someone will come along and disprove it all (like R/K were spotted somewhere else, someone else was there and saw nothing) and then I'll hang my head in shame and go to the naughty corner ;)

I'd actually like more than anything to believe this story is true just because it means the two of them were able to enjoy some quiet time together without being bothered by obnoxious fans. And even though I am pretty convinced the encounter is BS, there is a small part of me that still wonders just because it is so random, you know? Everything down to "she dropped all her cigarettes on the ground and Rob helped her to pick them up" ... it's just random, not contrived. So who knows, maybe it is true.

ReplyDeleteDoes Kristen have the most incredible "bedroom eyes"? I assume people know that expression. It's not an insult, especially to men. When I was much younger someone described me as having a baby face with bedroom eyes. That was a revelation!

Rob is gorgeous but everytime he opens his mouth is like verbal diahrrea, he reminds me so much to one of my college friends so i never got the rob fever, but KStew, I got such a girl-crush, being 20 and so levelheaded..he is the lucky one

lallieb,hello and rick welcome this is my opinion rob's hair cut great i cannot understand why people go into a tantrum when people cut their hair hair do not feel and it sure do not cry rob cut his hair for a part in a movie he sure looks like a school boy to me he looks cute and now kristen placing her hand on rob's lap it not the first time she touches him in a interview and so to me they are an item and now rob rob to me he is looking at kristen and it looks like he want to kiss her,rob is a guy so what is he doing for sex using his hands? i find this is so stupid they are totally doing ha!

This way is so much more fun that I feel guilty watching them whenever they do give something away in public. God help me it's cute. Rob and Kris are getting to be more fun than Edward and Bella. ;-)
lallieb - Sorry to take so long to answer. Drugs and exhaustion knocked me out for a bit. Regarding Kristen's "bedroom eyes", oh hell yeah. I don't think it's intentional on her part. I think that it's just the way that her eyes are built. She frequently has this sleepy heavy-lidded look that makes her look like sex on a stick. Or like she's just *had* sex on a stick (pardon the pun).

God, I love a man's perspective on all of this. A woman reporter? Kristen marking her territory by placing her hand on his leg? If that don't make sense. And I never even thought of it. Don't you go away mister. We NEED you around here.
As for Rob's comedic skills? Oh I so hope the Coen Brothers can one day get their hands on him. Could you see him in a role like Nicholas Cage in Raising Arizona?
As for the height of actors...
If actors (men or women) are short, you can expect that at least two inches will be added to their height. Kristen is about
5'3", Taylor about 5'6"/5'7" and Rob 6' to 6'1" (they don't have to add inches to his height because he is tall). The average actor stands about 5'8"/5'9". Any actor over
5'10" is considered tall.
If Kristen really stood 5'6", look at pics of her with Rob when they're both in tennis shoes. He would have to be about 6'3"/6'4" because he stands about 9/10 inches taller than her. Although she does look taller because of those long legs. Very unusual on a girl so tiny. And photographs can be deceiving depending on the angle of the shots.
And femrock...
While Phin has been raised by the Camanches, he is still white. He hasn't been changed genetically into an Indian. He would still have chest hair and facial hair like a white man. And since his hair is suppose to be long, yes, Rob would have to have extensions put in. Not a wig. Too noticeable.

The East Coasters are all asleep now, and the West Coasters pretty close... Rick, stick around, your point of view is refreshing... staking her a "territory" you said,,, never really thought about it that way, but I've certainly done it myself,,, men too, with that arm around the waist or over the shoulder. Rob does that a lot in more posed shots, but not so much, or with much comfort with other leading ladies. Yes, Kristen has gotten his attention... nice.
ReplyDeleteComments about the background here surprise me. This was a shoot for a newspaper,,, there was no need for more elaborate setting. Also, did anyone really notice how relaxed and even thrown together they looked? They are kids here, not pretending to be otherwise from their messed up hair to their sneakers. I love that about them: it's real, even if I would have kept the heels on. Girls love shoes!

As my wife says, if Twilight did nothing else, it brought RPatz and KStew to our attention, and I don't mean as a couple. The cutesy romantic side of it is just icing on the cake. ReplyDeletenikola6 - Regarding roles, I respect actors who take professional risks. I like Jodie Foster and Becca DeMornay because there's never been a role that they won't tackle. Comedy, drama, tragedy, whatever. And they shine at *everything*.
I think that's RPatz and KStew both, and I can't *wait* to see them do it. I want to see "Welcome to the Rileys" to see how well Kristen's performance matches my memory of the hopeless self-destructive young women that I knew in her character's line of work when I was a much younger man. I expect it to leave me sad, in the same vein as "Remember Me".
Four roles I'd like to see *both* of them play in the next ten years are...
1) Romantic comedy in the "When Harry Met Sally" vein.
2) Villain. Anything from a cheating spouse to full on Hannibal Lecter.
3) Two-fisted human action/adventure in the style of Willis, Weaver, and Keanu. Lets them save the day.
4) Single parent, either drama or comedy, but I want to see how they play a lonely mommy or daddy trying to be everything at once.

Wow, Rick. Love having the male POV. I would LOVE to see Rob play all these types of roles, too. I think he'd be great in a romantic comedy, a young Hugh Grant.

ReplyDelete@Kember, I just read the Facebook posting of the story (Marcelle linked it). Did you know it was a guy who wrote it?? He's got his name out there and his Facebook picture. Perhaps that's why it seemed odd, it was from a guy's perspective. I got to totally believe it. He's getting a lot of mileage out of it, though, but I guess that's because of the Internet. Post something once and it goes viral.

yeah, I just read that on lainey too. Lainey thinks she should have compromised more, but I think it's good she didn't bow down to her for a vogue cover. No matter what's going on with them, she seems like a very trustworthy friend to him.

ReplyDeleteMayhaps it just sounds off to me because I don't see the sense in getting on the internet, and telling stories about running into an actor/actress. My way of thinking, it's just bragging to get attention. Premieres, events, etc.; those are just fine, but out and about during private time, not impressive to me. Look at it this way, even if it is false, he's already got the attention, so doesn't matter now. He's just got the ball rolling, there will be more. He says, "They looked very much in love." Well, (if that's the case) why does it say they were sitting a foot apart? I'd be in Robert's lap, and there was no mention of specific public displays of affection either. Hell, we almost got that, and it was very very public. What would stop them at that joint?
About the Kristen cover, I really do not know much about things like that. GossipCop states; they bumped her because magazines do not like to compete, but yet Robert has been on more than one magazine cover in one month. Of course, we're talking about Robert here. Besides, Lainey just creeps me out, and I know for a fact GossipCop is not always right.
I tend to agree with Kember on this one. I'm not so convinced of this particular encounter. Even more so now that I know it was written by a man. Let's be honest here, how many men walk into an establishment and notice how in love a random man and woman are? Not to stereotype, but that is normally something a woman would notice. Men don't tend to gush over how in love people are with each other, etc.

@Kember and Besotted, believe me I have become a real cynic as well re. anything posted on internet, but he would not have noticed them, if he's telling the truth, until the women in his little group of friends filled him in and that's when he paid attention, and he did observe some PDA, if he's telling the truth, when he first turned around and even admits it might not have been kissing, just what he saw. Once he was given the lowdown from his gal pals, he knew he had something that would get him lots of attention. Human nature? A guy, afterall. I'm sure someone will come along and disprove it all (like R/K were spotted somewhere else, someone else was there and saw nothing) and then I'll hang my head in shame and go to the naughty corner ;)

I'd actually like more than anything to believe this story is true just because it means the two of them were able to enjoy some quiet time together without being bothered by obnoxious fans. And even though I am pretty convinced the encounter is BS, there is a small part of me that still wonders just because it is so random, you know? Everything down to "she dropped all her cigarettes on the ground and Rob helped her to pick them up" ... it's just random, not contrived. So who knows, maybe it is true.
