I can not tell you enough how giddy I am about David Slades foresight into the black contacts. Seeing Edward with pitch black eyes gives me the willies. He's thirsty and struggling to gain control. Hoooooootttt!!!!!!

this is what i think,the upper lip kiss is because it was edward but in eclipse that is rob sorry people he suppose to be acting but rob is human and he cannot control how he feels it's just human nature,and love when his eyes turn black maybe when stupid jacob hug bella like there is no tomorrow

Remember when Rob mocked the sculpted ones in Twilight? That is one of the funniest film commentary I have ever heard. I remember reviewers were quite taken with it too. In fact, I always felt it was then (when Rob so giddily mocked the whole thing), that some in the media realized, he wasn't all caught up in himself and all of the bullshit and that in fact, he was a pretty cool guy.
And yeah, they did forget the black contacts in Italy, huh? I though of that at the time too, but once he got his shirt off, I...uh...well...I got distracted.
I mean, who can concentrate on the details when Edward is standing there in front of you, half naked?

Rob as Edward can only kiss Kristen as Bella, in the way he is directed to by David Slade. A film is the director's vision and the actors are there to bring that director's vision to life. Which is why actors only want to work with directors they feel they can trust. Afterall, it's not the director's face sitting up there waiting to be judged upon by the whole world. But do actor's have imput? Of course they do. And the more powerful the actor, the more the imput. Which is why in addition to trusting a director, an actor also wants to work with a coroborater (sp?), not a dictator.
Now all that said. Could two actors who are in love with each other off set, play lovers on screen and allow their personal feelings to inform their performances? Of course. They'd be robots if that didn't happen. But here's a little secret that most of the public doesn't know.
Some (not all, but some) off screen lovers are hesitant to GO FOR IT onscreen. A lot of them tend to hold back. Why? Because they feel that it exposes their real life physical intimacy; the way they touch each other and especially the way they kiss each other.
I don't know how Rob and Kristen feel about any of this, but they are not robots and yes, when Edward is kissing Bella, Rob is kissing Kristen too. Even if just a little.
Doesn't Edward tell her in that meadow to forget the deal? He'll change her anyway and give her sex without marrigae first? (It's been almost two years since I've read this sucker. me thinks I need another go round). It's just that I recall him saying something like...
'I want you. Right here. Right now'.
Doesn't he? And then it's her who has to put the skids on? (and who the hell could put the skids on when THAT is telling you...'right here. right now?')
Ok. I think that hot kiss scene is at the beggining of the movie/book when she is trying to study and he is interrupting her. In this scene she wears the wedding ring.As you can see the clothes used in this scene is totally different from the the "hot kiss" scene.
