To lighten up my night, went on Youtube and watch again the Oprah Interviews for Eclipse. Before I knew, it's 4:30AM. Got my Rob fix interviews, the smile, the laughter, it's amazing really. I can watch his interviews over and over again. What a gift from this young man ..........

CTSTP: Haven't been able to get the soundtrack feed to play, but this much I do know: David Slade is a hedonist in the best sense of the word. He knows good music, and recognizes real original beauty. I have no idea if he'll be able to capture romantic lust, but I do think that Eclipse will be a feast for the ears and eyes!
Angie: I know, I do think of The Dude a bit when I hear Robowski... but it just makes me giggle, because I can imagine Rob playing a similar stoner with no problem at all!
And yes, even though I hate papp pics from a film set, I'd be a damn liar if I didn't admit that seeing just a glimpse of him as he's bringing my Jacob to life, doesn't get my fangirl heart a singing. Well. Okay. Maybe not singing. But humming a bit.
I just wish that since they know the papps aren't going to give up, that they'd release 'official' on set shots. Nothing that would give up story content, but better quality shots that would then take the wind out of the sails of the papps as they might have difficulty peddling their inferior shots...if the studio released (periodically, once a week maybe), better shots.
Think that might work? If the studio released good shots once a week or so, would that satisfy the fans and keep them from downloading inferior ones from the papps?
Or do people have to have every single last shot of him no matter where they come from?

I've talked with lots of smokers (in the smoking area before we board) and the consenses is, it's not just the nicotine. We need the actual physical action of having the damn thing in our hand. Smoking is a mental as well as physical addiction. But one thing does help me on a flight? Lollipops. 'Cause smokers usually have some kind of oral fixation too. Ooooh. He is filming literally 20 minutes from my house & to top it all off, my friends husband is a key grip on the movie set. He gets to be next to Rob 12 hours a day or more. He said that it's been so crazy there with all the fans waiting around just to get a glimpse of him. He also said that in all the years he's been in film business with some big time actors he's never seen it this bad before with the fans and paparazzi's. Poor Rob. He's just so loved.
Can I please just have my way with him? Where do I sign up for that??

I was outside a club in NYC years ago and a papp pushed me out of his way and hit me in the head with his friggin' lens..then told me to "get the fuck out" of his way. Having experienced that just one-time,there's no way I could imagine that insanity being a part of my life. I still sizzle when I think of it and how bad I wanted to kick him in the balls.

Yeah, the paparazzi is a cast-iron bitch, but it comes with the job and a lot of other people have lives a lot tougher. She's making a ton of money from this film series and it enables her to pursue the indy films she seems to prefer. I guess I lean toward the idea that she signed on for this madness, so suck it up, girl. She did have a choice, after all.

in my opinion, freedom of press can't be above of their freedom and their right to privacity. The paps' freedom of press ends in the very moment our right to privacity begins. @nic..that's so interesting because I've compared what's going on with Rob to Beatlemania. It is similar on so many levels, and while that means he will have to put up with this type of attention for much longer...well, Paul McCartney made it through alright. That's one, anyway.
I saw The Beatles at Shea Stadium in 1966, and until now I have not felt anything close to those amazing fun days and nights obsessing over someone. This is fun and has taken me out of myself and into another world, again!

The 'fifth' Beatle refers to Rob's level of fame. That his fame is approaching Beatle stature. Time will tell if this remains true for him. If you really love him, pray that it does not. If it does, his life will altered to such a degree that it will effect EVERY aspect of it; his work, personal relationships, how he is able to raise his children and even his mental health. Pray that all of this simmers way down for him.

Yeah yeah yeah..Beatles at Shea! I also won a contest to attend a Press Conference at the Warwick Hotel and spoke with Paul. One of the highlights of my life. And, in those days, everyone behaved like ladies and gents, at least in the Press room. Screamed my arse off at Shea, tho. Rob is definitely up there with young Paul, and young Elvis, too. There is just something magical about him.

Did you guys know that Robert Pattinson is being considered the first great movie star to be born of the internet frenzy. That's the talk. Only time will tell if this turns out to be true.
My gut says, he's going to turn away from it all. Yeah, he'll still make big studio movies now and then, but for the most part, he'll concentrate on small independent fare and will not pursue the big leading man career, looking to carve out a career more in the vein of Depp and now Franco who (despite their movie star looks), have chosen to go character role route as oppose to traditional leading man roles in which entire films are built around them as stars putting them right smack dab in the middle of the Hollywood money making machine. Rob has already said, this does not interest him.
We shall see. But there's gonna be a lot of push and pull to persuade him to go after that leading man career because there's more money to made going that route. For him and for those who make money off of him; the studios and management.
If he passes up enough leading man opportunites, Hollywood will most likely start passing him up and will seek out the 'next guy.' The one who will 'play ball'.

@nic It's so true about the internet being a catalyst for so much more attention. We never had anything like this back then...had to save up 35 cents from babysitting money to buy the latest teen mags, and if you missed your love on TV, that was it...no videos or DVDs.
I for one love having this much information and photos at my fingertips, but really it is such a double edged sword. I too believe he will do a few more big movies, then fall back, spend the money, chill, and come back with some indy stuff and his music. In the meantime, we can enjoy all of this. He mentioned doing a B'way Play, but he won't be able to even consider such a thing for years, sadly.
You don't have to keep your comments to yourself. This is a public blog and everyone has a right to express an opinion. It's just that when we express an unpopular opinion, it's gonna get a response. Just like the popular ones do. And you gotta be prepared for that.

You mentioned how 'rights to privacy' should take precedent over 'free speech' and 'freedom of the press'. I agree. But it doesn't.
People's privacy is violated everyday. But the press controls the information and that is more powerful than one individual's rights. And as I said, it's easier to add to our constitution than to take away from it. Which is why some believe it has stood for over 200 years. We don't mess with it too much depending what is going on in the 'now'. And even adding to it, takes years. Hell. It takes our lawmakers years to get anything done. President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation in 1865 at the end of the Civil War, freeing the slaves. And it took another 100 years, 1965before black people achieved their civil rights. We've been talking about national health care since the days of Teddy Roosevelt. Governments are a clusterfuck of bueracacy and misuse of power and it's a miracle we get the roads paved. Sorry. Went off there.
The thing about the press is this...they don't want anything messing with their power. And they fear that if laws are passed restricting the papps, that one day those very same laws can crawl their way into the offices of Time Magazine or the New York Times and tell them what they can print. It's a huge umbrella that all of this falls under. Like pornography. One man's pornography, is another man's art. And the laws that protect Harper Lee from expressing her opinions in "To Kill A Mockingbird", are the same that allow Larry Flynt to publish "Hustler".
So don't expect any real changes here. I don't. Even papp involvement in the death of Diana Spencer, didn't slow any of this down. Do you remember when they drove those jackals away from the scene of that accident? They were in a bus with their faces covered so they couldn't be seen. Fucking cowards. And to this day, do we even know who those papps were who drove that girl (and two others) to their deaths? Nope. Were they held up to be shamed and scorned by the public? Nope. They were protected.

OK...I've been visiting here for over a year, now. I've not commented before now. As attuned to Rob as all of you seem: has no one but me noticed how happy and "like himself" Rob gets when he is away from Kristen? Have you not noticed how open he was in interviews before he started sitting next to that depressive, suppressive personality that is Kristen Stewart? I pray that he is not engaged with her on any level that goes beyond friendship and professionalism to see the "Twilight Saga" through to it's conclusion. There is no doubt in my mind that he has more class and heart and talent than she will ever possess. He has already made as much, if not more, money and gathered more respect than that girl has after many more years of "experience". Kristen just "behaves" like Kristen. One could pluck any performance she's ever done and place it in any movie she's ever done and there would be no difference. No one can say that about any of Rob's performances. No two are even remotely alike. I have loved reading all comments over the last year+ that I have logged into this site....but seriously, girls, can we start talking about Rob's talent and stop the Robsten thing? He deserves so much better than Kristen Stewart.

Jeez!! Like anyone on the this site knows when Rob is most "like himself”. I mean, really? Who claims to know that? I see "Promotion Rob" in interviews and such (and I love him that way), but unless you have been alone with him before (and if you have, let’s hear the story), and truly got to know him, then what you see is not necessarily what you get. Do I love when he giggles and smiles? Hell yes. Does he do that in private moments? I sure hope so.
I said this in another thread, but women ripping other women apart is on of the saddest and most pathetic things I have seen. Have some respect for this man you are supposedly a fan of, and those in his life. AND when you have had 1/10 of her experience in this clusterf*ck that is Twilight Saga, or walked one mile in either of their shoes, please come back and enlighten us all as to how you would handle it differently.
Just received Water for Elephants in the mail today from this site/Amazon. More reading to do! I love that this amazingly cute young man has turned me back on to reading and music. The Soundtrack is epic, seriously. You all will Love it!
Ronda, you took the words from my mouth. And...Mention or regret. If you mention Kristen , that's ok for me. If you say poor little thing, how i regret her, etc.... it's annoying. She is in the business from 7, so she knows it. And taking photos from her in promoting, i think promoting is about it. I've never seen a photo from her when she washing dishes, laying in the grass in her garden. Those things are disturbing her private life. But taking photos in an airport in promoting...no way for regret. And her professional guards. they didn't make a good work, did they? And i think i didn't speak about her and his relationship. that is another theme, but hiding is always interesting for the media, and for the people. but opening is a 3 day sensation. But if my man would harbour me, i would run away from him in hurry.And i would never harbour my man anyway. I'm off for weeks i think.
I've talked about that too; women being their own worsts enemies and tearing each other up like catty, petty, jealous females.
And men laugh at us for it. And don't respect us because of it. And until we stop this ridiculous, competitive behavior towards one another, we will never achieve the same footing as men.
Although I suspect that most of this behavior comes from young women. Young women of the herd who are manuevering for postition to get the attention of the male.
@Ronda - I totally disagree with you about Kristen's acting abilities. I feel she has done a really great job with Bella - especially in New Moon. I really look forward to seeing her develop the character in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn (the ultimate challenge!)
Just because she is awkward around the Press, and often gets tongue tied in interviews does not make her a bad person. How many of us could do better, given the pressure that she is under at such a young age?
Rob obviously thinks a lot of her, let's leave her alone... she's doing fine, she's young, she's different...

The most immediate pics are usually pap pics, because the sewer rats make their living stalking famous (and not-so-famous) people. So we look at the pap pics. It costs us nothing but time to do so.
And because Homo Sapiens is a sociable species, we all talk about our experiences: what we've seen and how we feel about them.
And because we're (thankfully) all different, some of us agree and some of us disagree, so we end up in discussion. Some of it can be quite enlightening. Some of it can be irritating. Some of it can be amusing. Some of it might actually be instructional.
But it's all here, and until some smart arsed geek manages to invent a filter for threads that only allows one to see the comments one agrees with (God forbid that day ever comes), then we'll all keep seeing all the coments.
However, as Newton proved back in the 1680s or so, when an immoveable object meets an irresistible force, the result is stasis. Nothing moves.

I may not be old enough to be Rob's granny but I'm pretty sure I'm older than his mum. He's never going to choose me. I love everything about this man and I want him happy. He looks at one girl, and only one girl, with the most complete adoration I have ever seen on a man's face. A crowd of 20,000 can be screaming at and for him and them but when they stand together nothing else exists. Sorry, but it's true.

Answer me one thing, what's the name of this site? Yes that's right ROBsessed. So it's a done deal that all of us lust over Rob. I like nothing better than to come home from work and see pics of a smiley, twikley eyed Robert. Add a few hopefully witty remarks about them, having a laugh along the way. I go to bed happy and satified.
However, the last two nights have been quite diferent. TOO MUCH HATE.
I know we all have "opinions" and we all love to agree to disagree but some of the comments left here are not even relevent.
I love this man and it hurts me to the core when nasty, snidey, back hand comments are made about him, and the people he loves.

Lexi, I disagree with you that Rob has "it much much worse." Rob is treated like an idol and Kristen is showered with hate. Now, who do you think is getting the raw end of the deal? And before you say anything she was getting tons of hate and criticism before the trip to Australia.
Think about this: what would Rob say if he was reading your posts? Is that how you respect Rob by dumping on his girl?
Some people need to get over themselves. People are free to dislike Kristen, this is NOT a Kristen or robsten fan site. And I'm sick to death of people getting accused of wanting Robert for themselves or funnier being jealous of Kristen, everytime they say anything even remotely negative about Kristen, personality wise or acting wise. And Lexi I agree Robert has it a 1000 times worse, and he has papz lurking on ALL his movie sets, and yet he is always gracious, smiling, and he just ignores the papz and never is impolite. The only reason the papz might be interested in her now, is because she is on a Twilight promo tour, but when she is on any of her other movie sets you don't see anybody (fans or papz-in-general) gathering at her movie sets, nobody cares.

This is a site dedicated to those obsessed with and devoted to Robert Pattinson. We love it when he is smiling and happy. We melt when he's cute and wonky. We pant when he smirks and shows us tongue. We are up in arms when he's upset and hurt.
He has friends and relationships that matter to him. Whatever else we may feel about them does not matter; only what he feels. We need to respect that. We may think we know better, but when have we ever listened when someone has told us what was best for us?
He is scrutinized, analyzed, and idolized. He lives in a fishbowl. He seems to be adjusting with some minor growing pains here and there. He's also a young adult living in an environment that has the potential to implode and explode at the same time. He's going to make mistakes. He's going to be attacked. He's going to be crucified. Who are we, the fans, the public, the media, to sit in judgment of whatever he says, wherever he goes, whomever he loves?
His life is one exhilarated ride that we get to share via the very media that has the power to end that ride. We have to balance our eager need for more Rob and our reluctant intrusion into his life. Easy answer? Hell no.
The point is, why can't we just share in our admiration, devotion, and obsession with Rob without resorting to insults and attacks?

What I like about KS is she like her private life "private" she's not like the other starlets out there. To lighten up my night, went on Youtube and watch again the Oprah Interviews for Eclipse. Before I knew, it's 4:30AM. Got my Rob fix interviews, the smile, the laughter, it's amazing really. I can watch his interviews over and over again. What a gift from this young man ..........

ReplyDeleteOh, I think I blanked out a couple of times just looking at the pix. Tux Rob, Shades Rob and Smiley Rob, oh my! Be still my heart! I can't wait for this movie. My day just got so much better. Seeing Rob so relaxed and happy = me happy too.
The next couple of weeks are just going to be so crazy for him between the filming and Eclipse promotion. I just hope the good mood continues.

He knows good music, and recognizes real original beauty. I have no idea if he'll be able to capture romantic lust, but I do think that Eclipse will be a feast for the ears and eyes!

ReplyDeleteI just wish that since they know the papps aren't going to give up, that they'd release 'official' on set shots. Nothing that would give up story content, but better quality shots that would then take the wind out of the sails of the papps as they might have difficulty peddling their inferior shots...if the studio released (periodically, once a week maybe), better shots.
Think that might work? If the studio released good shots once a week or so, would that satisfy the fans and keep them from downloading inferior ones from the papps?
Or do people have to have every single last shot of him no matter where they come from?

I've talked with lots of smokers (in the smoking area before we board) and the consenses is, it's not just the nicotine. We need the actual physical action of having the damn thing in our hand. Smoking is a mental as well as physical addiction. But one thing does help me on a flight? Lollipops. 'Cause smokers usually have some kind of oral fixation too. Ooooh. ReplyDeleteHe is filming literally 20 minutes from my house & to top it all off, my friends husband is a key grip on the movie set. He gets to be next to Rob 12 hours a day or more. He said that it's been so crazy there with all the fans waiting around just to get a glimpse of him. He also said that in all the years he's been in film business with some big time actors he's never seen it this bad before with the fans and paparazzi's. Poor Rob. He's just so loved.
Can I please just have my way with him? Where do I sign up for that??

She's making a ton of money from this film series and it enables her to pursue the indy films she seems to prefer. But there's no stopping them as they are constitutionally protected. And while we can add to the constitution, it is virtually impossible to take away from it. And were not gonna go messing around with 'freedom of speech' or 'freedom of the press' just for movie stars. 'Fraid the rights that Thomas Jefferson said they had (not as movie stars, but just as human beings)? Uh...well...they don't.
And yes, I too have heard first hand that the frenzy surrounding Rob oh film sets is damn near unprecedented. In the corridors of Hollywood, he's known as...'the REAL fifth Beatle'.

Pray that all of this simmers way down for him.

ReplyDeleteDid you guys know that Robert Pattinson is being considered the first great movie star to be born of the internet frenzy. That's the talk. Only time will tell if this turns out to be true.
My gut says, he's going to turn away from it all. Yeah, he'll still make big studio movies now and then, but for the most part, he'll concentrate on small independent fare and will not pursue the big leading man career, looking to carve out a career more in the vein of Depp and now Franco who (despite their movie star looks), have chosen to go character role route as oppose to traditional leading man roles in which entire films are built around them as stars putting them right smack dab in the middle of the Hollywood money making machine. Rob has already said, this does not interest him.
We shall see. But there's gonna be a lot of push and pull to persuade him to go after that leading man career because there's more money to made going that route. For him and for those who make money off of him; the studios and management.
If he passes up enough leading man opportunites, Hollywood will most likely start passing him up and will seek out the 'next guy.' The one who will 'play ball'.

ReplyDeleteIt's so true about the internet being a catalyst for so much more attention. We never had anything like this back then...had to save up 35 cents from babysitting money to buy the latest teen mags, and if you missed your love on TV, that was it...no videos or DVDs.
I for one love having this much information and photos at my fingertips, but really it is such a double edged sword. I too believe he will do a few more big movies, then fall back, spend the money, chill, and come back with some indy stuff and his music. In the meantime, we can enjoy all of this. He mentioned doing a B'way Play, but he won't be able to even consider such a thing for years, sadly.

If you think something, stick to your guns and defend it. Just know that others are gonna stick to theirs and defend. As long as were civil with one another, I got no problem with debate.
And I am teachable. If someone can persuade me that an opinion of mine is wrong, I'll reevaluate it. Nothing wrong with saying...'hey, I was wrong. You're right and I'm gonna change my tune'.
Please don't censor yourself. The problem comes when people attack. That's what brings out the squirt guns. There is a way to express opinion without ripping to pieces. Unfortunatley, internet conversation has yet to figure out how to do this. I think because people are cloaked in secrecy. Therefore, they can say anything they want and then slink away without having to take any responsibility for their words.
And that is the key in all of this...no one is being responsibile; the papps, the press, the fans.

I think most of us on this blog are very concerned about the balance between feeding our obsession, and giving our gorgeous guy a long and happy life without constant privacy invasion...what to do??
People say Kristen shouldn't complain because she has millions but money doesn't buy happiness. What good is money if you have no anonymity, when you can't walk down the street or go out to a restaurant without people hounding you or worse, you have the fear of someone hurting you. Nik, I do hope and pray that Rob's level o f fame dies down. I don't see how he could handle it indefinitely.

She must deal with the papps withouth histeria , that is my opinion. Ok she didn't signed for it in 2007( but I think the succes of the book added somethig about the succes of the film), but there were 3 years, the thing is on today and will be in the next year with BD. So girl You can stay with get it, or you can run away from it. That you can make it . You must pay for it anyway, with your money or with your career. And Nik, you said we can show our opinion. You mentioned how 'rights to privacy' should take precedent over 'free speech' and 'freedom of the press'. I agree. But it doesn't.
People's privacy is violated everyday. But the press controls the information and that is more powerful than one individual's rights. And as I said, it's easier to add to our constitution than to take away from it. Which is why some believe it has stood for over 200 years. We don't mess with it too much depending what is going on in the 'now'. And even adding to it, takes years. Hell. It takes our lawmakers years to get anything done. President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation in 1865 at the end of the Civil War, freeing the slaves. And it took another 100 years, 1965before black people achieved their civil rights. We've been talking about national health care since the days of Teddy Roosevelt. Governments are a clusterfuck of bueracacy and misuse of power and it's a miracle we get the roads paved. Sorry. Went off there.
The thing about the press is this...they don't want anything messing with their power. And they fear that if laws are passed restricting the papps, that one day those very same laws can crawl their way into the offices of Time Magazine or the New York Times and tell them what they can print. It's a huge umbrella that all of this falls under. Like pornography.
One man's pornography, is another man's art. And the laws that protect Harper Lee from expressing her opinions in "To Kill A Mockingbird", are the same that allow Larry Flynt to publish "Hustler".
So don't expect any real changes here. I don't. Even papp involvement in the death of Diana Spencer, didn't slow any of this down. Do you remember when they drove those jackals away from the scene of that accident? They were in a bus with their faces covered so they couldn't be seen. Fucking cowards. And to this day, do we even know who those papps were who drove that girl (and two others) to their deaths? Nope. Were they held up to be shamed and scorned by the public? Nope. They were protected.

At the advent of this beast, it was said that the single most important issue we would face in the 21st century is...'rights to privacy'.
Because this thing destroys any privacy for those who have had theirs compromised. This is a very a very hungry beast that needs to fed 24/7. I liken it to this...
The the media are the Romans.
The internet are the lions.
And the famous are the Christians.
They're feeding.
Were eating.
And the Rob's and the Kristen's of the world are being devoured.
And the weird part is, there are some who are more than willing to have their lives served up to the lions. We all know who they are and they'd trade their very souls for fame.
I don't know what the answer is. Well. I do. The lions need to satisfy their appetites with something other that the lives of other people. A little nibble here and there is okay. But were devouring them whole. And as long as were hungry...we will be fed.
Supply and demand.

Have you not noticed how open he was in interviews before he started sitting next to that depressive, suppressive personality that is Kristen Stewart? I pray that he is not engaged with her on any level that goes beyond friendship and professionalism to see the "Twilight Saga" through to it's conclusion.
There is no doubt in my mind that he has more class and heart and talent than she will ever possess.
He has already made as much, if not more, money and gathered more respect than that girl has after many more years of "experience". Kristen just "behaves" like Kristen. One could pluck any performance she's ever done and place it in any movie she's ever done and there would be no difference.
No one can say that about any of Rob's performances. No two are even remotely alike.
I have loved reading all comments over the last year+ that I have logged into this site....but seriously, girls, can we start talking about Rob's talent and stop the Robsten thing? He deserves so much better than Kristen Stewart.

I see "Promotion Rob" in interviews and such (and I love him that way), but unless you have been alone with him before (and if you have, let’s hear the story), and truly got to know him, then what you see is not necessarily what you get. Do I love when he giggles and smiles? Hell yes. Does he do that in private moments? I sure hope so.
I said this in another thread, but women ripping other women apart is on of the saddest and most pathetic things I have seen. Have some respect for this man you are supposedly a fan of, and those in his life. AND when you have had 1/10 of her experience in this clusterf*ck that is Twilight Saga, or walked one mile in either of their shoes, please come back and enlighten us all as to how you would handle it differently.

And taking photos from her in promoting, i think promoting is about it. I've never seen a photo from her when she washing dishes, laying in the grass in her garden. Those things are disturbing her private life. But taking photos in an airport in promoting...no way for regret. And her professional guards. they didn't make a good work, did they? And i think i didn't speak about her and his relationship. that is another theme, but hiding is always interesting for the media, and for the people. but opening is a 3 day sensation. But if my man would harbour me, i would run away from him in hurry.And i would never harbour my man anyway. I'm off for weeks i think.

And men laugh at us for it. And don't respect us because of it. And until we stop this ridiculous, competitive behavior towards one another, we will never achieve the same footing as men.
Although I suspect that most of this behavior comes from young women. Young women of the herd who are manuevering for postition to get the attention of the male.

@Ronda - I totally disagree with you about Kristen's acting abilities. I feel she has done a really great job with Bella - especially in New Moon. I really look forward to seeing her develop the character in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn (the ultimate challenge!)

ReplyDeleteWe obsess over the object of our desire. We want to know what they're doing at the time we think of them, or as near as dammit. So we go to the most immediate source: the internet.
The most immediate pics are usually pap pics, because the sewer rats make their living stalking famous (and not-so-famous) people. So we look at the pap pics. It costs us nothing but time to do so.
And because Homo Sapiens is a sociable species, we all talk about our experiences: what we've seen and how we feel about them.
And because we're (thankfully) all different, some of us agree and some of us disagree, so we end up in discussion. Some of it can be quite enlightening. Some of it can be irritating. Some of it can be amusing. Some of it might actually be instructional.
But it's all here, and until some smart arsed geek manages to invent a filter for threads that only allows one to see the comments one agrees with (God forbid that day ever comes), then we'll all keep seeing all the coments.
However, as Newton proved back in the 1680s or so, when an immoveable object meets an irresistible force, the result is stasis. Nothing moves.
Build a bridge and get over it!

The pappz can be likened to a bunch of vampires out for blood. Or maybe piranhas in the pool scenting blood? I see a few similarities here. I may not be old enough to be Rob's granny but I'm pretty sure I'm older than his mum. He's never going to choose me. I love everything about this man and I want him happy. He looks at one girl, and only one girl, with the most complete adoration I have ever seen on a man's face. A crowd of 20,000 can be screaming at and for him and them but when they stand together nothing else exists. Sorry, but it's true.

On kristen, i'm not really her biggest fan, i don't watch her work (so i won't comment on her acting skills) i do believe she is respected cuz of her work choices. If she gets nominated to an oscar, good for her. That being said, i do think in some way she does complain a lot, all she talks about is how hard her life is now, (rob has it much, much worst and he doesn't bitch about in every single interview), but i did see the pics of her leaving australia and seriously (?) nobody deserves that, that just plain unnecesary and respect should always be present. I think the papzs gave her a hard time because of the flipping the bird things (those scumbags think they're giving her what she deserves). So, yes she might be rich and famous but just cuz of that doesn't mean her privacy can't be respected. But she really should stop complaining, it's getting old!

Answer me one thing, what's the name of this site? Yes that's right ROBsessed. So it's a done deal that all of us lust over Rob. I like nothing better than to come home from work and see pics of a smiley, twikley eyed Robert. Add a few hopefully witty remarks about them, having a laugh along the way. I go to bed happy and satified.
However, the last two nights have been quite diferent. TOO MUCH HATE.
I know we all have "opinions" and we all love to agree to disagree but some of the comments left here are not even relevent.
I love this man and it hurts me to the core when nasty, snidey, back hand comments are made about him, and the people he loves.
Just remember this - A happy at home Rob means a happy at work Rob.

But what annoys me the most is that Kristen was brought up in a thread that has absolutely NOTHING to do with her (I hate that some fawn over her and some criticise her in threads where she doesn't belong). This is why I hope that Robert will distance himself clearly from those rumors soon, so that good threads like this will not devolve into what it is now.
And don't bother responding or getting into a fight with me, it won't work, because this will be my last post on this thread. I wouldn't have even posted if I didn't feel like some of the posts were getting personally hostile.
Oh and those pictures of Kristen with the paps apparently at the airport... she could have taken the exit that Taylor took...just food for thought, and that's all I'm going to say...
And Lexi I agree Robert has it a 1000 times worse, and he has papz lurking on ALL his movie sets, and yet he is always gracious, smiling, and he just ignores the papz and never is impolite. The only reason the papz might be interested in her now, is because she is on a Twilight promo tour, but when she is on any of her other movie sets you don't see anybody (fans or papz-in-general) gathering at her movie sets, nobody cares.
One last thing, I can't wait for WFE! It's just a shame that a WFE thread has to devolve to this, and on this site.

ReplyDeleteThis is a site dedicated to those obsessed with and devoted to Robert Pattinson. We love it when he is smiling and happy. We melt when he's cute and wonky. We pant when he smirks and shows us tongue. We are up in arms when he's upset and hurt.
He has friends and relationships that matter to him. Whatever else we may feel about them does not matter; only what he feels. We need to respect that. We may think we know better, but when have we ever listened when someone has told us what was best for us?
He is scrutinized, analyzed, and idolized. He lives in a fishbowl. He seems to be adjusting with some minor growing pains here and there. He's also a young adult living in an environment that has the potential to implode and explode at the same time. He's going to make mistakes. He's going to be attacked. He's going to be crucified. Who are we, the fans, the public, the media, to sit in judgment of whatever he says, wherever he goes, whomever he loves?
His life is one exhilarated ride that we get to share via the very media that has the power to end that ride. We have to balance our eager need for more Rob and our reluctant intrusion into his life. Easy answer? Hell no.
The point is, why can't we just share in our admiration, devotion, and obsession with Rob without resorting to insults and attacks?

This is a Robobssed site, but there will be times when some relationship issue will come up. I love, love Kristen Stewart... she's brought a character I like to life and I've gone back and watch some of her other work. She seems to choose roles that is different from her life. Good for her, just like RP seems to choose roles that is different from the usual bang shoot em up and RomCom. What I like about KS is she like her private life "private" she's not like the other starlets out there.
