Robert Pattinson - New Eclipse TV Spot - "Missing"

With only 27 days to go, things are ramping up for Eclipse. Here's the new TV Spot "Missing" - I'd rather have more Edward than Riley though!

  2. I am really anxious for this movie.

my 6yr son was home last week and called me at work and sait it was an emergency...he called to tell me that he saw the promo on tv. he tells me "they show bella's mom in this one and she has to chose which one she wants for a boyfriend". so even he is into this one :))

  3. Is it Summit or David Spade with this thing about "The Riley Show"?
Riley is boring. Does Summit think fans are coming to see Riley and the Newborns?
I don't get that. In fact I don't remember them in the book. I must have skipped those parts.

  4. I have a feeling they are focussing a lot on Riley and the newborns to keep attention away from the new Victoria. JMO

  5. just checked, it's not on the official site yet. Wah!

  6. LIsa - ITA, they aren't focusing on victoria at all, it's more on riley's story but it's victoria's vengeance that brings all this on. i really think they made a mistake recasting her but oh well JMO :))

  7. This is really getting me excited (not that I wasn't already)

I agree, wish it was more Edward...but maybe they're saving that for the acutal movie....

  8. Maybe Summit has this confused with Welcome to the Rileys...

    LMAO, sorry couldn't help it...

  9. If they release any more trailers we'll have seen half of the film before we get there...

I like to see Riley, Xavier is easy on the eye. TA with you Ana73 re Victoria. BDH looks good but not as feline or dangerous as Rachelle did in the part. Stupid decision, and few believe that it was due to scheduling problems.

Cannot wait to see Fierceward on the big screen... BIG Fierceward FTW!!

  10. just my opinion, everything or one in the book needs to be in the movie twilight fans will never mind the length of the movie

  11. May be Summit is promoting Xavier to be become another RP... I guess they do not know that he's one of a kind. He has the charm, the charisma, the face, the hidden secret behind the eyes you'd like to read but will never totally figure him out and when you think you know things... he will surprise you. But I guess they have to give us something apart for our most favourite subject.

  12. Just finished reading the book again, and so much of it is from Jacob's POV that I think we'd better prepare for that in the movie.

IMO, as far as the Newborns being featured so much in the promos, they are trying to get the guys to want to see it. Most of the young men I know say they hated Twilight, or the thought of it, until they actually sat and watched it...then they liked it alot!

I'm not watching any more previews (hard as that is) because it will sort of spoil the movie experience for me. I love to be surprised and awed for my $10. After I see it at least twice on the big screen, then I can re-watch all this stuff.
    I can't wait...it's killing me.

  13. @Ana73...too cute!

@Aujouret...Riley is Victoria's pet, who Edward tries to convince that Victoria is no good right before a pivotal scene (which I won't give away in case there are some who have not read the book yet). Not that interesting, so it is curious that he's getting so much hype.

It could be that Summit is just testing different trailers to see which ones get the most response.

However, I really hope David Slade ups the anti with Edward footage in Eclipse. I missed him terribly in New Moon!

  14. Yeah, I have a feeling Summit is going to be shoving Riley down our throats like they did Jacob. I think they're trying to create as many "hearthrobs" as they can, but it just annoys people, doesn't make them love the actors like Rob.

  15. I am actually surprised that they aren't promoting "bree" especially with the companion book coming out this weekend.

bellamarie - i just started to reread eclipse on tuesday night, this one was my favorite of the three :))

  16. Way too little RobWard. Just plain wrong.

Also, HATE the way Bella cries, "Jacob" at the end. Bullshit. Utter bullshit.

  17. Sorry Eclipse, no comment.
Cannot take my eyes from the WFE - pics. They let me not go. Can not think yet.;)

  18. I am not watching. I haven't watched a thing but the first trailer. I am gonna be like a virgin touched for the very first time, like a virgin...

  19. Oh Dina, you are better than me i tried that for Remember Me but there was alot out there...so didn't even try for Eclipse, more and more trailers just keep coming out. But good luck you have 27 more days, i hope you get your eclipserry popped on June 30th ;-)

  20. @Jazz_Girl317: agree...can't believe they have Bella yelling Jacob's name in the clip! *mild irritation, slowing my pause rate, back to normal*

Why can't PR follow in the steps of CH from the first Twilight promos...much more Rob and Kristen, also relaxed and casual. Dynamite combination, and promo pic worthy! :-)

  21. @Anna it's easier now.NM was the difficult part then RM was better now I don't even bother. I want the magic the unknown the darkness the overwhelming music to carry me away and surprise me.

  22. AP ponted out soemthing amazing (at least, to myself) about the trailers. Look very carefully at when the Cullen clan is lined up,(put it on freeze if you need to) and tell me what you think/notice! :-D

  23. I wonder if SUmmit is looking for more goodlooking boys they can make money off of by beng 'heart throbs' or whatever they are calling ROb, and so they give him ('riley')more screen-time. .

    ReplyDelete
  24. maybe its way of communicating edwards mind reading abilities into the script?what he reads in rileys mind,as they verbally fight before they lay hands on each other.in the book edward does pick his brain a little, just a way of adding to the story and thats what they do when going from page to screen.

  25. its possible las; good insight!

  26. Sorry, this hasn't got anything to do with this thread, but after this video finished I spied an old thumbnail of a clip of Peter Facinelli helping to deliver Bella's baby in a comedy sketch. If you've never seen it before, it's hilarious, especially because it really is PF!

  27. @Dina, LOL! Hello, fellow trailer virgin (god, that sounds so wrong)! I wanna go in not having seen most of the movie through clips. I'm gonna shut out the rest of the world and plant myself firmly in the film.

The Riley, werewolf, and battle scenes are meant to draw more guys to the film. I say, why? They've already got so many shoot em up, explosive, fight-filled movies tailored exclusively for the testosterone heavy. Why can't we just revel in Edward and Bella's story? You know, get rid of the extra crap, and get to the good stuff!

  28. @Solas, what do you mean? I don't wanna watch the trailer, so please spill?

    ReplyDelete
  29. jls-- they are little action figure dolls!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. @Solas, really?!! They had to resort to that?!! I don't know if I'm amused or horrified!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Ah, hell, my boss just called, gotta go in and do his dirty work:( See all you lovely ladies later! And, Solas, thanks for answering!

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Solas: um...I replied on the other tv spot comments - not really dolls but look like 'em... sorry, my weirdo humour. However, there is something strange there - some kind of superimposition maybe...anyway...I'll stop now. :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. AP--please do not apologize for 'weirdo' humour! I think it is the only kind I appreciate;-). You know I don't have a normal sense of humour--at least an American normal sense of humour! And I really thought they DID look like action figures, with finely painted faces!

    ReplyDelete
  34. AP--I keep checking and they just look plastic and preformed and arranged stiffly, like dolls. Are you sure they AREN'T? mean, I know vampires aer supposed to be capable of being so still and stone-like, but this really looks plastic!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Maybe it's just my eyes? Or maybe it is from pausing?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Solas, I also think that they look like little action figures. I sure hope it looks better in the final print.
