  17. Kristen needs to be a guest on the food network. She really likes cooking and baking.

  18. Dina: Loquats are actually quite common around here because of the Japanese influence in the farming business. Many people who have a large swathe of land will have a loquat tree or two.

    They taste sort of like a tart plum with heavier, drier flesh. They're not watery like lichees, and not citrusy like kumquats.

    The Splendid Table (NPR cooking show) did a nice little piece on them.

    But anyway.... good to know that:

    1) Kristen is the kind of girl who keeps an exotic mouth-watering pie in her oven!! Very smart lady!

    2) Rob is delighted to sate his obvious oral fixation with lovingly baked lady pies!

    I think these two need to star in a remake of Chocolat, or Water for Chocolate!

  21. Thank you for posting. I had no idea what loquats were and only read that she brought one to the EW interview. The most surprising thing I've learned about Kristen - she bakes, and apparently likes to cook, too. Just another dimension of the girl, and yes, the way to a man's heart as they say.

  22. Loquat's are small and yellow like a gooseberry......when ripe they're sweet and tasty.....can't describe the taste though.....

    Of course Rob would say that....anything his girl makes would be tasty.

    @lallieb,
    Kristen said on Lopez that she loves cooking mexican food so she's gonna send a dish to work with her Dad who works on that show....She said the name of the dish but I didn't know it.Google Lopez and watch it.
