As we reach the half-way point of the year (where has the time gone?!) EF selects the top ten films of 2010 from January through to June. It’s been a surprising 6 months with some of the bigger, more anticipated blockbusters falling to the wayside as hidden gems rose to prominence. July through to December has a great selection of films to look forward to, kicking off this weekend with previews of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Other highlights include the Sylvester Stallone led all-star actioner The Expendables, Toy Story 3, The A-Team, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and of course Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Stayed tuned to EF for all of the latest gossip on these and many more movies.

  26. Hey Rum! :) I feel exactly the same way...I still visit that blog. What an AMAZING movie! I've lost track of the number of times I've watched it. He totally got the character of Tyler and really showed his skills as a great actor in the role. My fifteen year old son said RM is one of his favorite movies. I just wish it would've gotten more positive recognition and less harsh comments from the critics. Am I the only one that misses Tyler when I watch Edward?

  27. I've watched it at least 9 times since the DVD came out. It touches me every single time. I love Tyler.

  28. May this film and Rob's acting in it get such recognition from all the film rating establishments.
The little movie that could. :-)

  29. Hi Solas, I was surprised, then not, (Hello to me, it's sundown now) to see you here. I'm just grazing through the threads. Saw Eclipse in IMAX theater this afternoon. Have you seen it yet? I posted on the spoiler thread. Just want to make sure you're OK with the hit you got from CC, but maybe you don't even know, best you don't. Doesn't matter, but was so offensive, don't want you to feel bad in any way, but sure you know better.

  30. lallieb-- Stars came out at about 9:20; I turn on the computer shortly after that.

I hope to see Eclipse tomorrow in IMAX; would like to see how much a difference in viewing it is. Based on my frst viewing, I agree wth so many commenters on these threads about the love story being compromised. I realize not everythng can be in a film based on a book, but the true love, the true inside inner deep love between Bella and Edward, that moved me to read these books and love them even though I don't see them as real literature, even though I cringed at the writing, DID seem compromised by the script and the directing. I will watch again tomorrow to see if I get a different impression.

As for the comments by that one: My mum taught me way back when she was toilet training me (at the tender age of 1), that we flush shyte; we don't talk to it. I've kept that lesson and it serves me well. So there was no problem there. :-D

  31. @solas, look forward to your opinion on second viewing on IMAX. Email me if you wish to discuss.

  32. I decided to see it regular screen again tomorrow as the traffic to the IMAX wll be horrid. Will put off seeing it in IMAX til the holiday traffic is over and done.

  33. Told you so.

    femroc...You got that right.
    Rum...fantastic blog!
    Heidi...*waves*
ShariG and AP...Hello...Don't know what EF is either.
    solas...*hugs* keep strong.
    Lallieb...Hello!

I'm still writing RM pieces. There's so much to be said about this gorgeous, magnificent film.

    ReplyDelete
  34. i was now reading a magazine heading jacob vs edward, did bella make the right choice,so the writer went to kristen to ask what was her thought on this, and kristen told the writer she went deep in bella's heart and yes she knows jacob loves her and bella also loves jacob, then she said their are two kinds of love, she said to love someone and to be in love with someone!kristen then bella loves jacob and is grateful to him for helping her when edward left her,but jacob never took edward's place in her heart, then she said to her bella loves edward just as much as he loves her and they belong together!and i said 'well done kristen, speak for bella''she even said bella knows exactly what she wants

  35. @Heidi, @jessegirl **waves** Yes, we all loved that film so much and we go on spreading the word about RM. There's Kat's American blog, there's mine, and there's jessegirl who writes fantastic pieces for both blogs, and there's another discussion thread on a French forum. And maybe many more we don't know about. We can't forget RM! And people go on responding to it. I'm sure that it will slowly get more and more recognition as time goes by.

  36. I don't really understand on what this list is based exactly.. but in terms of good films.. I agree with Remember Me and Kick Ass, also Alice in Wonderland and The Runaways.. and maybe Date Night.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @femroc... they didn't pay VERY much attention to detail as according to that drivers license Rob is 31 years old...lol

    ReplyDelete
  38. xoRobxo, 1979+22=2001. So they paid attention for the litle details. Don't they ?

    ReplyDelete
  39. His role was awesome angry kid with a soft side and wanting to be loved. Captured well. Not to mention hes blimin gorgeous. Mwah x

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well, that list would be more impressive to me if "The Wolfman" wasn't on it. I mean, WTF!? Seriously?! It was like the worst movie I've ever seen. Awful. A complete waste of time.

    Who is EF anyway?

Rob was very good in RM, which is probably the only reason I saw it... I hate endings like that and usually AVOID them like the plague. (I did walk out before the heart fail.)
