I really loved this scene in the movie. The boys look dangerous! And yummy!
I just loved seeing Edward with these new facial expressions - so much more of him comes out in Eclipse, I totally loved it. Well done David Slade, you did a great job with this one.
Hoping to go tonight for my 2nd viewing - probably on my own this time - and take it in properly. I saw New Moon, what, seven times, so I'm sure this one will get as many viewings before it leaves the cinema! Oh, and then there's the DVD!

This is totally OT but I tried to reach Emancipation Proclamation and it says that it's accessible only to invited users. What's going on? I've been reading that story for months and I can't stop now! Does anybody know how to get invited or contact the blog admin? Thank you :)
I don't like this scene - out of character. The idea was to train with Jasper, the expert. I don't know why he was fighting with Carlisle. "don't turn your back on you enemy" c'mon, E is a mind reader, impossible to take him by surprise. The best Jasper could achieve was a draw. One of those moments taking away from his character.
I really love this scene as well, def. one of my faves. The music is also fabulous (amazing soundtrack). I love Edward's smirk before he starts fighting Carlisle. Jasper is uber sexy as well! So many hot vampires, so little time! :-)
@CarolUK ITA - love this scene too - is this the bit where rob wears the infamous karate pants?!!!! Can't really tell...... also love the bit at the end where Jasper gives that exasperated look and says "one more thing never turn your back on your enemy..." So much more humour in this film. OT - but in another thread a few people were dissing Slade - I think he did an awesome job - IDK whether he and rob didn't hit it off - but I think he has got a really good performance out of him - also thought Kristin was the best so far in the series and Taylor Lautner a revelation - his acting has come on leaps and bounds. Actors and directors will always have a difference of opinions - don't forget they are approaching the film from two different angles- Slade obviously had his vision of the movie and Rob his for Edward - this film could have become a cheese fest - I think Slade pulled it off - the romance was good - the lighting/shots were amazing - especially the ECU's and the darker elements of the novel were just that dark! I did feel that some of the score was a bit slushy and sentimental in parts but all in all I think if Slade was dictatorial - it helped the film - maybe that tension between the two added a little frisson to the film!

I actually think Robs performance was the best so far - Kristin was much more natural and Taylor has grown as an Actor - so Slade has done something right!

Oh my, Eclipse is such a good looking film - words cannot describe how beautiful Edward Cullen is... His skin is perfect and his eyes are - well just wow! I just love Rob a little bit more every time I see him playing Edward. And this must surely be his best yet... His emotions really shine through.
Great performances from everyone in this - Kristen was superb, Taylor did so well, Jackson, Kellen, Ashley, Nicky everyone.
Well done Mr Slade, you nailed Eclipse for me. Not perfect, some bits missed out, but a really enjoyable film. And a pleasure to see my favourite Twlight book up on the big screen in such style.

Don't know about fangs, but I have noticed these Edward's teeth do kind of look different to Rob's on occasions in these films.
