If R&K had done this, on their own? I'd be squeeing. But since it was part of a planned line-up of cast appearances? It's just kinda...sad. And mind-boggling desperate for a film that made more than a quarter billion in less than a week.

Gwen: absolutely true. There is really no reason for Summit to make the Twitrio do fly-by appearances like this anymore. They can flat out refuse anything non-major at this point, and I'm sure they do when it suits them.
ReplyDeleteIn fact there are more negatives than positives right now, A) for security reasons and B) because of overwork (WFE).
So perhaps R&K had another agenda in mind when they agreed to this appearance. Me thinks they know what they're doing!
Great to see them together for the holdiay. Rob and his layers in July but that's Rob.

ReplyDeleteYes, I wasn't expecting any more promotion. Seems like Summit are trying to keep up the momentum which normally tapers off by this point. Were the 4th July fireworks (that no one attended) a publicity stunt to keep the momentum going too? It's nice that they came to the theatre but Rob has plenty going on and WFE is supposed to be wrapping very soon and I was expecting that he'd get a break he deserved.
