Okay, haven't been here for a while, but the print size is interesting...and, I absolutely love the idea of Rob giving his parents a boiler for Christmas!
As Nik said, the winds were primarily in the Valley, but I can tell you my drive from Santa Monica (work right on the beach) to Long Beach was no cake walk. The wind literally pushed my car from side to side...thankfully no fatalities, and power outages for several residents remain the our major concern!
I know, it is a new trend now. My daughter has to wear one. She started recently. At first I was worried but it seems that she is even more popular in school now.

Dude, it all boils down to whether one is interested in (shared experience of)porn or more. Ultimately, what any of us can do is speak our mind but things here are what they ARE. The guy in question is just a medium we bounce our ideas, perceptions, fantasies off of. What those are merely shows what we are about and whether we are all about JUST ourselves. What felt bad about my own participation in vulgar text about him was that it is counter to what he really is. Whether he every reads it or knows about it became irrelevant to me. It's the same with the papz participation....showing interest in that goes agianst him. Ultimately, it became more about HIM than about ME. The relationship to Rob (not with Rob, because this here is a one way relationship exclusively for OUR pleasure) we have here IS the only one we'll ever have, so there's no point in contrasting what we do here with "what it would be if we met him in RL". We're not going to meet him in RL, NEVER, none of us (those for whom he signs an autograph or whatever are also meeting him NOT in RL, not HIS real life). So whatever we say here defines our relationship to him. If it consists of repeating objectifying comments and regarding the whole thing as a big playground or joke, then that's all there is to it. Again, no problem with that, everybody chooses for themselves, let's just call a spade a spade.
I could never beleive that RP made that comment unless i had proof...makes more sense to me to think that was a desperate attempt by a fan to justify that what she is doing is harmless (out of her own guilt and desire that he not be offended by it).
I dont think there is anything wrong with sexual fantasy, RA. It is a natural condition in our inner sexuality and it serves a purpose or would not exist. My problem lies with comments made that objectify Rob (or anyone)....meaning, they make him into an object for their sexual desire. It is demeaning and it diminishes that person (as a whole). FB does this blatantly (proudly) first with her avi, then her name, on her website and in her comments. People like her (and others) leave him no choice (abstractly) than to be their virtual porn star. He deserves better fans.
Good for you for speaking your mind so calmly about what you believe in with such integrity. You'll probably be in a minority but all views should be expressed and it would be good if more people did this. The only reason my comments about Rob aren't generally too objectifying is because he wouldn't be remotely interesting to me if he didn't have the personality, talent and inner beauty, he'd just be another beautiful model. Luckily he has everything and although I'm as human as the next person, I'm OK with leaving the lust factor with those who can express it better than I ever could. I don't agree or disagree with you, the balance on here in all respects seems about right to me. But if I felt that something extreme was clearly beginning to dominate and get out of hand in an unpleasant way, I'd probably say my piece and fade away.

I'd forgotten about that, good discussion, but from what I remember I thought it ended OK. I think I've turned into a "no regrets" person in my old age. For me personally, I've learnt it's best to be direct and say what Iwant to say when Iwant to say it - even if it doesn't go down too well. Much healthier than going on a slow boil!
