  2. Terrific pic! It's been a little lonly here! Is everyone at "Tent City"

    ReplyDelete
  3. I think some people can't comment because of a problem with disqus. Leah said she is getting a message that says: "disqus does not support your browser". I hope they fix it fast. This is so annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I have had at let on fan write in to rub it in our faces. Those lucky bitches are having a terrific time in Tent City. I imagine some of the cast will make several visits to schmooze with the fans.

  5. Just saw that "Maps to the Stars" is now listed in Rob's IMBD page...says he will be playing the character "Jerome"...that it's currently in pre-production. Can't wait for this new collaboration with David C, and to also have Viggo M in the same movie.

  6. Ack. That's not cool. Disqus is really annoying now. And it's also quite hard to backread sometimes, since the comments get stacked on the same level/row/whateverthey'recalled, it kinda takes away the joy of reading the convos. :(

    ReplyDelete
  7. It seems to split somewhere in a conversation too.....I can't really explain it because I haven't yet worked it out. I was having a long conversation with 2 or 3 people yesterday and when I went to try to re-read a part it wasn't where I expected it to be :/ I don't mind the stacking rather than moving each comments to the right as, you may not know how cross I used to get, we don't lose the reply button now and that to me outweighs the aggravation lol We need a manual !!!
btw it's nice to see somebody else use 'convoluted' - my girls tell me nobody else ever says that word LOL

    ReplyDelete
  8. Quiet on the Rob news front this morning, so I've been watching the 'water fight' again (and again..and again...) love it so much, and boy that suit is tight....yummy!!!! Tomorrow I will buying my Cosmopolis DVD......can't WAIT...!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Good Morning :) I though it was quiet this morning too !!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Morning. I'm quite enjoying the quiet - the sun is shining, birds are singing !! Calm before the fantastic storm. So much to look forward to this week. But more importantly.....did you watch it?????????

    ReplyDelete
  11. I know its sunny here too :) and yes I watched it, Rob was brilliant I didn't get to see it in the cinema so had waited so long !!!! The extras and interviews BTS was also very intereseting :)
This week is going to be so good will be staying up for any livestream from USA :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. LOL! What wrong with 'convoluted'? It's more fun to say! Haha. ;) I may or may not have seen the said display of aggravations before. LMAO Yeah, where's that manual when you need it. Grr. :))
Actually, I won't mind the change as well, if not only for 5 things.
    1. Small avis. It's a bummer. I want to see big Robs. :)
    2. The stacking. I can't explain it well too, but I think, if the convo is between two people, it is acceptable to just stack them above each other, it's easier to read that way. But if it's between more than two, disqus should do something,or at least they should put 'markers' or something to the conversation so that you could follow it well, and avoid those splits. Sometimes they're all on the same level but the talk/reply is placed two comments down. Should I just really set my settings into newest? O.o
    3. Anonymous voters (either up or down). It'd be much better to still see who voted you up ; or down as well, so that you'll have an idea 'who' they are. >:)
    4. Can't open a profile to another tab. I don't always want to leave the current page I am in, so if I'm sort of sleuthing with the commenters' profile, I just 'right click+open in new tab' it before. Now, nothing. It just duplicates the page I am in. :|
    5. The 'share' thing. I don't think anyone would appreciate their comments aired somewhere else without their permission. I mean, this is pretty much an open blog. but it's a different matter that way.

But overall, I'm quite fine with it. I think we'll get used to it. *grumbles* lol

    ReplyDelete
  13. Nothing's wrong with it...I use it all the time....but think how often you hear other people use it....not often!! LOL
I think between us all we are making our own manual...it's just that the information isn't available in one place.

    1. AVIs were part of the fun...seeing everybody's choices of Rob looks
    2. I don't think your settings will help but have a go...we attempted settings when it first changed. In fact I was flipping between the two to assess and it caused a major melt down lol everything on my page was flickering up and down the page and I had to shut it down to get it to stop!!
    3. Anonymous voting is a sham....you feel you have to leave some kind of comment now. At the natual end of a conversation or just acknowledgement you could 'like' that person would know you had acknowledged but now you feel like your leaving them hanging! You have to do something or appear rude (is that just me???) even just a smiley.
    4. I think I know what you mean....when the person's profile comes up there is a little green arrow with Go Back over on the left hand side on the same level as their avi.....click on that and it closes the profile. That help? or am I on the wrong track?
    5. 'Share'?? what??? I appear to be missing something here lol

    ReplyDelete
  14. Off course he was..!!! (laughs), and worth the wait. I'm looking forward to the extras - any new footage ? (ie, not seen already by us greedy buggers!) I think I'll be doing the early morning catch ups rather than late nights...wish we could put 'real life' on hold....!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Good morning ladies...how are you guys doing? I am eating breakfast so be careful what you say, because I could Regurgitate:( lol

    ReplyDelete
  16. Really well thanks.....hope you're enjoying your breakfast ! What could we possibly say that would make you do 'that'...?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Good morning :) Now we wouldn't want to cause you to do that lol :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh, let me guess.....anything having to do with "my" rob that I don't know about, especially if its from the extra/BTS that I don't know about!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I was waiting for you ladies to start talking about the stuff from the DVD BTS!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Its mainly a journey through the making of but plenty of interviews with cast :) Well I dont have to be up for anything in the morning and noticed the LA premier is at 12.30am here so not too bad and my hubby is on nights so got place to myself ;)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Fair enough (laughs). I'll be watching it tomorrow, and I promise if there are any 'bits' that are worth mentioning, I will be mentioning them...!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. By the way...'my' Rob...!!!! hmmmmm...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ahh,okay, true enough. :))
Hmm. Yeah. Shall we make a post about that? But I'm afraid I'm not that much of a techie to author a How-to-use-Disqus manual. lol
    1. *nods vehemently*
    2. Agree. It does no significant changes, really. LMAO to your experience. And there's something wrong with me for reading 'assess' differently. XD
    3. True, true. it's not just you. I already feel bad for replying late because of time differences sometimes or for running out of reply because I could only agree, so 'likes' are really helpful to show that I've seen it. *sigh* And I really think it would would be great if it's not anonymous, that way you could also see who voted you down. Not for revenge or anything (well, unless if you're a vengeful type LOLJK), just so that we could be aware.
    4. Yes! It's helpful! It brings you back to where you really left off. Haven't tried that before. I think I'm just so hard-headed in insisting it to open in a new tab. Geez. lol Thank you so much! :D I now only have 4 general problems with disqus. Yay!
    5. Share is the button beside the reply, wherein if you hover your mouse there, few more buttons will appear. (twitter, facebook and...I dunno what it is, maybe embed link? Haha.) Dunno how it works though, haven't tried it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Haha !!.... well the interviews on set with Rob in yellow t-shirt is part of it and it shows some of the scenes are set up and starting at the beginning and running through to the end, its lovely hearing David praise Rob for all sorts of things throughout :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Great, can't wait!!!!! I also can't wait to watch that movie.
I want just two, things for Christmas a Cosmopolis DVD and see BD2!!!!! I don't need much as you can see!!!! I am RobRobRob all the time:))

    ReplyDelete
  26. Love when David talks about Rob, because he is always fill with praises for our Rob!!! Omg, I can't wait for the freaking DVD, and all that we have coming to us starting tomorrow!!!!! That's all I want!!! I am busting with happiness and joy:))))

    ReplyDelete
  27. Okay to round up...... on (2) are you reading 'arses' not assess??? (3) I don't even look at the likes and dislikes very often, if at all.....I can't tell who liked and I certainly don't want to know who disliked, on anybody's comments! The share bit I remember seeing when it changed but then completey ignored along with the up and down arrows lol You're right though I wouldn't want anything I say appearing somewhere else out there in www land. Here is 'anonymous' and amongst like-minded people. I defintely think THAT should be removed. The rest I can live with but that is intrusive and invading my privacy by the possibility that it may appear where I don't want it to!! I cetainly didn't sign up to that! Did everybody else know this but me????????

    ReplyDelete
  28. (2) Uh, yep. LOL
    (3) I see. It really depends on the user then. :)
The share and ignored bit... lol
Hmm, I'm not really sure how it works, I don't think anyone in the board has actually used that feature(if you could call it that), but I remember a few who raised that point as well before. But yeah, I haven't really tried it, maybe/hopefully one will receive a notification if some attempted to 'share' it or something, but I dunno what really happens.
I guess for the most part we don't pay attention to it, so... it's all good? Heh. :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. I know it makes you all warm and fuzzy inside :) its a shame you have to wait so long for the dvd :( !!! and I know its going to be great this week :)........ want it to get here but don't want it to go too fast either !!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Very convenient...!!!! I'm off out to enjoy the sunshine...!!
(By the way I agree with the discussion below.....this threeway conversation is a mess !!!!!)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Did you know about that share button whence??? I feel like I have to change my name or something.....it wouldn't be difficult for somebody to work out if it appeared elsewhere would it??? I feel mild panic coming closer..........

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't want to put ideas into anybody's head but...............there are other possiblities :-(

    ReplyDelete
  33. What are we gonna do after that? We are gonna have to wait till next year when he starts filming? Ok.....best to not think too much about that now, right? No, we shouldn't. Lets just (lust ) sorry savor every moment, and enjoy what's coming to us!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Lol, I do that a lot, don't now why? Ok ok 'ours'!! I keep forgetting he's not just mine. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yep. Don't wanna venture there. Sorry for upsetting you. :(

    ReplyDelete
  36. I don't want to think too much about that at the moment !!! Really looking forward to this week but also don't want it to go too quickly !!!
Hopefully the Dior thing will come to fruition :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Just found out recently.... and I don´t like it either! Yeah a neutral name would be better I think.... it´s incredible what one could find out over the www if he wants unfortunately :(

    ReplyDelete
  38. I know, its out of my head. until tomorrow!!!!
BTW, I can just picture Rob in his Dior commercial! He's wearing a nice skinny suit, that fits the shape of his bod, Oh so well. He is in my Sunday NJT style section, a huge pic of him in color. Imagine that. Um um um

    ReplyDelete
  39. No....I'm fine really :-)

I think it may be something to 'explore' though. Somebody needs to put something really innocuous as a comment. Somebody else then needs to share to their facebook, where it can be easily removed and see how the process works.
Or something like that LOL until somebody tries it out we will never know !! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ummm I think I can picture that ;)..............I have a pretty good imagination ;)

    ReplyDelete
  41. I wouldn't know what to do now?? I would just feel like I was cheating......I know that's odd but if I had put up something to begin with that would be fine but to backtrack feels......slightly wrong :/ I know some of the people on here now. Oh dear....decisions, decisions......

    ReplyDelete
  42. Lets not forget the TV commercial:)) O MY O MY....

    ReplyDelete
  43. Can't wait for tomorrow, the anticipation is getting to me.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Well you can always explain in the text and I would think that the information spreads rather quickly. When bwen did it a while ago it wasn´t that long that people found out although she kept it covered for a while.... Then there is the possibility to add some "aka..." to the new name and let it slip after a while.....

    ReplyDelete
  45. Gaah I know I will be watching however late it runs !!! can't wait to see them on the red carpet ;)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Is it time again to practice our breathing exercise!!! Breathe in and out, ok!!!
Hey do you see the conversation they are having below about Disqus?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Wow, I have been enlightened, I didn't know any of this. Good to know.
Plus, I totally agree with the conversations between you ladies about Disqus.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Heavy breathing you mean LOL !!!! Ive read some of it and yes I agree the new set up is a little annoying and a pain to follow conversations if its more than one person !!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Tried pushing buttons to see what happens, the facebook one in my case, logged-in with my RL account (wise move LOLOL) and it just practically linked to Robsessed and the thread where it came from. One thing I noticed though is it only shows on the preview what the main comment is, like for example, in this thread, I used my comment to you as the one to be shared. But on the preview, RobertAddicted's comment above is what was being shown. There is a 'share' and 'cancel' buttons, so of course I click the cancel one so it won't be posted on my wall. :))
Yeah, better test it with a dummy fb/twitter account and have an accomplice. But I don't have one either though. I'm a lazy-head to follow through. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  50. I am assuming RoBsessed will post which channel is broadcasting it here, and what time, because I don't know where to look and what time it will be on. I hope there is a channel that will bring it live here, if not, we will get to see all the little bits the next day.

    ReplyDelete
  51. :-D I think it is important to know what could happen and to keep control about our own activities. I guess bwen will be on it soon (like I know her;) and let us know how we can avoid getting published where we did not chose....

    ReplyDelete
  52. True that.
now that are talking about the 'Share' button and how people can probably track/see what you are doing on other site. Crazy, I didn't even know that. Luckily I don't have any other accounts. It's very interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I know about the share button but just ignore it but it mainly come up on the star button , I do have twitter but don't share it lol I mainly follow this site and other rob fans lol !!Im sure there will be a link to watch the premiere otherwise its on yahoo apparently !!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I´m sorry.... ;)
I´m out with the dog now, he´s giving me the stare ;)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Wow, I had no idea that this could happened. This is serious, because I don't want what I say here to go anywhere else?
So let me get this straight, our info can be shares/ be made public for others to see, all because that 'Share' button is now here?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Oh, ok. I was a little confused about the share button. So I was asking the question below. So if you shared your twitter/Facebook, then people would be able to see, what you are doing here, at Robsessed?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Interesting.
I'm struggling to keep up with messages at the moment..,,,give me a bit to think about it and I'll come back lol

    ReplyDelete
  58. yes that's correct so its not so bad !! I just ignore it most of the time and if you do have fb or twitter it will only share if you want it to :) That was present on the old diqus if you liked the page !!

    ReplyDelete
  59. You're welcome :) Off to have my roast lunch now :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. it seems so... When I remember correctly there was a share button before but not with each comment but with the thread?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Ok, I think RUL, just did a test and it confirms your fears. I think.

    ReplyDelete
  62. LOL. My hands work faster than my brain sometimes. Sorry for confusing you. I even confused Robsfantastic and myself in our conversation. =))
Bottomline is I finally just made a dummy facebook account to follow through with our 'test' theory, and the answer is yes, it can be posted on facebook as a link, and once you click that, it will take you here in the thread and bring you directly on the comment that was shared. Case closed. *pouts and flies away*

    ReplyDelete
  63. short stroll.... too windy (for me)... unfortunately the dog´s lust to stroll ascends with the decline of the temperature and the increase of humidity.... He can sniff for hours in the pouring rain...

    ReplyDelete
  64. No don't edit anything....nobody can trace back to you personally can they? I assume your name isn't actually 'RamdomlyUnlurking' ? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  65. Well Done That Woman.....You're a star!!!
Some thinking to be done ..........

    ReplyDelete
  66. Poor you :-( Most people moan when it's windy - I quite like it if it isn't raining lol My dog doesn't like rain so he's usually in more of a hurry to get back than me lol

    ReplyDelete
  67. Hi Robsfantastic! I'm just gonna reply here, 'coz I confused us both. lol Sorry about that.
Anyway, yeah, I just tested it on facebook and found out that yes, what we're all thinking is very much true.
I actually asked you if I could use one of your comments to 'share' on my dummy facebook account(freshly made, just a few minutes ago lol), and it does work. I edited my comment to you right after, so that's why you can't see it anymore. :)

That said, since you haven't received a notification like "RandomlyUnlurking shared your comment at facebook" or something to that effect, I could assume a generalization that anyone here could link our comments without us being aware of it. Given that this is a public blog, it could be expected already, but I just really tested it to 'see' the inner workings and extent of the feature. I guess we should really just be watchful on sharing very private infos on the site, like full names or address. As long as the anonymity is still there (well, as anonymous as we can get with our monikers and AVIs), I think we'll be just fine. Okay, I'm done yapping away about this matter. I've caused enough emotional and intellectual havoc.XD

    ReplyDelete
  68. Yes I saw it :( The problem is that it is not only a choice for ourselves but it could be misused.... I understand that the goal is to connect and link and for some people it is what they want/like. But I wonder if it is correct/legal to not have control about it whether your comment is shared or not.... I think I will send a request...

    ReplyDelete
  69. Okay, I won't. Thank heavens that is not my real name. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  70. haha I tried the share on fb but nothing happened !!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Nah, it's just my very curious and meddling self that made this possible. :) lol

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yep. Bombard disqus with feedback re: this issue. >:)

    ReplyDelete
  73. Thank you RU once again for the test and the conclusion. I think you are right with your suggestions for anonymity and may I add: it starts with the email adress we are registered.....

    ReplyDelete
  74. It didn't load to facebook or you couldn't link to it via facebook??

    ReplyDelete
  75. hmmm could your dog skype with mine about it and convince him to follow his lead?

    ReplyDelete
  76. you have to have your other accounts linked to disqus which i do have with twitter but not fb but you can ignore the share, not sure if other people share it though !!

    ReplyDelete
  77. lol follow his lead ;p Oh you really wouldn't want my insane dog to pass on any of his bad habits....It's taken him 13years to build them all up....there are a few lol

    ReplyDelete
  78. Sure, sure. ;)

I actually have 3 different email accounts : (1) a personal one- for RL facebook and other social networking sites and personal contacts; (2) a formal one for school use--like when my groupmates need to send files to me or I'm corresponding with my professors, I could give a decent emailadd name lol and (3) the all-things-fandom-related one - what I use for disqus, fanfic account etc. That way, they are pretty much segregated. :D

I'm all for being a proud fangirl, but understand that some can't have their fandom life to mix with their RL work or business so taking steps to avoid that from happening is very crucial. So yeah, we all have our own ways in dealing with this online life. :D

Alright, I really have to sleep now, have classes tomorrow. Over and out! :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. Thanks for laying your body on the line for the rest of us. That's very interesting. This form ipof informative yapping is very helpful to all, and should be welcome by all in my opinion. So, thank you very much, I will be more careful about personal info.

    ReplyDelete
  80. That's a good point, because I would not want my comments to be used without my knowledge?.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Rob could never say no to a cup during a talk show. He loves his water. lol
It's so sad to see so many people would drown him in a spoonful of water if they could. I don't understand the animosity. Even if they don't like his actions, behavior or acting, what have he done to them personally to deserve such hate? I really don't get the source of hate and evil.

    ReplyDelete
  82. You´re a smart girl RU! Sweet dreams!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Can someone else share your comment ? I thought it was only yourself who could decide if you wanted to share or not.

    ReplyDelete
  84. not sure how that would work because you can share all comments !!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Yes we just found that out! Unfortunately.
Randomlyunlurking just tested it and it work, she was able to take my comment and share it.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Is anyone having trouble with the new DISQUS. I kept getting a message saying the browser you are using is not supported by this application and couldn't open the comments. If anyone else is having this problem I solved it by going to the Tools button on your browser Internet Options - Advanced - Browsing - and untick Automatically recover from page layout errors with Compatibility View'. Its been working fine since then and have had no problems. It may not work for everyone but for me it was a success.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Mark Kermode - probably the most honest film critic in the UK - has just given a great review of Rob's performance in Cosmopolis (The Guardian DVD review). Worth a read. He didn't like the film much, even though he is a huge Cronenberg fan, but thought Rob's performance was great. Mark is a tough but fair critic and I know that Rob will relish this review more than others. I don't think Rob is anywhere near to accepting how good he is, he is constantly saying he does not know what he is doing - well carry on doing it Rob, you are amazing, and one day you will believe that you are a great actor (but don't let it go to your head) xxxxx

    ReplyDelete
  88. Hi Whence,
So I f I read this correct, anyone who has acess to disqus can share anyones comments on another media ?
And you are saying that all the info we share here on the email adress we have attached to disqus people can search on ???

    ReplyDelete
  89. So were all going to change our names and emails ???And countries ?

    ReplyDelete
  90. I have now got to the point where I have thrown my hands up with a distinct cry of 'sod it !!!!!' I cannot be bothered to think about it any more! I am only half way through washing my floor which I started hours ago LOL and have been running on adrenaline for hours! Enough! If somebody is sad enough to put the tenuous links together let them LOL
Tomorrow if I think of a new name I may change my mind LOL

    ReplyDelete
  91. You're forgiven. (and I totally understand..!)

    ReplyDelete
  92. I read or heard somewhere Rob said he would be the chauffeur. That means a suit and tie everyday!

    ReplyDelete
  93. He could be a paparrazzo. Not sure about the script.

    ReplyDelete
  94. More or less... the email adress would only be trackabel for a hacker I think. But your moniker and robsessed are a "good" combination for the google search...

    ReplyDelete
  95. By reading the comments I learned a few things. 1.)Never hit share under penalty of death. 2.) Only nut cases use the vote down button, unless it is a troll or a hater.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I've heard a lot of Mark Kermode, he's like the Roger Ebert of the UK, isn't he? Wasn't he the one who drove in a limo, interviewing Rob and David while they were promoting Cosmopolis in London? A man with glasses, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  97. How is it that I can't see Jimmy Fallons show? Not one vid, due to propriety rights or something in the likes. I'm really pissed now.
Enjoy your limo ride, Hannah, have my copy already.

    ReplyDelete
  98. But your name is Maria!! Well, how many Maria's are there in the UK? Can't be too difficult to find! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  99. Yes that's him - I don't have much time for critics, but he is totally honest and independent. He has a blog every week that you can access through the BBC website and normally what he says is good - is ! He likes weird though!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Aaw how sweet...I'm playing catch up so came to reply to the comment that you have now deleted lol Don't worry I wasn't offended in the slightest. I'm getting nowhere in my decision to change name :-) The suggestion of studmuffinsmurf has now led to a lengthy conversation of its own LOL

    ReplyDelete
  101. I saw Cosmopolis today. I saw Robert Pattinson as Eric Packer. I say it briefly - in my humble opinion Robert Pattinson is great in this movie. From the very first decision that he need a haircut to waiting for the last shot. For me, the average viewer, someone's acting is convincing or not. Rob convinced me that he is Erick Packer. Every feeling, every state - from the weariness to the amusement - I read from his face. I can't even find the right words to describe it in the way he deserves.
I must admit that without reading the book I wouldn't probably understood the film at all. Thanks to the book, at least I know who is who and what role plays. I must admit that the books-allegories whose meaning you need to find using the symbols and subtext, aren't my favorite type of literature. But thanks to Robert I read the book and I saw the movie. And both got me thinking and, hopefully, expanded my horizons.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Thank you Hannah. I owe you one.!!

    ReplyDelete
  103. Thanks Rockmovie, well in that case Rob should give an even more sterling performance seeing that he has so much experience in that field.........

    ReplyDelete
  104. Thanks Cathy, suit Rob sounds great. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Hope he has a substantial part. I would really love for him to do something big for everyone to see.

  105. Fantastic Alex.....So now you are a part of the club.....:-DI cannot believe you waited to watch it you are one tough lady :-)
Concerning the book versus the film, my impression is that the more times you have seen it, along with trying to understand the lyrics, it becomes more and more poetic and beautiful in its own way, I mean the emotions, and the way the scenes play and are filmed, in this film, is one of a kind in my opinion. It is definately not an easy book to read, but even analyzing the song Mecca (K´naan) gave me a bit of difficulties the other day...and you know what they say if you see things as a challenge and you dont give up, you will eventually succeed :-D

  106. Thanks for putting this up - otherwise it would have been impossible to see this in small clips. And what's up with our friend Disqus thankfully it still has my avi and name but still was it how it was before I don't even remember.
Ellen is always gracious towards Twilight and especially to Rob- he seems very comfortable here unlike even in some press interviews where by the journalist is waiting for any slip up to guide him / her to the next question.
I am going to post this dunno if it will - disqus I mean!!

  107. I wish I could have seen Cosmopolis in the theater :(

  108. In the Observer today, Kermode wrote an article entitled, 'Move over, Luke Skywalker… I'm a Twilight man'. Of course, this unleashed a huge rash of comments including a critique about Stephenie Meyers 'questionable' metaphoric use of Vampire. It's very entertaining!

  109. This is the one I've been watching...it's just the water fight...short but VERY sweet.

    And thanks...I will !!!!

  110. Not sure if it's okay to say this but I went to Robert Pattinson Australia (it is mentioned down below "our affiliates") - hope you can see that one okay. And thanks, I will enjoy my limo ride..!!

    ReplyDelete
  111. But it was worth the wait. I knew that to watch this movie I need time, silence and concentration. I was very surprised (in a good way) that the film is almost without exception screen adaptation of the book (although they cut out the scene with naked bodies and subsequent sex scene Eric with his wife). The problem for me are their lines (their hidden meaning, second bottom) and the symbolism of Eric's actions - why that barber (there were few more on his way), why he needs to be daily examined by a doctor, why he buys more yen against common sense and so on. So many questions... I haven't read any reviews before, because I didn't want to form an opinion before seeing a movie. So now, I hope you help me. :-))

P.S. "and you know what they say if you see things as a challenge and you dont give up, you will eventually succeed" - beautifully said, Lotte :-)

    ReplyDelete
  112. Alex...I would be more than pleased to talk about the actions of Eric, symbolism etc, because I want to talk about them too,and find out if I got it right ! Lets do it tomorrow because it is getting late, and maybe some others will join .-)Sweet dreams

  113. Thanks for the heads-up on this - I don't get The Observer, but I'll try and seek out a copy.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Well excuse me but thats bloody ridiculous! Not happy about that.

    ReplyDelete
  115. He is great - I read the book first as well and saw the film twice at the cinema. Watching it the first time you are mesmorised by the story and Rob's acting, but when you watch it again, you can appreciate more the subtle changes in Rob's performance as Eric as he careers towards the final showdown with Benno. He deserves an award for this film but there are still a lot of 'critics' out there who cannot bring themselves to admit that he is very talented and not just a pretty (beautiful) face.

    ReplyDelete
  116. I know you can send feedback to discus, but has anyone ever got a reply?

    ReplyDelete
  117. Just read it - amazing ! Hats off to Mark :))

    ReplyDelete
  118. I agree, Iv'e listened to him for years and I find him honest and consistent, don't always agree with his reviews but I definitely respect his opinion. His obsession with The Exorcist is a little OTT, but I believe that's one of Rob's favs as well ?

    ReplyDelete
  119. I know, I am now very careful with my personal info. I was telling my husband about it, and he suggest that I be very careful about what I say here. Whence said something about Bwen, writing to Disqus about it. Maybe after she writes, we should also write to them. There is always strength in numbers!!My husband thinks its just another way for sites like Disqus to promote themselves. Eg.....tweeting/face booking through Disqus. Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Yes, Rob said he had a picture of Linda Blair on his bedroom wall when he was a kid !!! I hated the film - saw it in the cinema when it came out - put me off horror films for life, which is why I avoided watching Twilight until 2011, as I just thought it was a vampire horror film ! (I'm an idiot, I know). I hope Rob reads these reviews and I hope BD2 will live up to Mark's expectations.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Totally agree about The Exorcist, i was scared to be alone for a week after watching that!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Myself, I have never been interested in tweeting, too old lol and I cant be bothered with facebook, I am a very private person and it seems to me that facebook makes it easy to share too much.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I've read it all meanwhile, but I like the studmuffinsmurf for you, it's a very funny one and not directly related to Rob, only the insiders would know :))

    ReplyDelete
  124. Big hug, Hannah, I'll try it :))

Congratulations by the way......Cosmopolis loves you!! lol DVD 2 days early and now a free copy :-)
I don't know to be honest....I freaked a bit a first but in reality I'm not sure that there is a reason to worry...the links all have to be in place and that isn't really likely. You happy to keep your own name? unless it isn't of course - I've been caught out in that more than once LOL

    ReplyDelete
  128. Ive been out today so catching up LOL........thank you and yes had to wait ages to watch Cosmopolis but it seems to be paying back this weekend :)..........Lyn is my name so your ok lol but not worried about it, I do have a twitter account which is linked but haven't felt the need to share anything, my fb page isn't linked though even if someone shared a comment of mine it wouldn't matter they wouldn't know who I was how many Lyn's in the uk lol

    ReplyDelete
  129. My daughter has just, a few minutes ago, decided that I need twitter lol and set it up! Apparently nothing is linked to anything else so all ok I'm told LOL

    ReplyDelete

  140. Definitely not !!..... gonna get some sleep now could be a late one tomorrow....hopefully there will be a livestream :0)

    ReplyDelete
  141. That's one thing twitter is good for ;)

    ReplyDelete
  142. I totally agree with you. I also don't have any of those account. However, my kids have Facebook and twitter acct, and they love been connected with friends, relatives, and others. I guess its sort of what we do here, right? But, We are probably sharing less info.
When we sign up for online sites such as these, there are always find prints, that allows companies like this to be able to do these sort of things, if need be. Our only hope, i am thinking is to appeal to Disqus' good nature, because there is probably nothing we can do about it.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Me too. It sucked big time for me.

    ReplyDelete
  144. This is why I keep saying that I would love him to do something big as well...so that everyone gets the chance to Royal Rob on the big screen.

    ReplyDelete
  145. It didn't scare me - I just thought it was sick !! The only film that has ever scared me is the Sixth Sense which was really creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Me too Leah. I hate that we didn't get to. I wanted so much to walk up in the theater and see that big beautiful poster on the wall alongside the others. It really deserved to be there. That movie deserved a much wider release and better marketing (it would have been awesome to see the trailer on tv ). I kept hoping for it to show up at a theater near us. Very sad it didn't happen for us. :-(

    ReplyDelete
  147. You are right, they never reply I think, but at least it is a try to let them know....?

    ReplyDelete
  148. Oh yeah i am going to tell what i think about this, I have already told them i do not like the new layout.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Yes like you say let them know, don't have much hope though, think we will have to adjust and change our details if we want to.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Hey whence sorry I let you down on this thread but I had my reasons. If I can be of any help feel free to just email me. But I believe we chatted on another thread about some of these issues.

    ReplyDelete
  151. You're a genius Jaycee! I couldn't pick messages up on my main computer only the iPad, so I followed your instructions and they worked! Thank you! *HappyBunny*

    ReplyDelete
  152. Don´t worry, I think we all know by now how things work....So it is up to our individual decisions how much we want to show about ourelves or not with the exception of the uncontrollabel sharing button....
And thanks for your offer! Hopw you have a good day!

    ReplyDelete
  153. I'm sorry for such a late reply, but that how my life looks during the week. I've just come back from work. I would love to talk about it with you, Whence and every lady who wants to join to our discussion

    ReplyDelete
  157. I was not scared by The Sixth Sense, at the end I just thought ahh thats why lol

    ReplyDelete
  158. Only 2 movies ever scared me. the Exorcist (I was eleven) and Signs (yeah, you heard me). I didn't sleep for weeks after seeing the Exorcist and after I watched Signs, every little clickety sound made my hair stand on end. Not to mention I made damn sure all the windows were locked at bedtime! lol

    ReplyDelete
  159. I'm tempted lol Any shortening of the name would just be embarrassing though don't you think.....'stud' or 'smurf' LOL You would all still call me Maria anyway :-)

    ReplyDelete
  160. Thank you very much, lyn, I'll try it but I have the sad experience that links like that never work for me :)

I didn't even know it was on tv. wonder what channel ... hmmm..

    ReplyDelete
  166. Oh yeah - forgot about Signs, that was quite scary (and quite funny in places). Actually, I've just remembered Salem's Lot on TV, the one with David Soul in it. That freaked the life out of me.

    ReplyDelete
  167. anything by M. Night Shymalan is gonna be great!

    ReplyDelete
  171. Ok, Bing translater english/dutch: stud, translated: stud.
It has to be something stupid or so for giving Nuzz, bwen and jen a field day :))

    ReplyDelete
  172. LOL

Never read Jackie Collins' The Stud?
Look it up in the Urban Dictionary lol this is what I found:

    Stud Muffin
A guy or girl who is beautiful and sexy to the opposite sex. A stud muffin is usually extremely cute and cuddly, and is a lover not a fighter.

    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  173. It might be on Reels channel. But I'm gonna be ready with the livestream just in case. Way ahead of you ... got a big pot of chili and homemade pimiento cheese ready and waiting for him! ;D

    ReplyDelete
  174. I TOLD you so......Stud Muffin it is....;-)

    ReplyDelete
  175. Good planning - but only what I would expect from you - mile-a-minute Jen LOL
    Homemade cheese????

    ReplyDelete
  176. LMAO Lotte you have no idea what I look like :-) I wouldn't consider myself sexy in any way ;p
I'm not sure Rob would like being referred to as cuddly LOL

    ReplyDelete
  177. lmao...not homemade CHEESE. homemade pimiento cheese. do you not know what this is? google pimiento cheese and select allrecipes/southern pimiento cheese recipe. it is really good with chili or with crackers. mile a minute eh? hey, I gotta be ready to watch Rob live right?

    ReplyDelete
  178. Brilliant, funny interview. With all this BD euphoria I had to read some good fan fic to fill in the black holes SM left in the book, and to get a bit of EPOV!
I found The Honeymoon Suite by TwiliteAddict, a musical analogy E uses to control his lust for B, and Blood & Lust by AwesomeSauce78. They fill in the gaps really nicely & round out the image before the big day whe we see the screen version. Excited, Nah ....

    ReplyDelete
  179. Well. in my head he is cuddly....:-D

    ReplyDelete
  180. Agreed - apart from The Last Airbender, which I didn't like, sorry !
