hmmm... an hour to go. I wonder if I can get these little ones to sleep by then? and if they will sleep thru the premiere so I can watch it. surely surely the same people won't be there from LA! hosting I mean. If that's the case, I might just mute it so I don't have to endure the ear-bleeding monotony that was LA~!
I sure hope so...I already have a headache! Bad timing too...this is my last work day this week ... the last thing I need before the marathon is a splitting headache! ):
30 minutes. if they still don't sleep can i help? lol zod help me if they flew in from LA just to annoy us but i hope for some nice Brits with their specail kind of humor. Rob is home and they should welcome him ! otherwise i do it in Germany and keep him here! ;-)
Just found out (thanks to FB) that my cousin and his wife are there! I met them this summer when they visited the U.S. I wish I knew she was a Twilight fan too!
Wow, London does a much better premiere than LA. The trio was presented together from behind the twilight sign and when each talked with the host, it was good questions and they were treated so much better. Rob very conservative in a beautiful suit and if you think Kristen's dress was slinky in LA what do you think about the cat suit for today's premiere. It seems hard, for some reason, for Rob to thank the fans like he used to. Maybe asked the same questions over and over gets quite tiring.
As for Rob, my favorite color on him is blue so I liked this one better than the green suit in LA. I loved Kristen's "cat suit." It wasn't obscenely low or anything. She has the figure to carry it off.
That was awesome! I'm in the US but I must say I enjoyed this coverage of the premiere much more than the LA one. Seemed like it was more geared for the fans than the media! & That's the way it SHOULD be! Thanks Robsessed for the links and all the live updates on Twitter...watched and followed you on twitter the whole time :)
I actually saw this - the stream worked and I have to say the London audience and Press were really respectful no offense but the paps and fans in US got to learn a lot fom these guys!!!!!!
Awesome - wish I'd gone! Rob, Kristen and Taylor looked wonderful, if a little world weary - probably jet lagged. Got to confess I shed a few tears when I remembered this was the very last time ....
Now this is how you do a film premiere. Hollywood take note. Not surprised as the Brits have always kicked the Yank's ass when it comes to pagentry as it's part of their history. Loved Rob's last quip...be thankful you're near the Burger King.
The Hollywood premiere just seemed disjointed, chaotic to me and the coverage was lousy. The cameras were on those reporters more than they were these kids interacting with their fans. That's why you tune into these things, to see them, not wanna be reporters looking for their own face time on camera. Whereas London was so elegant and with one host, organized. The look of it, the way they presented the kids to the crowd, it just looked professional. Well like I said, the English just know a little something about presentation.
I've always been an anglophile, more connected to my english/irish/scottish roots than the land of my birth. Don't get me wrong, I love America but my sensibilities have always been more European. I finally visited your beautiful country last year knew that this is where I want to live one day.
It may have something to do with the disconnect he's said he goes thru when doing these things. That he leaves his body and game face Rob takes over. I would imagine this would mess with the thought process too (especially one as complicated as his appears to be) and if so, you just might blurt out the first thing that comes to mind. We all know he does this even in quiet, calm, sit down interviews too. I really do believe him when he says there is a disconnect going on here. Some embrace the spotlight, but others can't, won't or don't know how. So they put on a mask of sorts. It's not that they're not appreciative of what they've given or that they're being phoney. It's that they don't know how to be themselves or don't wish to expose themselves in such an overwhelming situation, so they adopt a persona of sorts. I dunno. Just me thinking out loud.
oh wow that's cool and it is a shame that you did'nt know that your cousins wife was a twi fan! well now you two can compare notes or she can come on here if she wants :D
that is so true! Hollywood should take note I remember along time ago I saw a documentary on the bio channel and it had the history of Hollywood and the way they did premires back then were epic and amazing they dressed too the 'T" and they dressed like they were going too the Oscars and it was so glamourous then they had the biggest stars back then like Clark Gable and Carol Lombard Humphery Bogart and Lauren Bacall and many more oh those were the days it seems
I could not have said it better myself I have learned alot from you of the history of Hollywood and the ins and outs of the show biz world and so much history behind it I would love too vist Hollywood and see some of the history and vist some of the historical land marks it would be so fasinating that is one thing I want too do one day :)
The first vid I ever saw of Rob was on the Ellen show in 2008 where he told he left his brains at the door and acted like a puppie. I think you're right, it still happens and at times i have the impression that it is really hard for Rob to concentrate to find appropriate answers. Also at Comic Con you could often see how he lost concentration so easily that he didn't know how to answer and then just sayd what popped out in his head, most of time things people couldn't get. Focusing when there's a lot of noise and distraction doesn't seem to be an easy thing for him.
So funny; anywhere Rob is, Robsessed is there too! I loved how the camera lingered on the shot, well done whoever was waving it, it looked quite substantial.
Good Morning All! I think I'll pop in and watch!
ReplyDeleteGetting excited again LOL :))

ReplyDeleteAs for Rob, my favorite color on him is blue so I liked this one better than the green suit in LA. I loved Kristen's "cat suit." It wasn't obscenely low or anything. She has the figure to carry it off.
ReplyDeleteI saw the banner and it was the best lookin' one in the whole place. But I didn't see the person holding it up.
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome! I'm in the US but I must say I enjoyed this coverage of the premiere much more than the LA one. ReplyDeleteAgree - the remark about Burger King was a little odd!
ReplyDeleteWell I think we did a good job with the Uk premier, very proud and Rob and Kristen looked beautiful, well done Alex Zane :)!!!!
ReplyDeleteNow this is how you do a film premiere. Hollywood take note. Not surprised as the Brits have always kicked the Yank's ass when it comes to pagentry as it's part of their history. Loved Rob's last quip...be thankful you're near the Burger King.
ReplyDeleteThey did an incredible job Lyn. London just put Hollywood to shame.
ReplyDeleteIt was just so simple could see the important people and just one presenter !! I was born in London but no longer live there but it is a great City :)
ReplyDeleteme too, but sadly I have to work :( It's really hard knowing tht they were only about an hour away from me :(

ReplyDeleteI agree apart from the awful presenters in LA there were far to many people just stood around on the carpet getting in the way !!
ReplyDeleteThat's kind of what I'm thinking, Nik....
ReplyDeleteLOL!
