I just wanted to say something in response to some of the posters that have mentioned that they think that Rob has been more guarded this time around. I even saw the word disingenuous used. While I agree that he (they) are appearing guarded (Kristen even more than usual - hardly surprising!) in these interviews, I would still never describe Rob as disingenuous. I've always thought that people who are disingenuous are shady characters; people who are deliberately evasive in order to manipulate and enjoy pulling the wool over people's eyes. I just think Rob is fiercely protective of his private life and that makes him even more genuine and real to me - far more so than those celebs who jump at the chance to sell and use every single aspect of their lives to further their career. Rob furthers his career by providing quality work and juggling the media maelstrom with charm and a polite manner. Rob, disingenuous...the two words seem incongruous to me.

It was funny when they showed Taylor at 12, nd Robert said he's had a six pack since he was 5! I do think some men are genetically build that way, and it helps when they try to sculpt themselves.
Liam Niesen wore the pink underwear a couple weeks ago when he went in Ellen's dunk tank. It was funny...he's so manly, and then he was wearing pink jockey shorts!

Love this Ellen show with Rob & Taylor. Thanks for posting. I am missing most of the promo interviews because, I am in LA, at the BD2 premier. It's crazy here. 2500 campers for tent city, maybe not quite that many, but it sure sounds like it. I thought I was going to miss it. Five days ago, I was in ER having my heart re-started. Once they got the rythm back to normal, Dr. said I could make the trip, so here I am. Sounds like I take my "BUCKET LIST" pretty serious. Hoping for one last chance to see Rob and Kristen and cast of Twilight. Its been a great ride and has brought much joy into this "senior" lady's heart as does this wonderful "robsessed" site. Thanks for all you do. Hugs!!!

Thank you Silvie1, I feel very blessed. I also met up with several of my twi-sisters, some I had never met. We all met on line. It's very cold here tonight in LA. Supposed to hit 39. The over 2000 campers are going to notice, believe me. Right now they are showing "New Moon" in the LA LIVE plaza. The campers are sitting in their camp chairs, bundled up in blankets watching the movie. Last night they showed "Twilight", my personal favorite. Ah the joy of "first love" Yes, I think we are all hooked on watching this talented young man, Robert, persue a very exciting career in movies. Thanks for the good wishes. Slightly off topic, there's an interview from the junket of the BD2 cast shown in a local talkshow here (StarTalk) just a few minutes ago. At first I was agitated because the hosts make it seem that the reporter asked 'that' very personal question and yeah, good thing it was not the case, they just sensationalized it,as usual. Pfft. But it's quite a nice interview overall, despite the bluff and editing (I'm picky, yes, I know lol). 'Coz it ended with Rob giving a message to Filipino fans. All is well. lol I was not able to video it, hopefully a youtube video will pop up soon. Just a heads-up to the mods for no video left behind. ;)
Now I'm off to rewatching the Ellen and Jimmy Fallon interviews for the nth time. *flies away*
disingenuous? Never Rob - I see that word meaning just what you say. Rob is always guarded when he sees the questions leading toward his private life, otherwise he is as we know him, funny and without the filter! If he is more guarded this time round - why shouldn't he be, there is massive interest in what is going on with him and K after what happened and some interviewers this time have taken that further step and been asking about him and K, so maybe he is anticipating these questions more than usual and therefore more guarded generally. We don't have Sky so won't be able to see it aired in UK - thankyou Tink and all for keeping us up to date!!!

Not that I have anything to complain about, given the predicament of so many others but I would have saved this on my dvr to look back at repeatedly.
Very enjoyable, I think I prefer Rob on his own with Ellen though. Love the zipper part, (I wonder who had the tedious task of trawling through pictures of Rob's crotch to find the right ones...what a boring job..!!)
Bear is Rob's dog first. But since Rob and Kristen live together and have lived together for some time (except for a couple of months this year), Bear is their dog, so is Bernie.
Great interview but I wish it had been just Rob with Ellen - she draws so much from him and is always good fun (not that this wasn't lol). Poor Taylor couldn't put that crop top down quick enough! :-)
I thought that too last night, but just from a cursory look through the mini-clips there's still so much going on here in the sub-text. It's still fascinating to watch. Also, who else but Rob can mash together so many disparate things: Avengers, aliens, 'nipple tweeking', Chippendales and zips. Taylor did well too, with less material and feeds.
You're right. I've been a movie fan for many years and have never been so taken with a young man. He is really something special, raised well, respectful, charming and funny. He's one of a kind! I agree, you always get so much more from Rob than an answer to a question but when alone with Ellen she lets him run with it, the story tends to ramble, become convoluted and THAT's when Rob is at his best to watch and listen to :-) I quite like Rob with Taylor but prefer him alone LOL

I've always seen Rob in a rom-com but thought I was alone in that one, welcome to my world :-) Hearing Jimmy Fallon ask him if he would do a comedy and Rob said yes was brilliant to hear - made my day!!!!. He is such a funny man I would love to see that humour in a movie. rom-com may be a step too far for him atm but we can hope :-)

There is a girl Courtney Justice who writes about what stars wear, her site is The Fashion Court and she also tweets about it . And she particularly likes Rob and Kristen. But she didn't like what he wore on Fallon, one of the few times she doesn't like what he wears . I liked it, I liked the colour combo.

That moment with the almost crotch grab...just too funny. Loved Rob and Taylor too on Ellen....Rob being his typical adorkable adorable funny self...good show. Jimmy Fallon was a hoot too with the water fight. I don't know how many times Rob mentioned that he needed to "pee"....then he deliberately pours water on his crotch....yeah, I'm sure that helped with your "needing to pee" problem there Rob...LOL Have to admit..since I had recorded JF on my DVR...I played back the part when Rob was getting into the tub thingy they had set up for the water fight....those long legs...wow....his slacks were very snug in the thigh area....I do love his thighs...dunno why but I do...and I love those long legs..so yeah, watched him getting in two or three times just to see one leg go in then the other....does that make me weird...sometimes I wonder about myself....LOL...when it comes to this man....he's got me hook, line and sinker.

I watched to interview I taped. Had a few laughs, Rob, Taylor and Ellen make for a great interview. Loved Taylor's shirt. I am so far behind on here. This week has been crazy week to a hockey game and won $500 worth of tix to scratch, went to dinner with people I worked with 25 years ago, had 5 dr appts. and tried to keep up and watch all the interviews I taped. Next week, 1 dr appt. marathon, hockey game and a birthday party. Then it is Thanksgiving. this year is going so very, very fast.

That would drive me insane! Sometimes when we are watching American programmes (which for me is probably the majority of the time) you can tell at certain points where a break may have been added but we don't have to suffer the break. We have adverts obviously but only like every 15 mintues or so maybe a little less.

I was talking to a friend of mine a few weeks ago about visiting places we always heard about and intended to visit and never got round to....next summer maybe. The topic was Robs smell ( preferently a nice one) , and we were all over the place with suggestions f.ex pocket atomizers, integrated selection of smells on our laptops, installing scratch and smell function on photos of Rob and haptic installments on the computer ( this was Whence´idea), which is f.ex on the screen you have a photo of Rob,when you touch random parts of Robs body ...ex lips you get to feel them.....;-))))))) We are in discussions about patents so we need a patent lawyer and a scientist and a hardware computer engineer, do you by any chance know one ??? We also tried out names for the various things and functions, but I will let you imagine how that went .....:-D:-D:-D

Oh my god guys, I just got the most amazing news from my friend. She was able to get tickets to go see the movie on Wednesday at the Grove for an early screening!!!! I cannot wait!!! I screamed when she told me! My nieces got scared thinking we were getting robbed or something. Plus I already got my ticket to see it on Friday night! I'm sooo excited!!!!!
I agree with your sentiments. I enjoy watching his interviews. He is charming and funny like you said. It annoys me when the interviewer attempts to be slick and asks the relationship question. Why can't they just leave it alone.

You are so VERY right !!!!!! Why don't they just have the decency to leave the question alone??!!!??? I did watch Billy Bush and his female partner at noon one day discuss this very topic and she said since Kristen's open apology and since they both are IN THE BUSINESS, they should expect this type of questioning. I , however, do not agree with them. They went on to praise Rob's ability to deflect the question with charm, humor, and laughter but that Kristen seemed to get angry. I couldn't help think to myself , What gives any of you guys the right to keep hounding them ~but, it made me think of their perspective.

Fine thanks. I could understand her being furious that it had been leaked but I always thought it was a bit of a slap in the face to her real fans that would love to read it.....after all it wasn't a fan that leaked it. Also a bit off to Rob who may never get to play the part if she leaves it much longer. In all honesty though I don't care how old he/they are I would still like to see them play the parts. Just don't mention ages. I know she's a bit of a freak with vampiric details but.....we get it.....we can get past it, just don't hightlight that part. I have never considered an audio book....would love it. Bearing in mind what he said on Fallon he probably wouldn't do it.

Right now they are showing "New Moon" in the LA LIVE plaza. The campers are sitting in their camp chairs, bundled up in blankets watching the movie. Last night they showed "Twilight", my personal favorite. Ah the joy of "first love"
Yes, I think we are all hooked on watching this talented young man, Robert, persue a very exciting career in movies.

ReplyDeleteSlightly off topic, there's an interview from the junket of the BD2 cast shown in a local talkshow here (StarTalk) just a few minutes ago. At first I was agitated because the hosts make it seem that the reporter asked 'that' very personal question and yeah, good thing it was not the case, they just sensationalized it,as usual. Pfft. But it's quite a nice interview overall, despite the bluff and editing (I'm picky, yes, I know lol). 'Coz it ended with Rob giving a message to Filipino fans. All is well. lol
I was not able to video it, hopefully a youtube video will pop up soon. Just a heads-up to the mods for no video left behind. ;)
Now I'm off to rewatching the Ellen and Jimmy Fallon interviews for the nth time. *flies away*
disingenuous? Never Rob - I see that word meaning just what you say. Rob is always guarded when he sees the questions leading toward his private life, otherwise he is as we know him, funny and without the filter! If he is more guarded this time round - why shouldn't he be, there is massive interest in what is going on with him and K after what happened and some interviewers this time have taken that further step and been asking about him and K, so maybe he is anticipating these questions more than usual and therefore more guarded generally. We don't have Sky so won't be able to see it aired in UK - thankyou Tink and all for keeping us up to date!!!

ReplyDeleteSo bummed because I set my dvr for the show and the entire thing was pre-empted with news. They have been having so many extra hours of news programs is NYC re the recovery from Sandy. I can't even watch the above clips at the moment. These vids often play terribly for me unless I luck out and find a day/time when no one else in Manhattan is on-line! Not that I have anything to complain about, given the predicament of so many others but I would have saved this on my dvr to look back at repeatedly.

Also, who else but Rob can mash together so many disparate things: Avengers, aliens, 'nipple tweeking', Chippendales and zips. Taylor did well too, with less material and feeds.

He is such a funny man I would love to see that humour in a movie. rom-com may be a step too far for him atm but we can hope :-)

But she didn't like what he wore on Fallon, one of the few times she doesn't like what he wears . I liked it, I liked the colour combo.

Jimmy Fallon was a hoot too with the water fight. I don't know how many times Rob mentioned that he needed to "pee"....then he deliberately pours water on his crotch....yeah, I'm sure that helped with your "needing to pee" problem there Rob...LOL Have to admit..since I had recorded JF on my DVR...I played back the part when Rob was getting into the tub thingy they had set up for the water fight....those long legs...wow....his slacks were very snug in the thigh area....I do love his thighs...dunno why but I do...and I love those long legs..so yeah, watched him getting in two or three times just to see one leg go in then the other....does that make me weird...sometimes I wonder about myself....LOL...when it comes to this man....he's got me hook, line and sinker.

ReplyDeleteI watched to interview I taped. Had a few laughs, Rob, Taylor and Ellen make for a great interview. Loved Taylor's shirt. I am so far behind on here. This week has been crazy week to a hockey game and won $500 worth of tix to scratch, went to dinner with people I worked with 25 years ago, had 5 dr appts. and tried to keep up and watch all the interviews I taped. Next week, 1 dr appt. marathon, hockey game and a birthday party. Then it is Thanksgiving. this year is going so very, very fast.

That would drive me insane! Sometimes when we are watching American programmes (which for me is probably the majority of the time) you can tell at certain points where a break may have been added but we don't have to suffer the break. We have adverts obviously but only like every 15 mintues or so maybe a little less.

ReplyDeleteThe topic was Robs smell ( preferently a nice one) , and we were all over the place with suggestions f.ex pocket atomizers, integrated selection of smells on our laptops, installing scratch and smell function on photos of Rob and haptic installments on the computer ( this was Whence´idea), which is f.ex on the screen you have a photo of Rob,when you touch random parts of Robs body ...ex lips you get to feel them.....;-))))))) We are in discussions about patents so we need a patent lawyer and a scientist and a hardware computer engineer, do you by any chance know one ???
We also tried out names for the various things and functions, but I will let you imagine how that went .....:-D:-D:-D

ReplyDeleteI make a fabulous chocolate cake...covered in chocolate ganache! You should have seen the one I made for my daughter's birthday....all thick and oozy and covered in shiny, glossy ganache and decorated with milk, white and dark chocolate stars!! Can you picture it???

ReplyDeleteOh my god guys, I just got the most amazing news from my friend. She was able to get tickets to go see the movie on Wednesday at the Grove for an early screening!!!! I cannot wait!!! I screamed when she told me! My nieces got scared thinking we were getting robbed or something. Plus I already got my ticket to see it on Friday night! I'm sooo excited!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with your sentiments. I enjoy watching his interviews. He is charming and funny like you said. It annoys me when the interviewer attempts to be slick and asks the relationship question. Why can't they just leave it alone.

ReplyDeleteYou are so VERY right !!!!!! Why don't they just have the decency to leave the question alone??!!!??? I did watch Billy Bush and his female partner at noon one day discuss this very topic and she said since Kristen's open apology and since they both are IN THE BUSINESS, they should expect this type of questioning. I , however, do not agree with them. They went on to praise Rob's ability to deflect the question with charm, humor, and laughter but that Kristen seemed to get angry. I couldn't help think to myself , What gives any of you guys the right to keep hounding them ~but, it made me think of their perspective.

ReplyDeleteI could understand her being furious that it had been leaked but I always thought it was a bit of a slap in the face to her real fans that would love to read it.....after all it wasn't a fan that leaked it. Also a bit off to Rob who may never get to play the part if she leaves it much longer. In all honesty though I don't care how old he/they are I would still like to see them play the parts. Just don't mention ages. I know she's a bit of a freak with vampiric details but.....we get it.....we can get past it, just don't hightlight that part.
I have never considered an audio book....would love it. Bearing in mind what he said on Fallon he probably wouldn't do it.
