Kate, why didn't the livestream work for you? Was it not possible to watch it in other countries? I had no problems. the stupid thing was they dubbed it over.

they showed them the last hour. did you miss them? they are inside now but we see them again when they are on the balcony.

ReplyDeletemmm, don't know. didn't have that feeling. i was annoyed they showed the others signing when Rob gave his interview. but other than that i was pretty satisfied for a German premiere. Though I'm confused now, they could have said good bye or something. I still think they show them in theater but i guess i'm wrong.

ReplyDeleteYeah I guess they are reliefed not having to do promotion anymore but I can imagine they are feeling sentimental too about not retourning to and meeting with each other on another set of twilight.

So strange. While watching their 'final' moment with all of this, in the theatre up on that stage, I couldn't help but think of the first stage they took when all of this began for them...Comic Con 2008. The only event I ever went to and I still don't think I'd trade it. I watched this thing explode and the birth of stardom with my own eyes (from about 20 feet away). Quite a journey. For them. For us. And I'd be a liar if I said I wasn't a feeling a little weepy right now. Hope they get some rest now. And then...right back at it. Onward and upward kiddos.

ReplyDeleteyeah, i think i'm a huge fan of the story. it's the story that made me fall in love with these characters, most of all the first book. that's why i was obsessed with fanfiction. I think Rob is a complete different obsession. he was luckily in Twilight because the movies wouldn't be great without him, but I love him not because of Twilight. I onl got to know him there. when will you watch the last part? i can't before thursday.
ReplyDeleteFor me it all started with Twilight. Though I know it's good it's all done and that the movies brought Rob, apart from fame and fortune and love, also a lot of critics and mocking but it's weird that its over. It'll take a long time before we can see him again in a nice suit. *sigh*

ReplyDeleteI am just about to out to see the movie. I have been watching the German livestream on and off. For the first hour when absolutely nothing was happening I got lost in a bit of a daydream. It began, obviously, with 'oooh wonder what they'll be rocking on the carpet tonight?' through to, 'oh they must be in a really strange place in their heads doing this very last bit of promo'. Then with the German presenters doggedly interviewing all the lovely German fans, I thought, 'Cor, wouldn't it be fab if Rob and Kristen did a John and Yoko Bed Peace Piece? Like maybe they'll take the carpet one last time being surreally and completely nekkid'. I was bored. What can I say?

ReplyDeleteKristen teared up in the Theatre giving her final farewell,there's a beautiful pic of Her and Rob standing real close with their heads down...I know he was comforting her,he's been very close to her throughout this whole promo especially since people were removed from the LA and London prems HBG was on his toes the whole time..Actually,the movie and this whole promo has been EPIC,I've loved it all..

ReplyDeleteMy friend Courtney and her cousin and I all went to see the movie! Wowsers...He did a wonderful job!! At times during the movie, we went crazy over Rob! I can't believe that the whole series is over..after the movie, i said i wanted to read the book again and then watch the movie again!

ReplyDeleteI did not think they were close at the premiers nor that she teared up but Rob shined in his suits and it was an epic feeling the last round of Twilight. good we can move on now :-)

ReplyDeleteI'll always cherish this journey, where my daughter and me (as did millions of others family members) went, traditionally, to the theatre each year, eating a bit in advance in a little restaurant and then enjoyed the movie with a theatre full of Twilight fans. It was quality time at its best and she has already assured me that she will never forget this experience.
