Great. At least this project is sure to be done. I heard mission blacklist no longer has april starting date. Does anybody know anything about this?
ReplyDeleteThis news is quite intoxicating!!
ReplyDeleteGosh, you know that feeling you get inside when something good has happened?! I have it right now, I am so excited, happy, cheerful, joyful......you get the picture!!!!
See you ladies later!!
Yes heard this too Christine, but don't know if that means that it is now not going to happen or its more to do with the location being Iraq...
ReplyDeleteYay Its great hearing something is actually starting.........Its really happening :)
ReplyDeleteChristine, does this have to do with what was said a while ago or is it recent? The last I heard was that it was being filmed in Summer? I hope it will be made I was really looking forward to MB
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant. So Rob should be coming down under very soon. YYAAAAAAYYYYYY.
ReplyDeleteYep, I get the picture.
ReplyDeleteOMG... someone is getting a little excited.!!.. need to book hols and head a little west.me thinks... squeeee
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I read a couple of days ago on another rob fansite that some movie page removed april starting date and now it just says pre-production.
ReplyDeleteGreat! I really am excited for this one. 2013 Rob is underway.
ReplyDeleteI hate disqus, the rotten sod just ate my comment... :(
ReplyDeleteGreat news!! You know, I never had watched a Cronenberg film before I learned Rob was making Cosmopolis...and I prepped for it by watching films like A Dangerous Method - getting a feel for how DC used lighting, setting, and camera angles. It helped fill a little void while waiting not-so-patiently for Eric Packer. And I hadn't heard of David Michod before Rob was attached to The Rover. I can't wait to watch Animal Kingdom to get a sense of the type of film Michod creates. So happy for Rob...and I know he'll be amazing. Love him!
ReplyDeleteYes I think the expected start date has been removed !!
ReplyDeleteI would be interested to hear your opinion after watching Animal Kingdom... I think the Rover will be a very 'interesting' movie..
ReplyDeleteAny hints for me, luvthepretty? How would you describe Animal Kingdom?
ReplyDeleteHow great is this news? OMG! This is really happening! Sooo Exciting!...Thanks Kate for the news..luv u gals ;-)
ReplyDeleteconfronting, a little scary, at times violent...I did not mind the acting but was not really drawn to the movie overall... but I am definitely in the minority with my opinion tho, can't wait to see what you think... 2.5 / 5 for me.
ReplyDeleteYes it is!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder who I know in Adelaide!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to having Rob in Oz. The Rover will be a very good movie. Animal Kingdom was dark and brutal, but brilliant. It had lighter moments and surprises that I didn't see coming. David Michod is clever. We are gonna love it.
What did you say to her??
ReplyDeleteTake care of The Pretty!
ReplyDeleteI don't want a hair on his little head hurt, or else?
Australia, we are about to hand you one of The 8 wonders of the world, so please handle it with care!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, I'm luv, not guest Aussienana... I have no idea what I do wrong... maybe there is no hope for me or disqus...
ReplyDeleteAre you looking forward Rob coming to us?... I am really excited.. have not been to SA for a few years now..perhaps a road trip is due soon :)) ps .... I am SURE disqus is a man....x
When I replied to you just now you were luv! Now disqus has made you guest!! What is going on here??
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm looking forward to Rob coming to Oz. I'm wondering who I know in Adelaide!
Ha ha, I thought disqus was a female with PMT
We will handle it with much tenderness and hugs and kisses and .... We will handle it with care.
ReplyDeletedoes anybody know exactly what preproduction entails? Is it, like, location scouting?
ReplyDeleteLOL.. SA is the only state that I have no friends... shit! Nana... disqus is a bloke who needs to get laid.. lol x
ReplyDeletei was going to ask exactly the same thing :) looking forward to your answers
ReplyDeleteNeither did I really like the movie. I'm a girl and not a guy, LOL. The Rover will be for me like Cosmopols. My first thought was WTF? and then I learned more and more and now it's one of my favourites of Robs movies.
ReplyDeleteLOL...
ReplyDeletewhere are you aussienana.?
ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDeleteI googled it, I found a short and good summary on wikipedia.
ReplyDeleteI had to do it!!! That line was too good to pass up, after it came to me!
ReplyDeleteNo they are going to scorch him:)
ReplyDeleteThanks you, I know you will. Not too much kisses though! *wink*
ReplyDeleteWouldn't be nice if you get to see him?!!
Enjoy, because we are all jealous of you guys!
True... he would make a wonderful 8th wonder!!... Rob is going to be very hot and sweaty . ...already up to 40 degrees here. poor baby...maybe I could be an extra in the movie or the house maid at his hotel or his driver, or his towel down lady on set.... oh dear...... *gone*........................................................
ReplyDeletethanks, I'll have to check it out
ReplyDeleteI need some scorching... bring it on... lol
ReplyDeleteJust laying in bed watching SAG award nominations with fingers and toes crossed thinking its 12-12-12 the stars are aligned PLEASE let Cosmopolis/Rob/David be nominated...oh well I knew it was a long shot and good things come to those who wait and are patient. All and all this morning is starting out great because next year is Rob's year of making great movies and the Mayan calendar predicted apocalypse has not struck....just kidding! I know, I know it's officially 12/21 but pretty confident that we'll still be here to see him get his Oscar, i'm gonna be 44 in Jan so hopefully I don't have to be patient too long. :)
ReplyDelete:( gosh I hope it will still go ahead.
ReplyDeleteI happily take up the role of body guard. I really do hope I get to see him. I missed out when Rob came to Sydney so this time I'm hoping big time.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I love to describe him. Glad to know I'm not the only one. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSame here. Generally, I hate the heat but I'm willing to get over it.
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! soooo good) can`t wait for Rob to start working again) pretty sure, he`s just as excited)
ReplyDeleteBig head, RF...Him has a big head..lol
ReplyDeleteGood news on Robert going back in the thick of filming a movie... I hope his character look like he looks in that pic I really love that pic of him. He look so different... kind a like dangerous and yet.. something I can't put into words.
ReplyDeleteWe all hope that him, David and the film would get some kind of acknowledgement... but also, it's the same old, same old all the time.
ReplyDeleteDangerous and...fragile? or troubled?
ReplyDeleteMaybe..hurt? Destroyed? Painfully beautifully SEXY?
ReplyDeleteThat would make sense to me. The whole situation in the mideast right now isn't very stable and I would hope that they are seriously reconsidering trying to film a movie in the midst of all that, plus I'm sure that the insurance company would not want them to take that risk. I know that it's great to be able to film in actual locations, but when it's dangerous, I think that you need to come back to reality. There are other places that look similar and could pass for the locale with outrisking life and limb.
ReplyDeleteYa'll gonna stalk him aint that right? I knew it!..Wish I could join ya'll, ;-(
ReplyDeletelol...Luv, I love your new avi and the little musical symbol beside your name..luvly ;-)
ReplyDeleteit says they secure finances, scout locations, confirm cast members, hire all the workers for the movie, the people involved give a final okay to the script, and they storyboard it. then they break the script down into individual scenes and plan what they will need for each ( props, cast, costumes, special effects, etc )
ReplyDeleteJust realized what I said, when I said I hope it still goies ahead I didn't mean for it to go ahead at all costs, I still want it to go ahead but not in those dangerous conditions, the movie can be made elsewhere.
