NEW YORK (AP) - Robert Pattinson was nearing the end of shooting the last “Twilight” film, concluding a chapter of his life that had picked him out of near obscurity and was preparing to spit him out … where exactly? “Twilight” had made him extravagantly famous, but his next steps were entirely uncertain.
“Out of the blue,” he says, came the script for “Cosmopolis” from David Cronenberg, the revered Canadian director of psychological thrillers (“Videodrome,” “Eastern Promises”) that often pursue the spirit through the body. Pattinson, having never met or spoken to Cronenberg, did a little research: He looked him up on Rotten Tomatoes “and it was like 98 percent approval,” he says.
“It was like: OK, that’s my next job,” says Pattinson.

First up Kiowa Gordon Talks To OK Mag About Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart & Mackenzie Foy On The Twilight Set
With only four months left until the final installment of The Twilight Saga hits theaters, OK! got the chance to catch up with Kiowa Gordon — who plays Embry Call in the beloved franchise — about what we can expect from Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in Breaking Dawn - Part 2.
Kiowa attended the Summer with the Stars event at Aventura Cove Palace in Riviera Maya, Mexico and filled us in on what Kristen and Rob were like interacting with their on-screen Renesmee, Mackenzie Foy.
"They were cute! It was like a cute little family," Kiowa told OK! on the red carpet of the All-Star concert at the soon-to-be Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. "You know when you have your first-born? Well Renesmee immediately grows up to be five! That usual happens, right?" he joked.
"It was cool. I don’t really know, because I don’t have a little child, but it was cute to watch Rob and Kristen with her," Kiowa said of the on and off-screen lovebirds. "We were all like ‘Ah, there’s a kid on set!’ You got to act like a parent."

This interview may sound familiar. It's very similar to some of the translated interviews we've had up over the last while but there are a few new parts in it.
CANNES – Having ended his vampire duties, Robert Pattinson is working hard to establish himself as a leading man where his acting skills eclipse his heartthrob status. His new film, COSMOPOLIS, directed by David Cronenberg, is a bold step forward in that direction. Pattinson’s striking features are a perfect match for the film’s eerie plotting that owes just as much to Cronenberg’s macabre vision as it does to the original source material, Don DeLillo’s eponymous novel. Making its world premiere as part of the Cannes Film Festival’s official competition, COSMOPOLIS sees Pattinson play Eric Packer, a Wall Street billionaire whose life undergoes a strange sequence of events against the backdrop of his rapidly collapsing Manhattan universe. Is this how the 26-year-old Pattinson hopes to conquer new audiences?
“I didn’t expect to be able to find a project as brilliant as this even though I could spend my life working with directors like Cronenberg,” explains Pattinson. “I have led a charmed life so far as an actor but I’m trying to find as many different and complex roles as possible and being able to work on this film is another gift that I’ve been given. It’s up to me to show what I’m capable of now!” (Kate: And that's exactly what he is doing!)
