  1. Dani---thank you for the lightening fast speed! Hey, I just noticed that the lady in background must be part of his management/publicist team...she was in the pics as they left LA.

  2. he's back?! Should I be happy that he's back or feel bad that he won't be with family?
Maybe he'll go back next week?? Or his family will come down here??

  3. Yes I imagine she is. Ahhhh so will he fly again back to the UK for Christmas, he said he was going home for the holidays am I right?

Perhaps he is working on PPB a little sooner than January and he needs to do preproduction stuff. I dunno.

  4. Thanks for pointing that out Lynn. I remember her from the last pics (I was lusting after her Luggage)

I want to be Rob's PA..

  5. I seriously think he is back for work and meetings regarding New Moon. I doubt he will be there for long. He's said many times he will be back in London with his family for that, so yeah I'm sticking with he's just there for a short time...

  6. Hi, Lynn! I recignized that lady, too. doesn't Rob ever get any downtime??? He barely had enough time to have a chip butty with mum and dad!

  7. Lynn, I was thinking the same thing about maroon bagage lady!

  8. Does anybody recognize what book he is reading from the cover?

  9. Tess---you and me both! I could push a luggage cart and have a really determinded look on my face!

  10. Anon, I was thinking the same thing...

  11. Oh my god, the poor guy practically LIVES on an airplane! I hope it's a quick trip so he can head back to the UK to be with his fam.

  12. Yes, it's book that he left with!

I think that Amy is right, Rob will probably be gone and back in London right away.

  13. Have you ever known anyone to have so much energy?

Just think about his schedule, and consider the jetlag. He must be one very healthy person.

and it's nice to know that he's human and hasn't flown through that book already..

  14. Let's hope that he doesn't wind up like Tyler Durden!

  15. For a person who hates to fly, Rob has to endure a lot of it.

  16. Tess---I see Rob as someone that can probably sleep anywhere and has the body of a racehorse. He's fortunate that he doesn't wear all his exhaustion on his face.

  17. Lynn- who's Tyler Durden??

And so true Tess. He's been everywhere. Every morning he's in a new country! How does he still look this gorgeous and fresh?? Poor guy is in need of a break and some downtime. I really hope he gets a holiday with his family

  18. Lynn- You just made the image of Brad Pitt in a pink bathrobe pop into my head.

He was the shit until Rob came along and stole my adoration.

  19. Tyler Durden was the character from Fight Club....he was always punch drunk tired from flying and could barely decipher what city he was in!

  20. Lynn - Yeah, let's hope he doesn't end up like Tyler Durden... he's already alluded to it when talking about not remembering all of the people he's proposed to :)

And Tess - You are right. He must be as healthy as a horse if he is able to put up with this hectic schedule without getting totally run down.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Lynn- I guess that must be true. I was noting how the interviewer in the vid Kate sent us, she commented that Rob was a bit rough from the night before, and to look at him, you wouldn't have noticed.

He's just extremely professional for a person his age.

  22. Oh Dana, thanks for putting that image of Brad Pitt in the pink bath robe and rubber gloves in my head. He was hot hot hot in that movie.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lynn-- I have missed so much today, but my insomnia kicked in and I fell asleep at 8 AM. :(

And, if Rob wants to make soap Tyler Durden way.. I can help him, lol. There is plenty of fat to give.

  33. hey guys this has nothing to do with the pics but i read on perez that they offered the directing job to some guy chris weiz

    ReplyDelete
  34. That's a rather round about way to fly home to the UK from Paris :))
Poor guy just when we think he will rest. Your right he's probably here for PPB since it will shoot in January. Or maybe to meet with a new director for New Moon??

  35. The 'Golden Compass' Director? Ewww..

    ReplyDelete
  36. IMDb says that guy directed "The Golden Compass". I never seen it so I have to ask.. is it well directed?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Okay, I couldn't stay away...so Chris Weitz is comfirmed? He is supposedly the protege of Peter Jackson, he might be a good fit...I still wish for a woman's touch.

    ReplyDelete
  38. i didnt like the golden compass so i'm a bit worried

    ReplyDelete
  39. I didn't see Golden compass, but my daughter did. She said the movie was pretty faithful to the book, so maybe chris Weiz will do the same for NM.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well, I saw the Golden Compass and disliked like it because it was entirely boring...but the direction didn't seem too bad.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Well, I didn't like The Golden Compass but I think it was due the script and the actors (Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig in their very worst acting job) But hmm, yep, I think this director guy made it well.. the movie won an Oscar, I think..

    ReplyDelete
  42. i cant say whether it was faithful to the book because i never read it...i hope so:S

  43. CW did write and direct "About A Boy", which I adored...so he gets some kudos for making a chick flick!

    ReplyDelete
  44. *edit...he gets kudos for making a great chick flick.

  45. This is from ReelzChannel:

Summit Entertainment isn't wasting any time in their search for a director for New Moon and Eclipse, the much-anticipated follow-ups to their uber-hit vampire flick Twilight. Deadline Hollywood Daily's resident troublemaker Nikki Finke is reporting that they've offered the job to Chris Weitz, director of one of last year's biggest flops, The Golden Compass. Why? Summit reportedly liked the job Weitz did with visual effects on the film, which snagged a 2007 Academy Award for Best Achievement in Visual Effects. New Moon and Eclipse should both demand higher levels of visual effects than the Catherine Hardwicke-directed predecessor, and Weitz's skills will be especially handy should either film's plot be re-written to involve giant polar bear fights.

    Polar bear fights!?!?!?! WHAAAAAT?

    ReplyDelete
  46. I find the Academy Award nomination to be comforting.

    ReplyDelete
  47. the visual effects were good i must say but im still worried

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hey ladies!
I hated the golden compass 'cause it was boring BUT the special effects were great, very believable. This gives me hope since Catherine did an awful job with the special effects.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Stella---Oscar nods always get the studios wetting their trousers...so you're right!

Goz---OMG! I got The Golden Compass on PPV for the kiddos with the intention of recording on the DVR. I found out it was a limited view, couldn't record it and it was so BORING! Worst $4.99 of my life!

On the flip side, the special effects were killer!

    ReplyDelete
  50. About a Boy was fab. I really loved it. But it was quite different than the book - he altered the ending for the movie. If Weiz takes the job, he'll not be afraid to keep the heart of the story and change what needs to be changed. Yeah!! (I think..)

    ReplyDelete
  51. If Chris Weitz knows his special effects, at least the werewolves will get their due.

    ReplyDelete
  52. And maybe he can figure out a way for Rob to keep his happy trail and sparkle in the sun!

    ReplyDelete
  53. And maybe Bay-bay won't look just like that: a bay-bay... :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. he is probably back so fast because since they are not hiring hardwicke to do the new moon and summit might be having pattinson & stewart meet with any new possible directors. i am sure they don't have approval but i would bet that the studio will want to make sure both of them get along okay or want to work with the new director. it would be the smart thing to do.

him being back in la does mean that he won't get a break from the paparazzi any time soon. he is so popular right now, they won't feel the need to back off from him which sucks for him. hopefully he will get to go home for the holidays and get away from the press.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Oh and I absolutely LOVE About a boy, it is one of Hugh Grant's best movies.

    I'm hopeful :-)

    ReplyDelete
  56. I LOVED About a Boy! I own that actually. It's such a great film :)

I think I would be really really happy with Chris Weitz directing.

I didn't like the storyline in Golden Compass but the special effects were amazing, so if this man gets the job - I'm excited to see what he brings to the table.

  57. well you can tell which pocket his cell phone is in.. hehehehe

    ReplyDelete
  58. Love his sunglasses, they are my favorite he wear so far.
    Good choice, Rob.
