Rob in Cannes May 18-19

Robert Pattinson arrived at Nice airport for the Cannes Film Festival yesterday, and was mobbed by fans and photographers as he walked through the airport. He got to enjoy a much more leisurely time during lunch at a hotel after he'd escaped the airport, keeping his sexy shades on. Last night he spent the night out on the town, looking dashing as always in a black suit and grey t-shirt, with his ever present security escorting him from the party he attended. And finally, this morning he was working hard in the sunshine, attending a photocall for the second movie in the Twilight series — New Moon. A new poster for the film was released yesterday — PopUS wants to know if you love it or leave it. I can't wait to see more of gorgeous Robert around Cannes in the sunshine — swoon!

    I wonder if Brangelina's bodyguards touch them as much as the guys protecting Rob touch and grab at him. He's got the power and the right to be like get your f'n hands off me. I've seen several videos where he's almost tossed around. I'd be flat out pissed if I were him....maybe his management team needs to step up and set down some rules for bodyguards. If the guard(s)were any good they would have a perimeter set up around Rob where these people wouldn't be able to get so close to him. I can understand his fear of being stuck with a needle or knife watching these videos! Poor Rob....I wonder if there are times he is like what the %$^& have I gotten myself into.

    I believe the bodyguard has his hands on Rob for a reason. A professional bodyguard has to assess a situation. We can't see how many people are there or what the threat might be. I'm sure the bodyguard discussed it with Rob beforehand. If Rob wasn't comfortable with the hands on protection he could have said so. I've seen other stars bodyguards doing the same.
