As far as the press knew, Rob was leaving yesterday. He probably left with the ladies instead to try and avoid some of the pandamonium that seems to follow him like that cloud of dust surrounding that dirty kid from the Peanuts gang (forgot his name). That must get so old. Poor Rob. He's such a patient, good sport. Maybe Ashley had already proceeded down the gangway onto the plane when those pics were taken.

I read your post about dreading tomorrow night in the other thread, and I completely agree, especially if M/A don't show up together, because the shippers will go crazy drawing conclusions that have no real basis. And even if they do break up, or have, it doesn't mean that it's because of Rob, which is something that people have a hard time understanding.
I honestly would not be surprised if they did break up, because of the time apart and the media/fan speculation. That has got to wear on Michael, even if he does trust her. That's a lot of pressure, especially for young kids, you know?
Even if they have broken up due to nonstop media speculation and hounding, it's still indirectly because of Rob. I have a feeling they haven't split though. They seem to have weathered it this far, why pack it in now? Actors that are together spend time apart all the time. They know that's the way it is going into the relationship. Who knows. I'll bet MA will be there.
That being said, I think R/K would be a cute couple. They seem to have a lot in common. However, that's also what makes them such close friends. If they were to get into a relationship and then split, the on-screen chemistry in the remaining Twi-films would be compromised, and that would suck!

Seriously, the Summit conspiracy theory is the dumbest yet. I'm sure they're well away how the majority of the fan base wants R/K together, and lets face it, having their two young, hot leads as a couple when they have two movies together would be a studio's dream, especially concerning Rob, because he's a "heartthrob" and Kristin is about the only person the teen fans will tolerate. So ... if they were wanting to be together, I'm sure Summit wouldn't cockblock it.
Stacy - I have a friend who works in PR (who also likes Twilight) and she says it would be a DREAM for any PR people to be able to advertise that their star-crossed-lover leads in a film are really star-crossed-lovers in real life.

As far as awards shows and stuff goes, I don't think people can be told not to bring their significant others. And knowing how Kristen's hard as nails personality seems to be, I can't imagine that she'd stand for being told she couldn't bring her boyfriend. I'd see that as it being taken too far. Yeah Win, I saw that. There were at least 4 internet sites that crashed from people trying to see nekkid Rob. I keep reading stories everywhere of people Crackberrying and iPhoning pics of him to their friends. I did that with my friend Meli, and she and her Twicrack co-worker sat squealing like girls, even though they are both 30-something teachers. Same thing happened yesterday when I sent them the ET NM trailer snippet. It's crazy...absolutely crazy. It's funny that the media don't quite get that it's GROWN WOMEN doing this shiz, not just teens! Hilarious. I think it should be studied by some sociologists.

Just guessing, that's what it seemed...anyway, she had read the script and wasn't too impressed until she read the "twist" ending, which put the whole thing in a different light for her. She had removed the original script from her site, but people who had read it when it was still posted remembered the ending, and someone gave it away in the comments section. Dope here read it, so even though the script underwent extensive rewrites, I'm sure the twist will be the same. You don't want to know what it is. (Does she, Stacy? I'm emailing you now!)

As for the script, my friend who follows this stuff closely has read it, I think, and it was on the black list of scripts last year (like the 10 best scripts) so it's supposed to be really good, and the twist just adds to it. Ok. Thanks ladies. A few days ago I saw that there was a thread on imdb about it, and it just seemed that many of the posters had read the script. I was at work at the time and so I didn't post anything asking where they read it. Thankfully no one gave away the ending, but now I want to know anyway. lol
I assumed from the first time that I started reading about this film that either he or the female lead dies at the end, but I have no idea because I don't really know that much about the film to begin with. People in the beginning were comparing it to Love Story. I guess that's why I drew that conclusion. However, Rob said in an interview that it wasn't like Love Story.
It probably wouldn't ruin the experience for me. lol I'm one of those silly people that sometimes reads the last few pages of a book early cuz curiosity gets the best of me. lol

But I have one girlfriend who I share all the fun stuff with. I think Rob has also made friendships stronger, new frienships and couples sex lives better. lol.

WinWin...My best friend and I are both crazy about Rob and talk about him quite a bit, but I'm a bit more into him than she is as far as scouring the internet for stuff about him. She gets a lot of the info from me. But for the most part I live my life as a closet Robsessor because I don't know many others my age who feel the love... I'm a teacher though, and some of my 5th graders have the warm tinglies for Robward. (I don't tell them that I do too, just that I'm a Twilight fan.) Really? I think that part of the book is so important, even tho it's hard, cause it's so important to the growth of Bella's character, and to proving to both her and Edward that she can't live without him.
I must admit Mech, the first time I read the book I found myself continually skimming the pages looking for Edward's name to pop up. I read the middle rather quickly as well. The second time I read the book, I read it slower and actually enjoyed it more (probably because I knew when Edward was coming back and that it was going to be ok. lol)

ReplyDeleteI read your post about dreading tomorrow night in the other thread, and I completely agree, especially if M/A don't show up together, because the shippers will go crazy drawing conclusions that have no real basis. And even if they do break up, or have, it doesn't mean that it's because of Rob, which is something that people have a hard time understanding.
I honestly would not be surprised if they did break up, because of the time apart and the media/fan speculation. That has got to wear on Michael, even if he does trust her. That's a lot of pressure, especially for young kids, you know?

They seem to have weathered it this far, why pack it in now? Actors that are together spend time apart all the time. They know that's the way it is going into the relationship. Who knows. I'll bet MA will be there.

If they were to get into a relationship and then split, the on-screen chemistry in the remaining Twi-films would be compromised, and that would suck!

I'm sure they're well away how the majority of the fan base wants R/K together, and lets face it, having their two young, hot leads as a couple when they have two movies together would be a studio's dream, especially concerning Rob, because he's a "heartthrob" and Kristin is about the only person the teen fans will tolerate. So ... if they were wanting to be together, I'm sure Summit wouldn't cockblock it.

Haha That's funny what Nikki's imdb page says. You get photographed a few times with someone (MA) and suddenly you are dating. Actually, Nikki and MA have been friends for a few years. They were in a movie together. That's probably how N and K became friends (not on the set of Twilight).

Yeah Win, I saw that. There were at least 4 internet sites that crashed from people trying to see nekkid Rob. I keep reading stories everywhere of people Crackberrying and iPhoning pics of him to their friends. I did that with my friend Meli, and she and her Twicrack co-worker sat squealing like girls, even though they are both 30-something teachers. Same thing happened yesterday when I sent them the ET NM trailer snippet. It's crazy...absolutely crazy. It's funny that the media don't quite get that it's GROWN WOMEN doing this shiz, not just teens! Hilarious. I think it should be studied by some sociologists.

ReplyDeleteI still want to see it cause I know it's a great script and it's going to be a really strong, heartfelt performance for Rob, especially since the writer went back and put a lot of Rob's personality traits in the script. That's going to be a great thing and a not so great thing.

cougar, I don't know that the script is available. I haven't read it. Mechevpao found a site from a studio exec, I guess, who reads scripts for a living? Just guessing, that's what it seemed...anyway, she had read the script and wasn't too impressed until she read the "twist" ending, which put the whole thing in a different light for her. She had removed the original script from her site, but people who had read it when it was still posted remembered the ending, and someone gave it away in the comments section. Dope here read it, so even though the script underwent extensive rewrites, I'm sure the twist will be the same. You don't want to know what it is. (Does she, Stacy? I'm emailing you now!)

As for the script, my friend who follows this stuff closely has read it, I think, and it was on the black list of scripts last year (like the 10 best scripts) so it's supposed to be really good, and the twist just adds to it. I read the same review you did tho, so who knows. I think it sounds great just ... you know.

Ok. Thanks ladies. A few days ago I saw that there was a thread on imdb about it, and it just seemed that many of the posters had read the script. I was at work at the time and so I didn't post anything asking where they read it. Thankfully no one gave away the ending, but now I want to know anyway. lol
ReplyDeleteI assumed from the first time that I started reading about this film that either he or the female lead dies at the end, but I have no idea because I don't really know that much about the film to begin with. People in the beginning were comparing it to Love Story. I guess that's why I drew that conclusion. However, Rob said in an interview that it wasn't like Love Story.

Coug, I'm the same age as you and most of my Robsessed friends are around the same age. We are all set to see everyone of his movies together. But I have one girlfriend who I share all the fun stuff with. I think Rob has also made friendships stronger, new frienships and couples sex lives better. lol.

ReplyDeleteWinWin...My best friend and I are both crazy about Rob and talk about him quite a bit, but I'm a bit more into him than she is as far as scouring the internet for stuff about him. She gets a lot of the info from me. But for the most part I live my life as a closet Robsessor because I don't know many others my age who feel the love... I'm a teacher though, and some of my 5th graders have the warm tinglies for Robward. (I don't tell them that I do too, just that I'm a Twilight fan.) Not sure what I think of that those girls feeling that way. They're 10-11 for goodness sake.
Lucky for Stacy, I live 90 miles south of her! *waves*

I just read on FB that my best friend since college just listed on her "Things I Hate That Everyone Seems To Love", in the number one spot, "That Twilight dude Robert Pattinson." !!!!! I knew she didn't like the movie and wasn't impressed by the acting, but I didn't know she hated Rob! Sheesh! She knows I dig him, too. Wow. How is it even possible to hate Rob? *tries to wrap mind around this*

She's the one who got me to read Twilight in the first place. I don't know anyone "IRL" either who's a big Twilight or Rob fan. I am WAY to old for this shiz. So I enjoy this place very, very much.

I bet we only see that little bit of Rob at the beginning of the trailer. The majority of the movie is Jake and the wolves. Hopefully they'll show a little of Bella's visions of Edward so that we can assess how well that translates to film.

ReplyDeleteReally? I think that part of the book is so important, even tho it's hard, cause it's so important to the growth of Bella's character, and to proving to both her and Edward that she can't live without him.
I must admit Mech, the first time I read the book I found myself continually skimming the pages looking for Edward's name to pop up. I read the middle rather quickly as well. The second time I read the book, I read it slower and actually enjoyed it more (probably because I knew when Edward was coming back and that it was going to be ok. lol)
