I agree, SluttyPattz. It is kind of cool that he thinks it is only about Edward, but we know differently. Edward introduced us to Rob, but it is Rob we love and partially because he hasn't let it go to his head. He is still Rob. Not many people in his position could stay so normal and gracious in the eye of this kind of public firestorm.
I'm looking really forward to seeing the whole thing ! They seem to have had such fun together! It's nice to see that at least the three main characters get on so well! To bad for the other fame whores who are only in it for the money....
Oprah addressed him, "For you Sir", What a Compliment !!!!!!! When Rob smiles, the World smiles with him..... His sense of humour, his wit, he's really adorable, a fine young gentleman and all the adjectives/superlatives you ladies bestowed on him.
Let Rob think it's all about Edward because that is the only way he is able to deal with the insanity.He needs to have some sort of separation. So i agree with everything he says. It's just his way of dealing with everything. Fans imo really need to back off and let him live his life. He is an actor and his private life is just that private. He doesn't need people screaming at him or following him.

Why do they always ask him uninteresting questions he's already been asked about a million times? The American accent, etc. They've been asking him that since he was cast in Twilight. They've asked him again when he did Remember Me. Same old, same old... He's so adorable, I wonder how he can be so patient. Let's hope the rest of the show is more interesting...
Rob has had two years with interviews and the press and now he is coming in to his own. He seems more relaxed with his answers and his dry Brit humor just cracks me up. Oprah didn't ask Kristen anything on these clips. Kristen looks great. Wonder if that is due to her man.

Always the same old questions. If Rob would not be there, I would not watch it.
Actually, it's funny that was said. This past weekend my daughter wanted to watch twilight again, and I said lets watch it with the commentary. Of course, she likes Edward, not Robert. Needless to say, she had a little fit. I explained to her that I didn't like Edward's accent, never have. I won't say what she had to say about Robert's English accent, hehe. (Funny she always said she just adored his music, until she actually sat down and watched "New Moon". Damn Edward and his 'parking-lot walk'!) But anways, that's the reason why I'm having problems getting back into the whole "Eclipse" thing again. One of them anyway. The other of course, I LOVED the way he acted and his looks in "Remember Me" (english accent or not). I understand that Kristen was trying to explain to him that Americans do not call certain things here what they do over there.

I know it's still the 12th in many of your time zones, but it's now 6:10 am, May 13th in my neck of the ocean, so I wanted to send my wishes out because by this afternoon, this site would have been updated at least twice.
I know I have heard this before but to see him and hear him say he wanted to be a rapper and Oprah's expression. Hysterical. Rob is one of those rare individuals who just radiates sunshine and joy. He is so alive. Love to watch him (over and over again).

I think it's fine that he still wants to believe it's about Edward - it's his way of dealing with it. He's not an airhead, so he doesn't value adulation about good looks, he wants to be remembered for other things - and he will be - he's really going to raise the bar and change the whole industry. He is a genuinely lovely guy. So special and rare - there's never been anyone like him ... He's wonderful.

Rob is literally shining beside Kristen and Taylor. I love his facial expressions and giggles :) and those wonky legs. It's almost like he's still a child. And then he speaks with his lovely manly voice ahhh... spontaneously joking and answering with honesty. I think I'm in love lol

Haven't read the thread yet so forgive me if somenone has already voiced this opinion.
I used to think it was all about Rob, not Edward, but look at what happened with Remember Me. Don't you all remember? The Twifanbase did NOT turn out for that film; in fact, they pretty much boycotted it for flimsy Twilight related reasons like he was 'cheating on Kristen' with Emilie. When I saw what happened with RM I knew that Rob's fan base was splintering or dividing. It has essentially done so. That's a fact.
So, in a way, he is right about the multitudes screaming for Edward. [When people cry for Tyler.] And, if it makes Rob stay grounded, it is good. So, on this I've changed my mind.
Of course, with me, it is all about Robert f*cking Pattinson.
Suz, Julia, Rum....Hard to go back to Edward after Tyler. Have to say I do love them both, but Tyler, a heartbreaker, and I'll always love Rob in that role.
That said, I'm one of those who love his portrayal of Edward, who think he didn't have to prove he could act in RM because he's already done so in Twilight. Oh yes, he did. Anyone who knows the character of Edward knows he did it.
And yeah, Oprah, what's with the lame questions? I'd yawn but I'd be too afraid of closing my eyes and missing The Pretty.
Jacob is not his 'own sun'. Robert outshines everyone; he is the sun.
God how I love this man! He truly outshone everyone in the room, and even Oprah seemed charmed.
For the first time Kristen didn't annoy me, she actually looked happy and fresh.
Taylor can take a page from Rob's book on how to really talk honestly and with wit, he sounded robotic and rehearsed. But he's still so young; gotta give the kid a break.
@jessiegirl - I totally agree with you - Rob has portrayed Edward magnificently, and it can't be an easy character to play.. I've always absolutely adored Edward,and I simply can't imagine anyone but Rob playing this part!

ReplyDeleteHave to say I do love them both, but Tyler, a heartbreaker, and I'll always love Rob in that role.
That said, I'm one of those who love his portrayal of Edward, who think he didn't have to prove he could act in RM because he's already done so in Twilight. Oh yes, he did. Anyone who knows the character of Edward knows he did it.
And yeah, Oprah, what's with the lame questions? I'd yawn but I'd be too afraid of closing my eyes and missing The Pretty.

ReplyDeleteGod how I love this man! He truly outshone everyone in the room, and even Oprah seemed charmed.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time Kristen didn't annoy me, she actually looked happy and fresh.
Taylor can take a page from Rob's book on how to really talk honestly and with wit, he sounded robotic and rehearsed. But he's still so young; gotta give the kid a break.
@jessiegirl - I totally agree with you - Rob has portrayed Edward magnificently, and it can't be an easy character to play.. I've always absolutely adored Edward,and I simply can't imagine anyone but Rob playing this part!
