Oh my Rob, this looks like it was such fun and full of great energy and full of beautiful, classic Rob....so bummed I missed getting in to see it by just a few spots on the standby ticket line.....can't wait to see it tonight!

ReplyDeleteJust a thought, but, I'm guessing that because he ended up soaking wet, that's not one of his good suits- a "loaner", perhaps from the studio? It doesn't look like Rob's style, especially the wide tie. The color's not great, either, although I usually like him in colors.

ReplyDeleteSooooooooo adorable. I love it when he's having fun. After seeing him on Jon Stewart and GMA after the scandal and how uncomfortable he was to promote the movie Cosmo that he was so proud of. I read somewhere that he said he was giving his best acting performance in those interviews. Today show asked K and R about their relationship - both dodged the question. Rob has a funny way of doing everything though, where K is serious and acts pissed off all the time. I guess opposites attract........but they do have a lot in common too.

ReplyDeleteNo Christine, everything went right. After the chats, Jimmy plays "games" with his guests. Last time he and Rob were covered in plastic shields and they shot arrows at each other (Rob got Jimmy in the crotch...booyah). Last night he and Kristen played a screwy game of quarters where they both had to chug some beer. But the best game he plays is the water game cos it just turns into a mess. Was hoping Rob would get to play it one day.
ReplyDeleteYou should have seen her on Fallon last night. She was comfortable, relaxed. I think because she felt safe. Jimmy has always been great with these kids and they know he's not gonna go for a 'gotcha' moment. She's comfortable with Josh too and it shows. But the rest? She doesn't know what they're gonna throw at it her and yeah, she's quite visibly on guard. And when some twat asks a question that they've been told is off limits, she's got every right to be pissed. Rob too is on guard and gets pissed, but because of his off-kilter sense of humour, he's able to deflect it better. Just an opinion.
ReplyDeleteNik, I saw her on Today show and watched her get completely caught off guard with the one question she trusted them not to ask (not to mention it was 3 against 1) and they made themselves out to be total a**holes while she looked like a helpless kid. Later on ET or AH or whatever they said she was blindsided by them and were taking Kristen's side so it backfired on them. Anybody could see it was so rude and just wrong. I'm glad they got no satisfaction from her or Rob.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you and Nik. Rob was great because he knew it was coming. But Kristen handled better that I think anyone could having it come at her like that. And her response was funny! I guess sarcasm as a form of deflection and humour is no longer appreciated by some.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get to see her response, only that she looked to the side as if looking for help and then they cut to commercial like they were covering up their screw-up. I saw her answer later on one of the entertainment shows, but it was just a snippet. They should not have been asked that in the first place.
ReplyDeleteI think Kristen had prepared an answer in case talk show hosts wouldn't behave themselves. IMHO she didn't come over as caught off guard but more like: here we go.. She handled that silly question very well. For me, Rob's answer, though with a laugh, was more critical, more like he would say: "Why are you doing this?" There wasn't an elephant in the room, the host braught it in it. But it seems to be usual at Today show. Well..if they can live with it , working like that..
