Robert Pattinson Attended A Hollywood Hills Fundraiser Hosted by LA Models Runway (July 26)

Robert Pattinson Attended A Hollywood Hills Fundraiser Hosted by LA Models Runway (July 26)

You may remember a few days ago we had this post and the pic of Rob below with Greg Collard.
We didn't have very many details about the pic but now we do!

It was a fundraiser event hosted by LA Models Runway on July 26th. Check out more details below.

 photo RobPattinsonJuly2013.png

From lr-moonchild.blogspot.co.uk
Last Friday, the LA Models Runway division (my awesome team!) hosted a 'surprise' Fundraiser event for a dear friend and client that is close to the heart of many. Our special guest, Greg Collard, faced a severe life threatening infection late last year that required devastating measures to be taken in attempt to save his life. His strong spirit, courage and determination have led him down the road to recovery, and inspired those closest to him to come together in a show of support....
Graciously held at the infamous 'party mansion' on Electra Court (home of our lovely friend and model/actress Erin Guzoski-Alanian) this candlelit soiree was definitely a night to remember.....close friends, laughter, incredible city views, fashion, specialty cocktails, delicious hors d'oeuvres, live music ~pianist/singer followed by ambient DJ sets, photo booth opps for fun and a cupcake bar!!
AND, to top the night off, we welcomed an unexpected guest....Twilight star Rob Pattinson! (who's presence/photograph put our party on all of the Hollywood gossip sites -- strange how quick word travels over such things as "Rob Pattinson Parties with Models in Hollywood").
None the less...
Thanks RPatz for bringing press to LA Models Runway and Greg Collard himself :)

Thanks PJ!

" I Hope We Will See Him One Day As A Director" ~ Werner Herzog Talks About Robert Pattinson

" I Hope We Will See Him One Day As A Director" ~Werner Herzog Talks About Robert Pattinson

 photo WernerHerzogampRobertPattinson.jpg

This interview with Werner Herzog (director of "Queen Of The Desert") was done back in January and as you know we got updated news about the location etc in June (check that out HERE if you missed it) so disregard the second part of the second question.
But have a look at the great things Werner has to say about Rob!

Playboy: For your next film 'Queen of the Desert' you have cast 'Twilight' teen heartthrob Robert Pattinson.
Herzog: He approached me. That is why I am taken seriously in Hollywood. Because so many good actors want to work with me. Nicolas Cage was never better than in 'Bad Lieutenant'.
Playboy: What do you see in Robert Pattinson ?
Herzog: He has charisma, he is smart, he writes. I hope we will see him one day as a director. 'Queen of the Desert' is not yet fully funded, and we don't know yet where we will shoot. Possibly, that should be in Syria.

Ben Mezrich Author Of "The Social Network" Is A Huge Robert Pattinson Fan

Who knew Ben Mezrich author of "The Social Network" was a huge Robert Pattinson fan? Not me that's for sure!
He was on CNN yesterday and mentioned that he would love Robert Pattinson to star in his next film "Straight Flush"

 photo thumbup.gif

This resulted in people tweeting the author and he responded with this............

Rob in demand, do you love it or do you love it?

 photo loveit.gif

Mr Mezrich wasn't finished sharing yet.

He also revealed that he met with Rob once and (not surprisingly) had only good things to say about him!

Robert Pattinson's "Mission Blacklist" UPDATED Filming Schedule & Location Information

Photobucket

Embankment Films have updated their website and added the delivery date for Mission:Blackist as Summer 2014.
As we reported before the start date for Principal Photography is April 2013.

But there's an update also on location BlacklistMovie spoke via email to Embankment Films about the location and were told "It will not be Iraq, they start shooting in April."

So there you have it!!  Are you relieved that it's not going to be shot in Iraq?

Photobucket

Source / BlacklistMovie via MissionBlacklistfilm

From The Improper
Robert Pattinson won’t be heading into harm’s way in Iraq after all, when he starts filming “Mission Blacklist” about Saddam Hussein’s capture during the Iraq War, according to sources.

Rob will be jumping out of his current picture, “The Rover,” and right into filming his psychological thriller.

Principal production is scheduled to start as soon as April, studio Embankment Films has announced on its website.

A source confirms to TheImproper that the movie won’t be shot in Iraq as originally reported. The film will likely do its location shooting in Morocco or Jordan.

A number of period desert films have been shot the North African country, including 2001′s “Black Hawk Down.” In the last few years, Michael Patrick King’s “Sex and the City 2,” Disney’s “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,” and “Inception” have been filmed there.

But Director Kathryn Bigelow chose to film her Oscar-winning Iraq war epic, “The Hurt Locker,” in Jordan. She wanted to be as close to Iraq as possible, while avoiding the war-torn country. “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” also filmed in Jordan in 1988.

Obviously we'll update with any more news or official confirmation about locations etc

Robert Pattinson's "Cosmopolis" On The Film Stages Best Films Of 2012 List

Robert Pattinson's "Cosmopolis" On The Film Stages Best Films Of 2012 List

I see many, many best film lists in Cosmopolis' future. This is a great one to get things rolling.
Just WAIT till you read what they say about Rob!

Photobucket

Here's what The Film Stage had to say about "Cosmopolis"

Love it or hate it, this is a film made without compromise. But I do love it, and even think David Cronenberg has done some of his finest work with a scary, funny, and prescient examination of a world which lies just outside the limo. What’s great on the page and translated through the camera is tied together by great ensemble, all of whom are squaring off against Robert Pattinson, an actor who could only be said to have made his homecoming. (KATE: GAH LOVE it) What a beautiful breakout this is. – Nick N.

NEW Interview: A Very Proud Robert Pattinson Talks To Reuters About "Cosmopoils" & His Fans

Awwww I love this interview that Reuters did with Robert Pattinson (even though it's super short) you can see how proud he is of "Cosmopolis"

I also love the super snazzy buttons that the fans are wearing at the 0:29 mark (they look familiar!! ;-P)

You can also watch the video at the Original Source

The 26-year-old actor swiftly walked the red carpet, guided by two publicists who only allowed two questions per reporter. Upon the British native's arrival to the premiere, fans from around the world crowded the sidewalk with just the hope of getting a glimpse of the star. Pattinson joked about how he felt about the self-proclaimed "Rob-ssesed" fans waiting for his arrival. "Fear, absolute terror," he said with a smile. "It's great - I didn't expect it from the first 'Twilight' movie, I never expected my life to be like this and so it's kind of weird to have lasted. And for people to come to movies that I'm really like proud of and I didn't really think anyone's going to see, I mean it's like, it's kind of amazing," he added. In "Cosmopolis" Pattinson plays a ruthless billionaire on a journey to self-destruction, which is a departure from his "Twilight" character, Edward.

Pattinson said the role just sort of fell into his lap. "I read the script about a year before and then I got sent it again - just a straight offer and it's with Cronenberg, so I was like (looks amazed). And the only thing, I was scared to do it I thought I wasn't going to be good enough so like," Pattinson told Reuters. Director David Cronenberg said he had no doubts about Pattinson's ability to adapt into a New Yorker for the film. "Cosmopolis" will premiere in New York and Los Angeles on August 17th and nationwide on August 25th.

Cosmopolis Is An Absolute Work Of Art, & Robert Pattinson’s Performance Is Nothing Short Of Stunning

How could I not be in love with this review when it says things like that?

Ok, ok you have to ignore the "R-pattz" reference and the "legion of batshit fans" remark but I can totally turn a blind eye to both of those when Harry Harris says such things as "Robert Pattinson has proved himself as an actor of real prowess in Cosmopolis – my film of the year so far" and that Cosmopolis is "probably the most exciting piece of cinema this century".

PLEASE head over to Sabotagetimes.com and read the full article!

Photobucket

R-Patz has finally cast of the shackles of Edward Cullen and proved himself as an actor of real prowess in Cosmopolis – my film of the year so far

“Prepare to be surprised” reads the tagline for Cosmopolis, David Cronenberg’s long awaited adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel, and given the fact that teen idol Robert Pattinson adorns the posters, slumped over in a beast of a limousine, you get the feeling that it’s his performance that we’re being directed towards. He is arguably the biggest star of the moment, thrown from relative obscurity into the blinding light via the Twilight series, and the legion of batshit fans that it has managed to accrue. The worry for Pattinson in becoming so closely associated with one role is that the more popular Twilight becomes, and certainly it’s showing no signs of abating, the harder it will be for him to craft a career for himself when the franchise inevitably comes to a close.

Kudos to him then for taking on Cosmopolis, a dark, challenging, radical change of pace directed by David Cronenberg. I’ll cut right to the chase: The film is an absolute work of art, and Robert Pattinson’s performance is nothing short of stunning.

VIDEO: Robert Pattinson talks to Empire Online about his favorite monologues in Cosmopolis, wanting his balls tasered and more

Highlights:
  • Rob talks about David's sense of humor
  • Talks about how Cosmopolis being "aggressively unlovable" still respects the audience
  • Tells us which monologue he loved in Cosmopolis (I loved that one too! "The cork.")
  • Also loved Samantha Morton's (Vija) dialogue. YES! "The protest against the future." That stuff was sooo good. "I understand none of this." LOL
  • Rob mentions the one take stuff with Paul Giamatti. You guys remember that! The hand shooting part...one take! *heart swells*
  • Rob wanted to be tasered on his balls. He's nuts. We love him.
Great interview! Give it a watch.

"Robert Pattinson Is A Beautiful Actor" - David Cronenberg

David Cronenberg Talks Robert Pattinson & New Projects with
moviescopemag
Check it out below

Photobucket

David Cronenberg is searching for funding for “nasty and disturbing” new project Maps to the Stars, starring Robert Pattinson, the star of his latest film Cosmopolis, and long-term collaborator Viggo Mortensen.

The British actor Pattinson looks set to become the renowned sci-fi horror director’s new muse. Playing the financial genius Eric Packer – who heads across New York in a white limousine in search of a hair cut – he appears in every scene of Cronenberg’s new film Cosmopolis, which competed for the Palme D’or at the years Cannes Film Festival and opens in UK cinemas June 15.

Cronenberg today described the star of the Twilight franchise as “a beautiful actor who often responds to scenes without even realising what he’s doing. That’s why I love him.” (Kate: Awwwwwwww I LOVE David )

Pattinson will perform opposite Viggo Mortensen, best known for his role as Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings franchise, who starred in Cronenberg’s A History of Violence, Eastern Promises and A Dangerous Method. The two are regarded as creative partners.

Speaking in London today, the Canadian director of The Fly, Scanners and eXistenz said: “There’s a brilliant script by an author friend of mine called Bruce Wagner. All of his books are fantastic. I tried to get this script off the ground five years ago, but I couldn’t get it made. In a way its like Cosmopolis; it’s a difficult sell. It’s edgy in a nasty, disturbing way. It has emotion, but it has a weird emotion like Cosmopolis.

“It’s hard to make difficult movies. When you have very credible actors who bring a lot of attention like Viggo Mortensen and Robert Pattinson, you think it would be easy to raise 15 million dollars, but it’s not.”
