Entertainment Weekly gives Robert Pattinson the "sexiest non-sex scene" award for Cosmopolis

Entertainment Weekly gives Robert Pattinson the "sexiest non-sex scene" award for Cosmopolis

Entertainment Weekly is posting Summer Movie Awards and Rob won Sexiest Non-Sex Scene for the Cosmopolis prostate exam.

Raw power unleashed INDEED. This part..."That whole sad business of Judeo- Christian jogging. You were not born to run. I look at you. I know what you are. You are sloppy-bodied, smelly and wet. A woman who was born to sit strapped in a chair while a man tells her how much she excites him."

Lawwwd help me when he says that line, I die. So commanding. DomRob lives, y'all.

But frankly, I think he needs to also be given Sexiest Sex Scene for the same movie.

Easter egg....

Kristen Stewart talks about working with Robert Pattinson and Sarah Gadon mentions their Cosmopolis characters

The first mention comes from Kristen who squashed the Ciné-Télé (Belgium) comment allegedly from Rob that we posted HERE. We put a grain of salt on that post because it was translated and print. You know those two things are a classic combo for the grain of salt. Kristen says "we are constantly working but no".

Sarah Gadon talked about Eric and Elise, dominating the indomintable guy and a cool thing to consider regarding the seating position of her and Rob in Cosmopolis:
M&C: Your character’s relationship with Eric Pattinson) her husband, is oddly straightforward – it’s love/hate.  It’s brittle, combative and sexual.  What's your take on it?

Gadon: So often as a female actress you’re accustomed to reading material where the male character projects onto you exactly what you’re feeling and exactly what you’re working in and exactly what your actions are in a scene.

What I thought was so hilarious about the two of them is that he spent the entire time trying to project onto her – “I want to fuck you, I think you’re sexy, I want this. That, you’re sad, you’re happy”.
And she spends the whole time saying “No, no” until the end of the arc when he says “I’m not going to be the man you want me to be” and she says "Okay well, I’m out”.  It was so refreshing to me to read that also terrifying.  There is a charisma to the way she does it.  But there is no blazing moment where the screenwriter is saying “fall in love with this woman” because she’s a woman.

M&C: Was your purpose was to dominate the indomitable guy?

Gadon: I think that’s why women are so responsive to the character.  Men say to me “So she’s really cold” [laughs] but that is what is so great about David is that as a filmmaker, he leaves so much open to interpretation and he allows for the female and male spectator.
He’s not assuming all audiences members are young men.   He’s saying “I'm going to give you a guy like this or a girl like this and then a woman and a sex scene like that”.  That’s what I find so stimulating about his work.   I'm speculating into the void now but I think he really does account for audiences that are both men and women.

M&C: He has a strong wife and daughter.  He’s interesting to see him grow over the years; he seems to have relaxed as a director now, perhaps less of a control freak now.

Gadon: But he is not a lax director.  Everything is so defined.  He spent a lot of time getting the script to get to that point.   So often, as Rob Pattinson says, you get material that is not fully developed and just because of the nature of the industry now, you don’t know what’s going to get green lit.
It has nothing to do with the script and everything to do with the casting, director, financing, so an actor may go to camera with a script that is not going to be developed anymore.

It creates a different kind of role for an actor.  So often you’re trying to figure out a scene, the action, intention, emotion with the director on the day and it’s just a lot messier.   With David it’s already there.

There is that difference, but on the day.  He’s there watching and listening and he comes up and says something, even a word, “comprised”, not composed”, and you’ll say it and it will change your whole performance.

Rob and I had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the movie and he wanted us to sit side by side.  He asked us to sit outward until the end of the scene when we face each other.  Things like that that change your performance.   He likes to play like he’s laid back!

Torture Tuesday starring Robert Pattinson

Torture Tuesday starring Robert Pattinson

I'm going to tell you a story. There once was a boy named Robert.

Photobucket
*said dramatically as if reading it to a three year old*

Robert became a man and was gifted control over millions of females in dark recesses. To keep his frenzied, female, fanbase (FFF) satiated, Robert made movies they could worship. One day, Robert finished promoting a movie and disappeared. The FFF was prepared for this because Robert would often hide from the madness. However, Robert popped up one day with peach fuzzed hair. The FFF lost their minds. They bellowed, "What is Robert up tooooo? Why the buzz cut??? New project, Raaaahhhhbbb???" Robert granted the FFF one final appearance before returning to his private den of sin for months. The FFF just knew Robert would tell them then what the future had in store. Hope was in the air in Berlin when a kind man asked Robert about his next career move. But Robert, skilled in deflection, killed hope and danced his way out of the inquiry. Robert told all the land, "GNOH. It is not time for you to know." The FFF were sent back to limbo where they await word from their king.

The moral of this story....Robert was born to torture you.

INTERVIEWS: Robert Pattinson describes Bel Ami, the strong female characters & more

Rob talks about having a movie at a festival and describes the film later in the clip :)

ZDF interview: Rob again mentions it being nice to have the film at a festival then Christina Ricci discusses the sex scene with Rob and finally back to Rob talking about the strong women in the film.

Translation of the dubbing (source/via):
Rob: It's my first festival for a movie I've done so it's nice I'm really excited.

Christina: Rob and I had a really great rapport? We were able to joke with each other, be silly on set. We were able to laugh about how awkward and uncomfortable and ridiculous the whole situation was.

Rob: It's nice having 3 really incredibly strong actresses. They're the strongest women as well, it's kind of ... to have to pretend to dominate cause I would never be able to dominate them in real life. (Tink: You could dominate an African-sized continent full of women if you wanted to, Rob. Dare we go larger than that?)

Another interview after the cut.
No Rob but talk about his character from Christina Ricci and the directors.

Robert Pattinson in Popcorn Magazine (Germany)

It's times like this when I regret only studying German for two years! I want to know what they're saying about his face! In the meantime I'm quite content to just stare.

The translation is after the scan thanks to Robsessed83 and Katja :)

Hair:
People that brush their hair out of their face want to show strength, power and sexual potency. In other words: "I'll get what I want". Robert is a fighter, very ambitious and target-oriented. (Gozde: Ooooh, I like that!)

Forehead:
Rob's high and broad forehead stands for intelligence and assertiveness. Such ambitious people would want to bang their head against a wall most of the time. If it's not working, they might even lose it.

Eyes:
A clear glaze, almost a glare, paired with bushy eyebrows. Robert can be dominant, maybe even despotic. He is goal-oriented and really ambitious, demanding and dominant between the sheets. A self confident guy who knows exactly what he wants and how to get it.(Gozde: Too much fanfic on the brain. Are they describing his facial features or trying to make me HOT and bothered? :))

Nose:
Sturdy and pointing down, his nose stands for ambition, justice and a strong will. However, the alar wings of the nose are not very distinct, which means: Robert has a hard time putting himself in the position of others.

Mouth:
A beautiful, well-proportioned mouth, the lips rather small. Robert's sensitiv and artistic nature is unmistakable. But: he tends to be the brooding one, shutting himself off to other people a lot.

Jaw:
A broad Jaw stands for assertiveness and self-confidence. A guy like Rob won't get agitated easily.

Conclusion:
Even if he's not the most talkative person, Robert Pattinson (23) is a fighter by nature, setting straight goals and won't let others get in his way. A guy with principles, even though he's not big on patience. If things go really wrong he might even lose it. That fact makes him a loner. Robert's only open to new things if he wants to be. His will to work and dominance are both remarkable. He wants to give directions, even concerning his love life.
His greatest fear: Being a loser!
