New Moon movie confirmed?

Last week Kristen kinda confirmed it in an interview and now toxicshocktv claims :

Even though Twilight isn’t due to hit screens until November, its production company, Summit Entertainment, has announced its moving ahead with the making of its sequel. Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood Daily said Monday that the sequel will be based on the book series’ sequel, written by Stephenie Meyer, called New Moon.

They'd better have a lot of Rob in it. And by the rate his fan base has grown I'm sure they will. So YAY for New Moon!

He stared deep into my eyes with his sincere, earnest gaze. "I'm a good liar, Bella, I have to be."

"I lied to save you, and it didn't work. I'm sorry."

"But how could you believe me? after all the thousand times I've told you I love you, how could you let one word break your faith in me?"

Oh I am getting excited already and I haven't even had Twilight yet...

Oh Brooke you are killing me! That line...

So considering the incredible popularity of said Mr. Robert Thomas Pattinson, do you really think women are gonna line up to watch (yawn....Taylor Lautner?) try to sweep Bella off her feet?

They're gonna have to get Steph's help to put some extra Edward time on the screen. Shirt open, Skin glistening, reflecting rainbows, bell tolling... the reunion!

Holy Hell! The reunion! When Bells is all sleepy and Edward tells her it was the "blackest kind of blasphemy" that he didn't love her.

Okay, hands waving in front of face, trying to fight off the tears. I'm feeling a little VERKLEMPT RIGHT NOW!

In the spirit of trying to catch Rob's attention... in the shortest cheerleader outfit I could find (and let's not forget the megaphone!):

"GO TEAM EDWARD! EDWARD! EDWARD! EDWARD!"

Brooke - Like a favorite love letter, I read that paragraph over and over.

thanks for reminding me of it.

I don't think they should deviate too much from the book, but maybe they can add a few flash back scenes for the Edward obsessed..

For the hardcore saps:

"Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. very dark, but there were stars- points of light and reason... And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddently everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. when you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everythign went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light. I couldn't see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything."

I love that whole almost neck bite...

Oh you guys are making me want to read the book over again with these quotes!

I don't know if my heart can handle watching Bella in so much pain! I can hardly read those parts of the book. Every time Edward leaves Bella in the wood, I go and pour myself a drink. Sigh...

Tess said...

Goz- I know. I ached for her. It was amazing.

Lynn said...

Goz---I hear you. But, with all the tragedy in my own life, I know what it felt to be like Bella (post Edward, pre Jacob)...it was kinda cathartic for me. Her days mirrored mine ten years ago!

I was on my lunch break at work when I read that scene. I almost screamed out loud "What the Hell?" I was so pissed at Edward.

Loved the pages though that just listed the months and nothing else. Been there, done that, got the tee-shirt.

What a way to describe the ultimate heartbreak! Has anyone read the out takes on Steph's website which is the phone call to Edward from Rosalie about Bella being dead? It better be in the "New Moon" movie. It is so awful and heartbreaking....

This blog is rocking big time. So jazzed they are making New Moon. And that one paragraph is my fave too. Read it 10 times over when I first got the book. *I melt*

I think we will all be pleasantly surprised by New Moon, Edward and the Cullen's with have parallel lives I imagine while away from Forks and I don't doubt Edward will be in dreams and such... Think about Italy and the Night they return from Italy and when Bella finally absorbs that he loves her just as equally as she loves him - *sigh*

You see it was Blue Moon that turned me into a hopeless romantic, I hated this mushy shit before....

Good night all you lovely Twilight nymphs, vixens, goddesses, and just all out rockin hot babes!

I'm finally hitting the pillow. This week has totally screwed me up. This blog has been rocking out! I can't get enough!

Love all of you, you make me smile!

I spent the majority of New Moon crying but I loved it. A lot of people list that one as their least favorite in the series but to me, it's so powerful. Most people read it just waiting for Edward to come back but as I've re-read it I realized that Bella and Edward learn more about their relationship in New Moon than the other books (except Breaking Dawn, maybe). That's my opinion, anyway.

If Edward had never left, Bella would not know that she couldn't live without him and vice versa. It had to happen. Her decision at the end of Eclipse would have been harder if he had never left because she wouldn't know what it was like to live without Edward. I think the writing in New Moon is some of the most beautiful writing in the whole series. So vivid and heartbreaking.
I really didn't mean for this to be so long. Anyway, yeah I'm pretty excited for the next movie. Summit would be a bunch of fools if they didn't make it.

Gozde said...

Emily I completely agree.

Thanks Gozde. I got a little wordy there but oh, well.
Thanks to you and Dani for the fantastic work you do. I can't get enough of this place (or Rob, for that matter.)

Em I am with you 100% my fave is New Moon. I think the movie will be stellar. Kristen can do tortured really well. She can totally encompass the pain of Bella. And Rob does self loathing like no ones business. I think it will be great. And I cried like Hell while reading it too.

brooke, this is my favorite part of the book, the night in and after Italy. It was the hardest book to read with all the pain that Bella was going through.

I'm so excited they are going to make New Moon into a movie!

I don't remember which interview I watched but Rob said that New Moon was actually his favorite book even though his character wasn't in it much. He said it would be a great one to put to movie. Very challenging for him.
