You would think the pappz would know Rob isn't American & asking him Thanksgiving related questions like what he's thankful for this year is kind of stupid. I'm surprised they both didn't have their earbuds in.

Gozde said...

I was thinking the same thing about the earbuds. I guess with the sunglasses and earbuds to music they can tune out the paps easier.

Gozde said...

i was just going to say the same thing! oh those sillies...

Gozde said...

I know what I would tell them... and it is very, very polite. But, I guess he's not interested enough in them to even answer them.

Gozde said...

The woman behind him in the 5th picture looks absolutely Rob-struck, just as I would if I ever was blessed with the presence of the world's most beautiful man...one of these days I'm gonna get to see him in person, it's on my bucket list dammit!

Gozde said...

Watching a rerun of Kimmel..."fur and balls"...goodness Rob kills me each and every time!

Gozde said...

Yes....me, too! I just want to see him, up-close. I don't have to talk to him (although touching would be nice). I'm afraid that my jaw would drop to the floor, and have drool coming out...LOL! Or worse, I'd throw-up! LOL!

Gozde said...

awww..NYC. miss it. even more now that I know The Pretty is there.

Gozde said...

Nice look. Just a little off topic. The other day, my yoga teacher asked me if he could borrow my copy of Cosmopolis, Naturally I've been going on and on about it; I was kinda happy that he showed interest but for the very first time I felt a bit possessive of the book. I'm usually OK about sharing books etc, it's never bothered me, I've always lent books but for some reason part of me felt reluctant to lend it. Of couse I gave him my book knowing that he would appreciate it and also I thought it was great that one more person showed interest....so best to keep up the interest. I'm very keen to hear what he thinks.
Rob looks so damn gorgeous.

Gozde said...

Kind of had an idea. I follow Scott Feinberg, Joe Leydon, and other movie critics on twitter...I know there are two film journalists (not critics) from Variety who routinely go over the top in attacking Rob and KS. To give the first guy credit, he did say he liked Rob in Water for Elephants and KS in On the Road. Some nutty so called Kristen stan fan was retweeting one of his criticisms of Cosmopolis with LOL, and some so-called Rob fans retweet anything slightly negative about Kristen from these guys... However, they often retweet the craziest so called Rob and Kristen fans (some twitter user sinicalbitch who calls Rob emasculated, said some pretty horrible nasty slurs and wished violence on KS, and insists he is in PR, etc.) who support the film journalists whenever they tweet something critical. For example, they will tweet something to the journalists like "don't let bullies change your opinion" or attack someone on twitter who disagrees with the journalist... It's the film journalists RIGHT to be critical (even though they aren't actual critics), what pisses me off is that the retweet stuff from the crazies that makes the crazies feel validated. Now, those guys on twitter likely have no idea that the people they are retweeting are certifiably insane. I was thinking that I could in a calm, articulate way DM and tweet those two guys the names and twitter handles of the crazies. Basically, drop them a tweet or DM that said, "hey, I just thought you should know that the person you just retweeted is an insane fan who routinely tweets violent, sexist things about RP and KS...they may seem normal in one or two tweets, but if you look at your history you'd be pretty disturbed." Anyone, if anyone would be interested in doing that the journalists are Jeff Sneider and Josh Dickey at Variety.

Did your read White Noise? That was also really good...He is an excellent writter.

Gozde said...

Hi Lily, I haven't read White Noise yet. I appreciate suggestions, I'm always on the look out for something new. Can you tell me a tiny bit what it's about?? Only if you want to. Have you read Shantaram by James Clavell? It's one of my favourites.

Gozde said...

He looks good. Keep safe, dear.

Gozde said...

I have read Shantaram and loved it :) White Noise is probably DeLillo's most famous work besides Cosmopolis...I'm pretty sure that particular novel snagged him several literary awards. It's a completely absurd satire about a college professor at a liberal arts college who is renowned for studying Hitler although he just learned German like a year ago (considering an academic studying German history should read German almost fluently, that's just part of the absurdity)....He has something like four ex wives, a ton of kids, and it's just this really weird novel.

Another really fabulous satire is Absurdistan, by Gary Shteyngart.

Gozde said...

7th pic......Fark!!! how hot can a man look when he is not even trying????? leaning on a car, not giving the paps a hint.......drop dead edible!!

Gozde said...

Hell yeah Sus, I would be 'malfunctioning' in a BIG way!! =)

Gozde said...

Thanks Lily I'm onto it. Great summer reading. Another thing I love about all this Rob stuff is that through the interest that has come alive because of Rob I'm reading books outside of my comfort zone and I've loved them. This is just one more thing to be greatful to Rob/Robsessed for as so many people have been brought together.

Gozde said...

Bye Rob glad you were able to keep under the radar while back in Old Blighty - shame the weather here was crap. The pap that asks him about Thanksgiving - he's English you idiot.

Gozde said...

I think Kristen wears one of Rob's jacket; It suits her very well.; I like the tomboy look on her.
Rob is very nice to look at too, as always. I wish them a nice time in NYC.

Gozde said...

rob is of course gorgeous as per usual, but kristen as of late has been absolutely stunning! such a natural beauty. it's not hard to see why rob is so smitten. i love how real she seems, and i love how rob seems to really appreciate that. love them both and hope they are enjoying their time together!

Gozde said...

same here... in fact that's the only thing on the damn list. it WILL happen!!

Gozde said...

Your remarks about certain-- snigger--journalists/critics were spot on, but why would any anyone with with even just 2 braincells to rub together, put any value on the puerile crap they write? Journalists? my A** . Critics? even more laughable!

Gozde said...

Ha I never noticed that - you're right it does look good on her.

Gozde said...

Sorry to jump in here but I was going to ask if anybody had read White Noise as I have it on my 'to read' list and was checking through it last night ;-) Thanks for the info.

Gozde said...

The pappz weren't as obnoxious but, still say the most idiotic things..."what are you thankful for"...."Rob how was your Thanksgiving"....that one was the dumbest....DUH....he's English they don't celebrate Thanksgiving....twit.

Gozde said...

lol - yeah, I'm sure I'd be dumbfounded and lose all ability to speak.

Gozde said...

I liked the last long gold gown she wore but not the see through things - no need for that, it was not the right choice. IMO

Gozde said...

So glad that he arrived safely. It's kinda cold & nasty here today. Snow flurries & windy which makes it a very good shopping day! Have fun in NYC Rob! Hope you have a nice warm scarf to keep that beautiful neck warm & cozy!

Gozde said...

Did he say he was thankful for being born?? I didn't hear it.
If anything, he'd probably say........I'd really be thankful if you guys would get the fuck outta here. seems like he has said that in some interview before in the past.........that he was thankful he was born.........we are too. Good going Clare and Richard. Wouldn't you love to sit down and talk with them? I'd have tons of questions.
One question I can't believe no one has asked Rob - or maybe they have and I missed it - is.........since you like to write, have you been journalling your experiences over the last 5 years? And would you ever consider writing a book about it that could be a movie later? One person did ask him once - who would you want to play you in a movie about you............and he said........."my son"!! And of course, there was a huge collective Awwwwwwwww in the room.
I hope he does have a son someday. Tom and Sienna's little girl is absolutely adorable.

Since it is just the two of them - how do they arrange for the car to be waiting, the lady to escort them, no baggage claim no waiting anywhere - they keep on the move. Guess they stay on the plane and call people or get the airline service to help them.........what a hassle. Probably never carry any extra bags - only carry on so they don't have to go to the claim area - or they hire someone to do it for them. First class is nice - I guess, I've never flown first class, - and maybe those services come with it?

Does he start the Rover in January? So he has this month off to prepare? It looks like he has more movies lined up than anyone else - I'm sure he's proud of that..........Daddy David C. really gave Rob a boost in the industry didn't he? I hope the academy notices Cosmopolis in some way. The reviews and ratings for BDII are horrible. Why don't the critics ever like what the masses like? I don't get it. They look down their noses at us thinking we're idiots I guess - but I don't care........."we want what we want"...........and WE WANT ROB!!!!! Any way we can get him.

Gozde said...

I'm thankful that Kristen learned a few more things from Rupert

Gozde said...

I met him in New York and he is more handsome in Person

Gozde said...

England has Thanksgiving

Gozde said...

I don't care how many pictures I've seen of Rob, I'm mesmerized every time. They could make a 2 hour film - just picture after picture of Rob - and I'd go see it. I'd camp out for it. Even outside in the kind of rain that Lydia told me about in NYC. And if someone ever puts all his adorable, sexy, adorkable interviews on a DVD...I'm pre-ordering seven, because I'll wear the first 6 out from overplaying them. That whole "personal brand of heroin" thing? I totally get it! Love him!

Gozde said...

and why are they no acting like a couple.....just look at other couples, Andrew and Emma, Ashton and Mila Liam and Miley..why are they never holding hand or smile. I know u deleted my other comment but its OK Rob knows why he is thankful.

Gozde said...

><((((Âş>

Gozde said...

I'm curious, you met him? Are you a famous person, too?

Gozde said...

Many countries celebrate thanksgiving. In Germany it's the first sunday on October. But in Europe it never gained the importance like in the US or Canada.

Gozde said...

Because they do know that a picture like that is gold for the pappz and why the hell should they offer them money for free like that!? There are a lot of pictures of them holding hands, smiling, kissing, but all of them were taken without them knowing that/without their permission. As Kristen said some time ago, their private life is the only think that is only theirs, a sacred think, because all the other aspects of their life is public due the notoriety that Twilight gave to them. By the way, they are not like other couples in Hollywood - they never were and they will never be! THE REAL FANS DO NOT NEED PICTURES OR WORDS TO UNDERSTAND THEIR LOVE! We can see it in their eyes, in the way they speak about each other...thinks that you can relay to when you are also in love with a boy/girl.

Gozde said...

ITA with joy Nell! He is like someone out of this planet kind of thing.

Gozde said...

omg..i think i'm depressed... i cant believe the whole series are over
now.... it makes me cry everytime i think about it....thank you
stephanie for such a great story..story made us all delusional :)) but
it was great experience for me...BTW the last scene in movie where
bella shows edward how much she loved him, that made me cryyyyy like
crazyy..seriously is it just me????

Gozde said...

Well, femroc, you had a lot on your plate LOL. The fact that Cronenberg dared to hire the Twilight boy seems to have made impression on other directors, yes.
I wondered about the airport facilities too. Maybe it's all arranged in advance: when booking the tickets, they order fully support 'till they are in the car. Money opens many doors, also at airports :)
About the bad reception of BDII: nothing new. Many are glad the series is over, that they get rid (sp?) of the Twilight stupidity. EW published a convo between the two critics Owen G and Lisa S. I had expected a very consdescending opinion but in fact they stayed polite and not too negative. Fortunately Lisa S didn't have enough time to explain why she didn't agree with Owen's POV about Bella. I think EW tries to say adieu in a descent way to the franchise that got them a lot of fortune and a lot of criticism. Recently they showed Iron Man 2 on my TV, critical acclaimed and I couldn't bare watching it. I understand there's an audience that likes to look at this kind of movies, but I don't understand that the general opinion doesn't get that there's an audience that likes a classic forbidden love story.

Gozde said...

Thank you ladies, but this is not mine. I'm not talented at all. I just copied and pasted it... I just like to give people flowers in a sign that I like someone.
P.S. I didn't expect it would be so big! LOL

Gozde said...

Wow I love it :)

Gozde said...

Well the saying is the bigger the better LOL;-)

Gozde said...

Bigger the better ;)

Gozde said...

Great minds hey ;)))

Gozde said...

Sorry, but can I ask you about something? I love books, but I never heard of Shantaram written by James Clavell nor I can find anything about that book written by this author. I read Shantaram written by Gregory David Roberts. Fantastic book and an amazing story. Did you mean this book maybe? Or maybe it's not english title of the book that you are talking about? I'll be grateful if someone enlighten me :)

Gozde said...

I want to see how long this relationship will last advertising. The blind as those who do not care about enxegar. This alleged relationship turned into a circus that in a time will catch fire and poor people who think this is real dating, love that exist between them, cuz everything will end up burning. It is all illusion. And the other kristen Rob needs both now trying to clean up his image a little mud that not using the most potent chlorine will be able to clean. It will be marked forever by being a home wrecker and Rob being a cuckold resigned.

Gozde said...

Thanks Neil lets talk about hot sexy RrrrRoberto!! I would definitely camp with you! I have never taken any drugs in all my life, but I do know what it feels like to be addicted to something..lol

Gozde said...

*hohum* are you done? i'm bored...

Gozde said...

I bet they will be holed up in LA from now on. Till he starts with the movie making.

Gozde said...

why do you keep posting this pig latin? i have no clue what the hell you are talking about. you lost me at enxegar? what the hell is that?

Gozde said...

Why do you care? Is it your relationship?

Gozde said...

Honestly, these pappz are so dumb - NO - the Brits don't celebrate Thanksgiving - that's the American's (pilgrims in new country and all that) ! It's not a holiday day or weekend in UK, there is no day off and the only time we have turkey day is CHRISTMAS day! ps we don't have "black friday" either or 4th of July!!!! We do have November 5th Guy Fawkes night - that's when we have our fireworks!

Gozde said...

Because their names are NOT Andrew, Emma, Ashton, Miley, Liam nor hundred of dating couples out there...

Gozde said...

Cuse she's looking for attention. ;-)

Gozde said...

no it doesn't? none of UK does

Gozde said...

Why thank you, I was inspired by some of the ladies earlier :)

Gozde said...

LOL! i feel u...dont understand a thing he/she said

Gozde said...

whooo....ha ha ha .... whew! that was so fucking funny gabriele! you were joking right? no? you were serious? JHC girl!! don't you ever open a fucking history book for chrissakes??

Gozde said...

As far as I know, airports offer special services for VIP´s so they don´t have to go through the normal procedures....
And your question about a journal is excellent! Hopefully someone will pick it up -"Josh, did you hear that?"

Gozde said...

Can you please tell me why you keep visiting this site? I could only assume that you are not a native speaker like me, so you might not be aware with how grave is the nature of your comments. I'm all about respecting opinions, but to call Rob that name? In a site dedicated to him,of all places? What do you get from this?

Gozde said...

bb I wanted to give you kudos for your tireless effort to post insightful comments on other sites too in order to inform and maybe convert "notyetroblovers":) Precious work!

Gozde said...

I'm sure they didn't make the arrangements themselves, if they're on business, then I would think either the studio or their managers would make the arrangements. If it's personal, they both have assistants who probably take care of it, & everything is probably arranged beforehand. I think airports offer special procedures for celebrities not only for their safety, but for everyone else's safety too. If a huge crowd of fans appeared, people could get hurt. I've flown first class, but it's never come with an escort LOL, it usually comes with better food, bigger seats, & free booze. I've also been on flights where the first class lugguge comes out of baggage claim first, so it does have it's rewards. :-)

Gozde said...

Without using a single word you make me smile. Thank you! This bunny is cute! Evokes positive emotions. :-)

Gozde said...

wow!

Gozde said...

Was inspired by your flower earlier :)

Gozde said...

:))

Gozde said...

When I saw this May's (aka Green's) comment without words, my first thought was that I want to show her how much I like it. This flower was waiting for a special occasion, which arrived today :)

Gozde said...

I saw Green's little fish and thought what a perfect way to answer the negative comments without giving them any gratification :)

Gozde said...

He makes even the oldest of us tongue tied - I know I was when meeting him..........!!

Gozde said...

This is exactly the same what I thought. It's clever solution actually! ;)

Gozde said...

Big massive OOOoooppppsss Alex, the author IS Gregory David Roberts, I can't believe I made such a stupid mistake. I'm so sorry. Thanks for pointing it out.

Gozde said...

Oh Alex, this is so beautiful, thank you. Can't tell you how much this makes me happy. I'm very pleased to have you as my friend.

Gozde said...

I shouldn't watch these things. I am sitting here yelling at the pap to leave him alone. The paps should not be allowed to talk to them...well really I don't think they should be allowed to stalk them out of the airport either.

Gozde said...

Because hanging all over each other and kissing in public do not a true relationship make.....

Gozde said...

Is he real thin in person because sometimes when he is sitting beside someone, he looks small in frame.

Gozde said...

People always say that. But he cannot be any more handsome. I would spontaniously combust if he were more handsome. LOL!

Gozde said...

It's Twilight remember and the critics aren't about to give it a good rating. It started off fresh with good critic reviews and then the nater critics got on board and there are more of them then the good ones. None of the movies have had a good rating and they are not about to let the last one have it. That doesn't bother us for we will see it over and over and it will continue to make boo koos of money. I think that pisses them off the most because they know it would have to take millions of fans seeing the movie to make $400 million worldwide in 8 days.

Gozde said...

I so agree about Iron Man and action super hero movies. I have no desire to see them, and don't enjoy them most of the time when I do.

Gozde said...

I was going to say the same thing. Airports bend over backwards for vips and frequent flyers in general. My brother in law travels for work, and has tons of frequent flyer miles on every airline, and he gets perks and special treatment all the time.

Gozde said...

I know, right! It's arrogant too, to just ask him that. Like he should say something. Ugh!

Gozde said...

That's pretty cool!:D

Gozde said...

LOL Americans can be so generous: we celebrate so the whole world celebrates :))
May I ask what Guy Fawkes night is standing for?

Gozde said...

Oh thanks, whence, it's more for fun actually. Sometimes I like to check how people still think of f.e. the Saga but apart from some silly immature replies, there's no interest anymore in discussing the relationship of Bella and Edward and that's good. Last year it was still the opposite.
Cosmopolis that's another thing, there I try to defend the movie or give props to good articles about it. Not that it means one tiny little bit, it's just me, practicizing English LOL
What is striking is that Rob has gotten a lot more credits in the past year: from a wooden, emotionless bad actor he has evolved in the media's eyes to a talented promise for the future. Nice.

Gozde said...

I definitely have read some books I would never had if Rob weren't involved.

Gozde said...

Germany has its own Thanksgiving? I never knew, we haven't in Belgium and I don't think they have in the Netherlands and France either. It'd be nice to have at least one day were people try to be grateful though.

Gozde said...

Guy Fawkes was part of something called the gunpowder plot in the 1600's where they tried to blow up the houses of parliament!! we celebrate its failure on 5th November with bonfires and fireworks.

Gozde said...

i just went back and had another look. you are so right, unbelievable. just to stand there and look like that!!! drop dead gorgeous ahhhhhhhhhh

Gozde said...

I read Owen's review of Breaking Dawn 2 in EW today and he gave it a B and was fair, which Lisa could never be, so that' s a plus right there. I was afraid that they would let her review it(as she has all the others) and was prepared to send off a blast to EW like I did after the others.

Gozde said...

Oh I saw that and wondered the same. It is very long.

Gozde said...

love the cosmop line.....'we want what we want'......I can just picture his sexy mouth saying it ...hmmm (note to self, why haven't I got that DVD yet???)

Gozde said...

Nice,indeed.

Gozde said...

yes she looks so funny :)

Gozde said...

Seriously some (or many) people just dont have common sense. I dont think two people who are both successful and have lots of friends would want to suffer being with someone they dont want to be with (traveling and dining out together) for the sake of publicity. And I saw a comment about Rob turning into Leonardo Dicaprio. I mean really? I don't think so! I mean Rob is not Leo. Leo has dated pretty much all the blonde models and actresses. Success had already gotten into Leo's head even before he was in Titanic unlike Rob. Rob is a down-to-earth person and the support of his family and friends keeps him grounded.

Gozde said...

I hope you're lying (and I wouldn't put it past you) because YOU are the last person who deserves to "meet" or see Rob in person. There are too many more deserving people who are true-blue fans of Rob, not some shit-eater like yourself who insults Rob on a regular basis to the point where your comments had to be deleted on his #1 fansite, which rarely ever deletes comments. Grow up.

Gozde said...

Yes, it's very gratifying to see the change. We all knew Rob has the talent. Thank God for David Cronenberg!

Gozde said...

Thank you :-) And please, don't be sorry. I was just curious if there are two books entitled Shantaram.

Gozde said...

Seriously CRIS,what are you on,you are so far off base it's not funny. Can you please tell me who Rob has been seen with, flying around the world, visiting friends, going to concerts with for the past 4-5yrs?....and you might want to get someone else to translate for you,I have no clue as to what some of your words are.

Gozde said...

Well said Diana.

Gozde said...

You need Help.

Gozde said...

Wow,very clever....

Gozde said...

Many a littel makes a mickle.... so your voice is not unheared!!!! And the change of perception of Rob is noticable :)

Gozde said...

It's more a religious thing. The church is decorated with grain of the harvest and after the church service the parish meets in the hall and there you can buy a lot of self made things and the money is donated to special causes. This is how it works here in the countryside. But it's not a family celebration.

Gozde said...

I agree with you. but if it were true that "real fans" do not need pictures why is it that they love and embrace those pictures. that is the pervers on it. it's like spying on him and then stipping him down completely naked for the internet to see just so the fans get their awww moment....for me they are hypocrits. they pretend to want his happyness, but they only care for their own. to satisfy their need to see him happy....so i agree, you do not need pictures.

Gozde said...

Aha, thanks, Lyn. Tradition is charming. You know what moves me always? The British people wearing poppies on their clothes on November 11 to remember WWI , almost 100 years ago. And, for the same war, the Last Post, played by people of Ypres in Belgium, every evening at the Menen gate since 1928!! Every evening, to honour the countless soldiers that died there. Things like that bonds people, maybe one of the reasons why people at times don't care anymore for each other: the lack of traditions. Don't know though, just wondering :)

Gozde said...

Yes Remembrance day or poppy day is still a big thing in this county which is very important to remember those who died for the life we have now. My husband served in the Royal Navy so it is a big deal in our house. some traditions are very important and should always be passed on. The last post always gives me a shiver and tears !!

Gozde said...

I've read the review too, prepared to react, just as you, but it was a fair review. And... I don't believe always in coĂŻncidence! If Owen liked the movies, why didn't he review them? I guess they chose and divide the movies according to their own interests or knowledge about the subjects. I've read some other reviews of him (f.i. the Cosmopolis review which in fact wasn't one) and I've issues in believing that he likes the themes of the Saga, but as I don't know him, it's just an idea of mine.

I was surprised and not that Lisa didn't review the last installment. As you know she went far over the top last year. She, as a critic, had the right to dislike the movie, but she hadn't the right to abuse her position and impose her own moral visions to her readers. That, together with the general tone of the EW articles about the Saga and its leads, was noticed and criticized on several comment boards (where your and my comments could be find too, I suppose). Plus, these comments led to a buzzy Twitter talk about the hypocrisy of EW, I know that has happened. Probably this didn't mean anything but on the other hand, Summit had to know about that, no doubt. With BDII: no interview with the cast, no new photoshoot and... EW articles much more neutral and less biased.
It was striking that in the convo between Owen and Lisa, he got to say something good about Bella and she "didn't have the time to disagree" LOL. It was a good video though, the way I like.

So, I might as well be talking big nonsense here, but I think they did damage control. Summit has become part of Lionsgate who makes The Hunger Games, the next big franchise that EW is milking just the way they did with Twilight. What if Lionsgate decide to chose another magazine for the scoop of THG part 2? You know what happened with Popsugar after they published the intrusive pap pics? They weren't invited to the premiere. Well, we'll never know but I like to make my own story of it LOL

Gozde said...

Maybe because they miss both of them very much and because, from time to time, you need to know news about a person you love and admire - the same feeling of lost without knowing that one member of your family is ok or not. I do not agree with pappz videos or photos or with the fact that a fan does a picture with both of them and then instantly made it public, but I really think that Rob and Kristen have nothing against a fan telling a story about meeting them in a private place or sharing a photo of them as long as this thing do not harm them. I think we shouldn't put the equal mark between the way pappz act and the way a real fan acts: the pappz are looking only to make money by harassing them/ a real fan is really happy to see them happy and, sometimes, that felling is so overwhelming that they can not resit to share with other fans that feel the same. But I agree that is a really fine line between this felling and the risk of transforming them, without wanting that, in a target for pappz.

Gozde said...

Well, in all my pretension and most of all in my phantasy, I like to believe that Rob has not only read the critics' reviews but also the comments on these reviews and the user's ones on his film boards and maybe even the discussions there, who knows. In that case he has put me a long time ago in the cage of crazies LOL.

Gozde said...

Aha, and why the first sunday of Octobre? Some traditions come with the celebration of a certain saint like we have on December 6, when the children in the Netherlands and the flemish part of Belgium get a lot of toys from Sint-Nicolas, the saint of the children.

Me too, again when I saw it on TV on the 11th, with all the British visitors with the poppies on their jackets. I've been there in Ypres at the Menen gate, reading all the names (almost 55 000!) of the soldiers of the British Commonwealth whose bodies never have been found. I've also visited all the graveyards with the white crosses, the German ones too. You become very very silent, I garantee. The nice thing is that the visitors come from both sides, Germans, British, Belgian people, all united in honouring their loss in an event that never should have happened.
But that is history, we'd better learn from it :)
Now, if Rob would ever play a soldier in WWI, like in an adaption of Sebastian Faulks' "Song from the trenches" (right title?), that would move me even before a saw the first image LOL

Gozde said...

Don't ask me for dates. It's so long ago that I had to learn. I have to ask my youngest, her lessons just begun. And we celebrate Dec. 6th, too.

Gozde said...

You celebrate Saint-Nicolas too? I thought it was a rather local thing and that most countries "used" Santa Claus (which is in fact the same name) on Christmas day to surprise the children. Children here are really spoiled: they get toys on December 6 and December 25 :)

Gozde said...

On the contrary! Maybe you are his secret No 1 fan?

Gozde said...

I don't know about more handsome, but I will tell you that he is even more appealing and endearing in person.

Gozde said...

He's probably thankful that he didn't have to deal with those twits for a few days.

Gozde said...

Oh a girl can dream, why not? But no, there are many others who deserve this title much much more than me and I wouldn't have any problems with that! :))

Gozde said...

Although those outfits were interesting and even beautiful, I don't get why people who value their privacy and who do not wish to be owned any more than is necessary for their work, would expose themselves so much either on film or on 'carpet' or other public viewing. I understand that one's hair is sometimes a prop or accessory when one is an actor, but I do not accept that one's body is. That leaves one with a very disturbed imbalance, a disembodied mind and soul because the body belongs to the public, for public viewing. If a script is good and one is a good actor and has a good director, one does not need to expose parts that are usually covered in order to make a good film. Nakedness ends up being another trick or draw, like CGI or other effects. Let a film rest on its script, actors, and direction. And as for public showing in promotions, etc., why show more skin that makes one more a target and detracts from one's sense of private self?

Gozde said...

Rob's best haircut ever...love it. Makes him look so delicious.

Gozde said...

I know Brel didn't really approve of the change of lyric, but I thought Marieke in "Alive and Well" became an elegy of sorts...a friend of mine was in a revival and so very late I 'discovered' Brel...of course, he's probably a banality for you... ;-)

Gozde said...

It's definitely one of their motivations. But there are so many other stories, Not only the harmless pic sharing. But no one wants to see that. It's always only positive what the loving fans do. Rob and Kristen never mind in their eyes. I think there is enough harm done i could list now (and I don't necessarily mean to make them a target for pappz). But blame is put only on others. I don't think the world works this way. I think most people think when they mean no harm there is no harm. I know they don't mean bad, but it's not enough in my eyes. But I fight a lost fight here. Only a few seem to understand my POV. Sorry for offending, I don't mean to.

Gozde said...

I do really understand your point of view. I repeat, is a very fine line there, and the pappz' target I've mentioned is only an aspect of all this. A line that can be crossed easily because, you are right, lake of responsibility! This thing is genuinely related to self education.

Gozde said...

exactly. and here are so many high educated women, they should know better and don't keep quiet.

Gozde said...

High five lady! I like very much what you say. Diana and you discussed very well. x

Gozde said...

All I can do, as fan of both of them, is to support their journey, love them as they are, defend them in front of the ones that judge them wrong, be happy with whatever make them happy, pray for them to be healthy, to have a family and children one day, to win an Oscar one day and to hope that feelings like mines to reach them every day, so they can feel they are appreciated and loved by many of us beyond words can describe.

Gozde said...

I think you can do more but then i would go in circle now. thanks for the discussion.

Gozde said...

Thanks Mizzzar! Your words are really appreciated.

Gozde said...

anytime! glad to talk to you to!

Gozde said...

sorry if i came off wrong. not my intention. i love Rob and see so much hate and fight around here, invasion of his privacy from fans, pappz and the media and i just tried to express that. i understand your points too and liked your openess to my words. thanks again.

Gozde said...

I also hate all that and that's why I can relay with your opinion, but also I try to understand some fans (not media or pappz ) and their reactions. This think does not mean that I support 100% everything they do, but we must be realistic that this is one aspect that being famous bring, not only regarding Rob and Kristen, but also for all artist. When I said above that this is all I can do, I meant that I can give Rob and Kristen, together or not, all my true love and support and I can assure you this is a huge think because genuinely unselfish love is rare! Thanks to you also!

I had to look it up, APrat but you mean the American musical revue? I never knew there was one. I'm glad you discovered Jacques Brel, he is an icon in France and in Belgium. He is born in Brussels and has sung a few flemish songs though he was french speaking. "Marieke" is one of these songs where he sings a mix of both languages. He loved Marieke between the towers of Bruges and Gand (two very beautiful old cities on a little distance of each other, Bruges you know from the movie with Colin Farrell). One of his earlier songs is "Le plat pays [qui est le mien]" (The flat country[that is mine]). In this song he sings about that part of my country were WWI took place, where the city Ypres is located. Other songs I love very much are "La chanson des vieux amants" (Song for old lovers) and "Ne me quitte pas" (Don't leave me). His lyrics are so beautiful and timeless. He was also a very good actor, in comedies and dramas.
As you see: Brel and banality can't be put in one sentence LOL
So I'm talking with a British lady about the poppies tradition and with an American lady about Jacques Brel, Robsessed is clearly the place to be :))

We are all No 1 fans...;)

It's about celebrating all the earth gives us, thanking for a good harvest after bringing it in and it has not the importance in society as it had once. My parents are from the countryside and when they were young it was celebrated some more but only in church like Green said.

Gozde said...

I guessed it had to do with the harvest but beginning of Octobre seemed to be a bit late for it. It makes sense that these traditions were more important longtime ago. People were more religious and more depending on the goodwill of mother nature. Wish people today would appreciate more what the earth's giving us. Thanks olive :))

Gozde said...

I'm sorry but this sounds like jibberish. I cant understand a word u are saying

Gozde said...

Even without the SHOUTY CAPS I still can't understand a damn thing you're saying. Either learn to make sense or go away.

Gozde said...

Hi Olive, just want to let you know that I finally managed to install the VLC :)))

Gozde said...

Yay, congrats!! See, you just don't have to give up!
Just wanted you to know that I already read your email but had not yet the time to answer. I have had a hell of weekend - work related - and am totally exhausted but everything went well, so it's a good kind of exhaustion.

Gozde said...

That is so true and you're welcome :-)

Gozde said...

No probem Olive, as I said take your time.... and meanwhile the things solve themseves ;) And yeah, I know that feeling of good kind of exhaustion :) rest well!

Gozde said...

i appreciate you point of view, though i thought the sheer nude dress was tastefully worn and the indergarments covered what they needed to. it was actually my favorite look of the week. i say if you've got it, flaunt it. i think valuing privacy in one's personal life is a whole different animal than choosing a revealing outfit for a promo event. i don't think any part of that was inappropriate for the occasion. she looked quite glamourous.
that's neither here nor there though. i mean, how about rob?! that man wins for best dressed ever. period.

Gozde said...

Thank you for your point of view. I hear that a lot--that if you've got it, flaunt it-- but I don't get that. I think it must be at least partially cultural. Even when I was young and of beautiful face and form, I would not flaunt it. I kept myself fairly covered up with layers. I don't understand how valuing privacy in one;s personal life is different from revealing one's body in public, but I do understand that that is the majority sentiment. Yes, I never really noticed men's clothing before I started following Rob. In my culture, the clothing for men is different; sometimes interesting in an exotic way, but nothing like what Rob wears, and I do think it is himself that makes the difference--if any man off the street were to wear what he wears, especially those suits, they would not impress me.

Gozde said...

Personally, I think that if you've really got it, you don't have to flaunt it.

Gozde said...

Thank you. Again, I don't get the 'if you've got it, flaunt it' mentality. It seems to me that you are then dressing for others to see you, to see what you've got. And although I understand that in public appearances one IS dressing for the public to see, I don't think the public needs to see much revealed. I think that Kristen is a very pretty girl and would justice to, and would look gorgeous in, outfits that did not flaunt. But again, I understand that this is not the majority POV.

Gozde said...

:-))))

Bbeanie: Yes, the revue has played all round the english-speaking world, I think. It was really an anti-war statement initially, so some songs were a little rewritten in translation to relate. It ends with If We Only Have Love. I like the songs you mention -- in fact I like nearly all anyway...lol His imagery is so strong, the rhythms compelling but never at the expense of the lyrics, and he wrote songs ranging from Amsterdam to Fanette -- from the carnal to the delicate, but always an underlying melancholy, or irony. I was and am impressed but wondered if maybe Belgians were tired of hearing about him -- relieved they are not...lol (I thought it amusing that he didn't mind if the french sections were changed but didn't want the flemish messed with... ;-D) I'm not actually american but I have been living here so long I may as well be...could say the same about Robsessed, it appears...lol

Gozde said...

Brel is known mostly by older people, the younger generation knows his name, but not much of his music, meanly because he was a French speaking singer and the young generation isn't into the French songs anymore. But he belongs to the select group of artists that never really die, even if he is already dead for a long time. Once in a while there's a revival of his music, other artists who celebrate him in covering his songs. His songs are timeless and as you said often a bit melancholic, they will always find an audience. I'm quite sure that, if he would still live and perform, he would be very popular. I've seen how oldie Leonard Cohen conquered the hearts of all generations, young and old in the past years. Brel would've done the same.
Did you see a movie of him? He made 'L'emmerdeur' with Lino Ventura. It's a bit oldfashioned now but at the time it was hilarious because of his performance, he was a comedien 'pur sang' LOL.
Are your roots in Europe?

Gozde said...

I think he's timeless. I've only seen Mon Oncle Benjamin, which was also a bit rusty but funny, and vids of him singing. I'll see if I can get hold of the one you mentioned. :-) My roots are in the UK and I spent a bit of time in Australia. I have rels in both places.

Gozde said...

And now you're living in the States? Quite a globetrotter, you!! (hope you know the word, we use it to describe someone who has traveled around the globe :) )

Gozde said...

I certainly do, although instead of trotter I use a phrase from My Cousin Vinny.
Vinny: You just keep asking about Chinese food. You gotta let everybody know you're a tourist? Lisa: Yeah well what are you, a fucking world traveler?" That's me...lol

Gozde said...

A fucking world traveler eh?? LOLOL
I admire globetrotters though I'm not one at all and I'm not jealous I'm not. I like to be a globetrotter in the souls of people, never boring, always fascinating and probably a good way to tell myself that my life counts in one way or another LOL.
Don't feel ashamed, APart, Flemish is non-existent for everybody, living outside Flanders and the Netherlands, that's why we are obliged to learn foreign languages :) French is a very difficult language anyway, I can read it quite well, speaking has become worse with the lack of practice, but it's a beautiful language, that's true.

Gozde said...

Well, I won't be so abashed then but think we english-speakers are fortunate it's not the other way about -- would be a lot of mangling otherwise...lol
