Robert Pattinson's "hotly contested" The Lost City of Z coming as soon as Spring 2017 and more!

Robert Pattinson's "hotly contested" The Lost City of Z coming as soon as Spring 2017 and more!

We already know about the Amazon deal but The Hollywood Reporter scored some more 411 about The Lost City of Z distribution and deals while at TIFF this week.

From The Hollywood Reporter:
A week after Amazon Studios picked up North American rights to the hotly contested Charlie Hunnam starrer The Lost City of Z, the streaming giant has closed a deal with Bleecker Street to release the film theatrically.
Sources peg the overall deal, which was brokered by CAA, at a whopping mid-eight figures.
Amazon is putting the finishing touches on the deal with Andrew Karpen's Bleecker Street to release the James Gray-helmed film in spring 2017 -- though the rollout plan is still being worked out. Amazon's Bob Berney will spearhead the marketing and distribution.
The film, which also stars Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson and Sienna Miller, is produced by Brad Pitt's Plan B.

THR also reports that "Bleecker Street, the upstart distributor behind Eye in the Sky and Captain Fantastic, is expected to be an active buyer at Toronto." They have a great article about how Bleecker Street is going to aggressively campaign during awards season for their film, Eye in the Sky. Great movie too. Love to see Rob's film falling in good hands. :)

How Much Robert Pattinson Can YOU Handle?

Can you handle 2 hours of Robert Pattinson as Edward in "Breaking Dawn"?

Ok I hear you there's no need to shout!

I'm glad the answer is an overwhelming YES because according to Wyck Godfrey when he spoke to HollywoodNews.com that's what the runtime is for "Breaking Dawn" Part 1.

Read what else he had to say below about "Breaking Dawn"

And also............ we only have 100 more days to this ;-)
Eeeeek i'm excited but patience is NOT my strong point

HollywoodNews.com was able to sneak in a few Breaking Dawn questions to Twilight Saga producer, Wyck Godfrey, at the Television Critics Association where he presented his new television show, Revenge.

Readers know that Bella’s birth scene will be difficult to show on screen, because of the graphic descriptions of vampire labor. Godfrey said that director Bill Condon has a solid cut of the scene that should land a PG-13 from the MPAA.
“I have seen numerous cuts,” Godfrey said. “I think that process is taking place right now. We don’t have any word yet on the rating but I think we’re going to be okay. We’re releasing it PG-13 and it’s incredibly powerful already. It definitely captures what the book captures.”
Breaking Dawn has been split into two parts in order to fit as much of the book as possible into the movies. Part one should not run any longer than Twilight, New Moon or Eclipse though.
“We’re very close to locking picture on part one,” Godfrey added. “It’s about what the other three are, about two hours. I haven’t seen an assembly for Part 2, so we’ll start to get into it in December.” Breaking Dawn Part 1 opens November 18

8 "Remember Me" Clips (Some New)

The video takes a few minutes to load, be patient! ;-)

You Tube Version For those that couldn't get the vid above to work fully!

With Robert Pattinson’s new movie Remember Me getting ready to open on March 12, we’ve been provided with 8 clips from the film. If you’re the type that loves watching as much footage before a movie comes out, you’ll love these clips. Saying that, I always think movies are better knowing as little as possible, so if you can resist the urge, avoid watching them. I just wanted to give you the option.

And while an embargo prevents me from saying too much about Remember Me, I think it’s safe to say I really enjoyed the movie. I walked in knowing nothing about story except who was in it, and the movie really drew me in and surprised me in a lot of ways. The only thing I really want to stress to all of you is avoid every review and spoiler online. If you know too much walking in, the twists and turns won’t mean as much to you. I didn’t know anything in advance and am happy I had that experience.

Remember Me also stars Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, and Chris Cooper. Allen Coulter directed the film and William Fetters wrote.

Here’s the synopsis:

In the romantic drama Remember Me, Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has had a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan) ever since tragedy separated their family. Tyler didn’t think anyone could possibly understand what he was going through, until the day he met Ally (Emilie de Ravin) through an unusual twist of fate. Love was the last thing on his mind, but as her spirit unexpectedly heals and inspires him, he begins to fall for her. Through their love, he begins to find happiness and meaning in his life. Soon, hidden secrets are revealed and tragedy lingers in the air, as the circumstances that brought them together threaten to tear them apart.
