"Ruby Jerins Is Phenomenal" - Robert Pattinson

From E! Online

Kristen Stewart doesn't quell Robert Pattinson's self-conscious, hair-pulling tendencies.

Neither does Peter Facinelli, Taylor Lautner or Emilie de Ravin. That honor goes to none other than the actor's 11-year-old Remember Me costar, Ruby Jerins.

"She's so easy to act with," Rob tells E! News. "It's the first time since I've been doing acting that I've felt completely un-self-conscious because I could feel that she wasn't at all. That completely rubs off on me."

That's not the only superlative the Twilight hottie had for the girl who plays his little sister.

"She's phenomenal," he continues. "On the first day I met her, me, Allen [Coulter, the director] and Emilie were sitting around discussing our scenes together and she hadn't really said anything. I kind of asked just to be nice. I was just like, 'So, what do you think about it?' And she's sitting there and goes into this whole diatribe about her character's backstory in the most interesting way. And she'd been writing notes on all the stuff we were saying and was quoting what we were saying to us."

"She's incredible," Emilie agrees, admitting that she and the child star have remained pen-pals over email. "She's just amazing in the film and she's a very, very smart girl. You can just watch her and you can forget what you're meant to be doing."

So could she be the next big child star like Rob's New Moon pal, Dakota Fanning?

"She's going to be a massive actress I think," he says. "She's the best improviser I've ever met. You can literally say anything to her and she'll completely stay in character."

And yet, much to Rob's surprise and chagrin, the Nurse Jackie starlet is still totally a kid.

"She's this hyper-intelligent, hyper-mature kid but I saw her play, and she's like a little girl when you see her with her friends. I don't understand how that happens at all."

"There's something about her—one of those indescribable things," Emilie says.

(Kate: And here are some pics of Rob being a gentleman. Is it wrong that I'm jealous of Ruby? )

Robert Pattinson "Remember Me" Promo News

As we all know by now, Robert Pattinson will be on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon March 1 and The View March 2 to promote his new, nonvampire flick Remember Me.

But how much more press he'll be doing around the time of the film's release is probably going to be limited to not much else...

While he'll be in New York City the last week of February for the press junket and is expected to attend the big premiere on March 1, he has to get back to Europe sooner rather than later to continue filming Bel Ami.

When asked if there is a chance Pattinson would be hosting Saturday Night Live, like Taylor has done already, our insider said, "I can't imagine he could. Maybe he can make a cameo, but to host you need about a week to rehearse."

Pattinson's Remember Me costar Emilie de Ravin will pop up on The View with him, but she'll probably do a publicity push in Toronto without him.

As we first told you, Pattinson and de Ravin shot a fashion spread at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for an upcoming issue of Vogue.

Although we're hopeful Rob will be able to squeeze in some more television appearances for Remember Me, don't fret too much. We hear Summit is planning another gangbusters promotional tour for the June release of Eclipse.

Andy Samberg "Twilight Makes Me Jizz"

Andy Samberg: "Twilight Makes Me Jizz"
Today 5:49 PM PDT by Marc Malkin

Don't be surprised if Justin Timberlake shows up at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.

His Saturday Night Live buddy and frequent collaborator, Andy Samberg, will make his debut as host of this year's big golden popcorn get-together. "I'm calling in all the favors I can," Samberg told me earlier today while prepping for the show at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City.

He said of a potential Timberlake appearance, "We're trying very hard to deliver on that."

I have much more for you from Samberg. Read on for talk about Twilight, Susan Boyle and, of course, "Dick in a Box."

Will we see your "Dick in a Box" on the show? How about some "Jizz"?
I swear to you: It's still up in the air.

Your "Dick in a Box" is still up in the air?
My dick is off my body, it's in a box, and that box is floating in space.

I have to tell you that my dream headline for this story is: "Andy Samberg: 'Twilight Makes Me Jizz!' "
Do you want me to say that?

Yes.
Twilight makes me jizz, man. But will you include that you asked me to say that?

Yeah—I forced Andy Samberg to jizz. OK, how many times have you seen Twilight? I've seen Twilight once. But I've seen scenes from Twilight many times in my dreams. You know what I mean? In a lot of ways I see Twilight constantly every day, because once you see it, it stays with you forever.

When I reported that the Movie Awards will include a first look at New Moon, fans went crazy. People are insane about it.
They love playing baseball! What's not to love? If you told me that we were going to make this movie about vampires that are really, really good at baseball, I would say, "Sign me on!"

Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob?
Edward all the way.

Why is that?
He's steamy!

See, I didn't ask you to say that!
I never root for the underdog. I always root for the crowd favorite. Big Yankees fan, big Manchester United fan.

Should Robert Pattinson Worry About Bad Reviews?

Critics remain way underwhelmed by Robert Pattinson's channeling of artist Salvador DalĂ in Little Ashes. Call it a lack of—tee hee—sparkle. A few were impressed—the London Daily Express calls Pattinson's take "a spirited performance." But most agree with MTV's Kurt Loder, who says, "As soon as Pattinson steps forth with DalĂ's famous up-twirled mustaches pasted to his face, the picture collapses."
Well, meow to you, too.

That isn't necessarily bad news for Pattinson fans, however, especially if you're open to a long-term love affair...

Despite the mixed reviews, veteran casting directors are calling Pattinson's choice in films brilliant, especially if he wants a long career.

"Tween girls buy movie tickets but don't win you Oscars," says casting exec Lisa Hamil, who worked on The Notebook and Alpha Dog as well as the new film One-Eyed Monster. "Hollywood is very quick to typecast, and once that happens, an actor's career can flatline."
Here's where tweenie fans may feel a bit of panic.

"All of us would still attempt to cast him in tween roles, but I'd be shocked (and a little disappointed) if he took another one," Hamil reveals. "It's the same reason Daniel Radcliffe did Equus. These guys are in it for the long haul and have learned this elemental truth: You grow up with your audience."

In other words, once the Twilight franchise wraps, kids, don't look for Pattinson in another teen-candy role. Even vampires need to grow up sometime.
