The Abs: Are They or Aren't They The Real thing?

According to popcrunch.com and Star Magazine Rob's abs are fake! Dum Dum Dum!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Do we really care? Nah! Not in the slightest. We like joking about how we wanted Robward shirtless but we loved him before the abs and we'll love him with a beer belly :) ROBsession isn't skin deep...

From popcrunch:

Sorry, Tweeners, Robert Pattinson’s washboard abs have been pegged as phonies.

The Twilight heartthrob — considered one of the hottest men on Earth right now — left fans swooning when he went shirtless while taping a number of scenes for the upcoming sequel New Moon in Italy last month. But according to Star Magazine, Pattz’ six-pack is missing a few cans. Set spies say the 23-year-old Brit achieved perfected his look with the help of modern makeup.

“Rob had a team of makeup artists working on his stomach to make it appear as if he had a six-pack,” spills one set source. “Rob is definitely not that in shape,” the informant adds. “He hates the gym and will never really be a muscle man!”

How did professionals manage to create the illusion that Rob has chiseled, ripped abs?

“They used all the tricks — including liquid body paint, shading, and airbrushing — to make his torso look toned,” according to Star’s unidentified Twilight informant. “Whenever they stopped filming, Rob would duck back insider to get touched up by the makeup team.”

And that’s not all: “The lighting team helped as well, creating the perfect way to accentuate the shading and highlights.”

Thanks to RobPattzNews for the link :)

Although we don't care if they are real it's still nice to look at so thanks to Corr for these pictures :) And we once again volunteer to inspect them and report if they are real or not ;)

Sam Bradley is REALLY Funny :)

This is my 2nd post with Sam Bradley is Funny title :) First oOne of the Twilight Moms interviewed Sam in Los Angeles. It's a good/cute interview. Here are the parts with Rob and you can read the whole thing over at Twilight Moms.

TM: So, the writing process for you? What normally comes first, the melody or the lyrics? Is there a formula?

Sam: It depends on the song. There’s no specific way I sit down and write. Depends on the mood. Depends on if I have my guitar with me.

TM: Is there a time of day that’s a little more…

Sam: The morning. When you first wake up, well for me, you can reflect.

TM: On something you dreamt about, maybe?

Sam: Yeah, exactly. It could be something you dreamt about yesterday, something you dreamt about a month ago, a couple of years ago. The morning for me is the freshest. My father’s a morning person and I think I am, too.

TM: That’s unusual [for a musician]. So, you wrote Never Think with Rob and then you guys went two different directions in recording it.

Sam: Didn’t we just?

TM: How did that happen and is there an original version?

Sam: I’d say that when we were writing it, it was probably closer to “Too Far Gone” but I think Rob could play it differently every time. He’s obviously a very talented musician.

TM: Very, although I like your version a lot, too.

Sam: Thank you. Yeah, it’s different. It’s really cool. I’m really proud of my version and I’m proud of his version. I think it’s a really nice, interesting thing to have such a simple and pure song to sound so different, and have almost two different meanings just in the feeling of the song and the way it was recorded. I’m going to record “Too Far Gone” again because the version I have is a demo. So, I’m going to record that again and I’m excited to see how that turns out.

TM: As a song writer working with someone who changes the style a little each, does that inspire you or make you say, “Wait a minute! We were doing it this way”.

Sam: It inspires me. I can follow just fine. It’s a deeper connection. It’s never a shock so…(laughs)

TM: So you can roll with it. That’s good. (laughs)

TM: So, how did you meet Rob?

Sam: I was working at the zoo and I was taking care of the chinchillas, obviously,. That was my division. And Rob was looking after the zebras. That’s it right? You say zebras [strong e] not zebras [soft e]? He was looking after the zebras and there was a lot of feces involved… a lot of scooping, and we were both on our break which is very rare…very rare (smiling) that we get a break at the same time but we met and we talked. I talked about my chinchillas and he talked about his zebras. You know, I wanted to transfer. I’ve always liked rhinoceros and all of the sudden a giraffe with a guitar in its mouth dropped it in my arms and then Simba, the lion, came over and gave Rob a harmonica and a guitar and all of the sudden, bam! Song. Yeah, and I think we were…how old were we? We were working so I guess we were 54 at the time? (Gozde: LMAO! I think I just fell in love :))

I met him at school (laughs)

TM: How old were you when you met him?

Sam: 12

(both laugh)

TM: That was a good story! I loved it! (Gozde: Delayed reaction much?:))

Sam: I like that one. I’m going to keep that one. (laughs)

TM: I understand you were flat mates. What was it like being roomies?

Sam: Well, we were in a zoo (laughs). It was cool, ya know. We were friends. I should imagine it would be like being a flat mate with … Did you ever have a flat mate?

TM: Yes, once.

Sam: How was that for you?

TM: I’m a little too Type A so it didn’t work well. (laughs) I’m much better on my own.

Sam: It was a creative environment, is what we had…a creative environment with not much furniture and a TV with a Play station.

TM: It had all the important stuff

Sam: Yeah…I mean the TV with the Play station came later but it was cool. I think about that place everyday. It was a really, really cool place. It was right in the heart of London, as well so the world seemed like out oyster.

TM: Sounds like something from a Dickens story

Sam: (in a very high pitched voice) It was like a scene out of Dickens!

(both laugh)

TM: So what was it like to see Twilight for the first time and hear your music in it?

Sam: Ya know, I got to go with a couple of friends and so when the song came on my hand was squeezed pretty tightly and…I was proud. That was an odd thing seeing your friend nine thousands times bigger than he is in real life. Big face on the big screen sort of thing. It’s cool. I just felt happy to be part of it.

TM: It’s [the twilight phenomenon] pretty massive.

Sam: Yeah it is, and it really has helped me.

TM: At the L.A. premiere, you got a taste of how exuberant the Twilight fans can be. Has your connection to the Twilight universe been a blessing or a curse?

Sam: I only look at blessings so like I said before, I’m just happy to be playing to people and whether they are connected to Twilight or Tom Cruise or whatever it is, it doesn’t matter because it’s them and me and I’m just lucky to have people come out and it’s not Team Edward or team Jacob. It’s my night and it’s their night and I try to make it the best it can be.

TM: You are slated to play TwiCon with Bobby long and Mark Foster. Are you nervous?

Sam: Am I nervous? No, I haven’t had a breath to be nervous yet. I think when I arrive in Dallas and I turn up at the hotel…(laughs)

TM: You’ll start to feel all of that teen electricity?

Sam: Do you think there will be a lot of teens?

TM: Yeah, there will be a lot of teens there. It’s not a 21 and over crowd.

Sam: It’s going to be interesting. I’m really looking forward to it. To meet lots of people is the idea and try to connect with as many people as possible.

TM: What sort of music did you grow up listening to?

Sam: I grew up listening to soul music…and reggae and country…and folk.

TM: Is there any particular artist that did it for you?

Sam: Yes (laughs) I really love Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Gregory Isaac, Tom Waite, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, (smiles) Bobby Long, Rob Pattinson.

TM: What was it about those artists that did it for you?

Sam: Honesty…these artists were very honest and very raw and I like that.

TM: It comes across in your music, as well. It has a very raw quality to it.

Sam: I hope so, yeah.

TM: Sea Blue is a great song. That and Paradise. Very gut-wrenching.

Sam: Thank you.

Sam: Paradise is an old song. I thought I was never going to play that one again. But people heard it…. I guess I put it up…and yeah, Paradise is a nice one.

TM: It’s lovely

Sam: Thanks

TM: What took you to Vancouver from the UK?

Sam: My mom. My mom is Canadian. She’s from Ottawa, actually. We went on holiday, and she tricked us, me and my sister, into moving. She asked if we wanted to go look at a house and I said, “Yeah…OK Let’s go look at a house. Wow, this house is way nice than the one we have in England. OK…shall we move?” Oh, but my job at the zoo! Whatever will I do?”(laughs) Yeah, so we moved and Vancouver is a beautiful city. It’s a lovely city.

TM: Do you intend to keep Vancouver as your home base?

Sam: I don’t think I’m going to have a home base. I think my home base is in people, not really a place. I’m going to have my few possessions there, like my sofa which is pretty much my bed. It’s cool.

TM: I was going to ask when we can expect an album out but I noticed some people walking around with CD’s last night?

Sam: Maybe they purchased those at some of the other shows. It’s an old EP that I made when I was just starting. I had only been playing guitar for just under a year and I got to make an EP and I didn’t really know what I was doing. I still don’t really know I’m doing (smiles) but I’m a little more experienced now. But as far as the EP goes, it’s like three years old. I printed a couple of thousand and now they’re all gone and I don’t think I’m going to make them again. That part is over.

TM: So no more records. That’s it. (laughs)

Sam: No, of course more records. I just meant as far as that EP goes.

TM: So when should we expect the new CD?

Sam: Next month or so. Maybe two months. Not too far away.

TM: If you could jam with any artist, living or dead, who would it be?

Sam: I’d definitely choose a dead artist. Today my answer is…Johnny Cash.

TM: What songs are on your personal play list?

Sam: “Closer” by Kings of Leon, It Could Have Been Me by Ray Charles, and 14 Times by Marcus Foster.

TM: Are there ay songs on your playlist that you would be embarrassed for people to know about?

Sam: Absolutely not. I’m a pretty open individual. When I jam out to my Brittany Spears, that’s cool.

TM: Jamming to Hannah Montana?

Sam: I don’t actually know much Hannah Montana music but she’s got a good voice (does a brief imitation)

TM: Ok… we’re going to do a little Inside the Actors Studio/James Lipton sort of thing.

Sam: OK

TM: What’s your favorite word?

Sam: Remorse

TM: Why’s that?

Sam: (smiles) Because it’s the first word that came to me.

TM: You’re least favorite word?

Sam: Like

TM: You’re favorite sound?

Sam: My favorite sound? (slaps his left cheek)

TM: (laughs) Your least favorite sound?

Sam: (slaps his right check and laughs) (Gozde: I am really in love :))

TM: What is your favorite Dr. Seuss book?

Sam: Green Eggs and…I don’t know.

TM: What question have you never been asked that you wish someone would ask?

Sam: (laughs) That one.

TM: That was great. Thank you!

Sam: You’re welcome!

Stephen Moyer: I get the Robert Pattinson leave-offs

Stephen Moyer tells Variety:

"I get the Robert Pattinson leave-offs," Moyer says with a laugh, referring to the young star of the hugely popular "Twilight" vampire movie franchise. "The ones who get to a certain point and think he's a boy. There's the Pattinson gang and the Moyer gang."

Gozde: There is a Moyer gang? Rob auditioned for True Blood and didn't get the part so it's only fair Stephen gets his left overs :) I am undecided on how I feel about Rob not getting the part due to the R rated nature of True Blood. I do love Edward but man True Blood is HOT! :)

Rob Thinks He Can Get in Disguise :)

From MetroNews.ca:
Robert Pattinson melted the hearts of many when Edward Cullen first appeared on screen in Twilight. The young actor is back in New Moon, but still admits he is shocked with the phenomenon Twilight has turned into. Pattinson sat down with Metro to talk about New Moon, his own success, and his character.

How is the filming going?

It’s great. To be honest, I am surprised at how relaxed it is. I was really nervous before we started because there’s so much expectation now. But with this team, everything seems to work really well. Everyone knows each other. It’s one of the most relaxed jobs I’ve ever worked on. It’s really strange. It’s going really well so far.

Last time we spoke, you told me that you still walked in the street without anyone recognizing you. I’m assuming that’s changed now.

I don’t walk in the street anymore, and when I do, I’m in disguise. (laughs) It’s actually a relief being back at work.(Gozde: Newsflash Rob, the hoodie and the ray-bans are hardly a disguise ;) It actually draws more attention. Try a pink wig next time :))

Were you surprised that Twilight became such a phenomenon?

It never ever fails to shock me. Even here. Yesterday, there were 300 people outside the set. It’s just crazy. Every day, every single person I meet knows someone who has a very strong attachment to the books. It’s very difficult to put your head around. I can go through customs at any airport in the world — every customs agent is like, ‘Can I get an autograph for my daughter?’ Every single time! It’s crazy! I just hope it doesn’t change the way I think and stuff.(Gozde: Again, newsflash, people are attached to YOU now not the book)

Which is your favorite motion picture vampire of all time?

I always liked the original Nosferatu. I watched 30 Days of Night recently. I thought it was really good. But I wouldn’t say that I was a vampire fan.

You must be offered a lot of roles now. How are you making your choices?

I judge things purely on the script. I’m booked up for this year. I’ve been doing the most different things you can possibly imagine. Every part is so different. I can’t say any of the parts I’m doing — they haven’t been finalized yet. But I don’t pick them in terms of genre; purely the script. If I like the script and I like the part, then that’s all that matters.

Are there differences in your preparation to play Edward?

I feel very familiar with the character. I’m a ghost, a figment of Bella’s imagination. I’m not really playing Edward. I’m playing a kind of disrupted memory, which is really strange. I’m trying to play him as if Edward’s constantly thinking that things are going to fall apart. It’s this idyllic relationship on the top. I’m very, very close to the surface. He’s so insecure about everything.

And from yesterday's Kristen Stewart interview:

How would you describe it to someone who hasn’t read the books or seen Twilight?

Anybody who’s ever been broken up with will probably watch this movie, and their temperature will probably go up.(Gozde: Our temperature goes up for another reason :))

How do I describe this? It’s a movie about ultimate devotion being ripped from you and thinking that your entire world that you’ve established is wrong. And then trying to get it back and realizing that it’s all OK. (Laughs) And vampires, werewolves, too, so that makes it even more exciting. Robert Pattinson is just so cute. So is Taylor Lautner. That’s what I would tell someone who doesn’t know about the movie yet.

Once again, thanks to Stella and Lynda for the tip :)

Five excuses to make Robert Pattinson an honorary Irishman

Meghan Sweeny at Irish Central has listed the 5 Excuses to Make Rob and Honorary Irishman ;) Their photoshop skills are definitely better than mine. The picture is priceless :)))

blog post photo

The latest RPattz news? The "Twilight" star will play Irish actor Pierce Brosnan's son in the new movie, "Remember Me."

So how does Robert Pattinson's Irishness stack up next to County Meath-born Pierce Brosnan's?

Pretty well, according to all of us at IrishCentral, where we've decided to dub the vampire hottie an honorary Irishman (hey, it was Irishman Bram Stoker that wrote legendary vampire story "Dracula" anyhow).

Here are our top five excuses for calling Pattinson "Irish":

1. He idolizes legendary Irish singer Van Morrison

In fact, Pattinson is such a Van fan that he's dying to play him in a biopic (that is, if any studio ever decides to make one). He told MovieFone: "I'd love to play Van Morrison, but I doubt I would get the part." *Sigh* modest as always.

2. He claims to look like an "old, Irish alcoholic"
We established this when we posted bits from an RPattz interview with Metromix where he was asked why he stood out among the thousands of actors who auditioned for the role of Edward Cullen in "Twilight." Pattinson's answer: While most guys looked like "Greek gods," "I looked kind of like an old, Irish alcoholic." Amazing.

3. His last name is derived from St. Patrick, patron saint of Ireland

The surname "Pattinson" is a patronymic form of the name "Pat," from "Patrick," which was chiefly used in Ireland and Scotland, and eventually spread to England, where the "Twilight" star is from. The popularity of the name came from the prominence of St. Patrick, 5th Century Apostle of Ireland. See, even history says RPattz has Irish roots.

4. He hangs out with IRELAND Baldwin
Photographic evidence, people:

blog post photo

Yeah, this is a stretch, but hey! Ireland Baldwin is named after the Emerald Isle, and she's Irish-American (dad Alec is an Irish Catholic).

5. Irish fans are petitioning for Pattinson to visit their country

Over 6,500 Irish (most likely teenage) Irish Pattinson fans have signed an online petition to bring their dreamboat across the pond to Ireland.

One petition signer comments: "hey ! Rob if you ever see this i just want to say everyone loves you in ireland. all you hear is people talking about you." About 10 other comments included the statement: "I would die if he came to Ireland."

Proof! According to the Irish themselves, Robert P. is most definitely qualified to be an honorary Irishman!

The official plea states: "Please Please sign! Help us get Robert Pattinson to Ireland.....he only lives across the pond!! Please.

"You don't need to be from Ireland to sign this petition but we need all the help we can get! We will help you in the future."

Desperate much? Nah - Ireland just has a lot of really enthusiastic RPattz fans, kind of like IrishCentral!

Robert Pattinson Day in the UK Gets BETTER

That's it! I am moving to UK. I mean I love men with British accents, I love rain and I love Indian food (just kidding:)) so why the hell not?

The makers of a short starring Robert Pattinson, THE SUMMER HOUSE, which is currently doing the film festival rounds prior to its public release, have very kindly put together a short behind-the-scenes featurette especially for our Robert Pattinson Day on Saturday 20 June. Robert Pattinson Day in The UK - June 20th

Thanks to Picture House Cinemas for hosting this wonderful event. Can you handle 3 Rob movies back to back? Well if you visit our site religiously then you probably can :))

Article by Gabriel at Picture House Blog:

The last to hear about Robert Pattinson

What began as a relatively unambitious programming idea at our cinema in York – a triple bill of films with a particular actor as the common link – has exploded into something of a national event.

The Guardian Guide_2-8 May 2009_Cover

20th June 2009 is now officially ROBERT PATTINSON DAY at Picturehouse Cinemas. I don’t think any of us had any idea how much of a star this Pattinson guy was. For the uninitiated (and there are probably only two of you out there now), Robert Pattinson is the young British actor who played Cedric Diggory in a couple of Harry Potter films. No? He played Art, a struggling musician who convinces the author of a self-help tome to come and live with him and his folks in HOW TO BE. Not that one either?

What about last month’s LITTLE ASHES, an arthouse pic that explores the relationship between Salvador DalĂ and the poet Federico GarcĂa Lorca. He plays DalĂ. Still no? Well that, plus a couple of bad adverts, is pretty much the extent of Pattinson’s CV.

Oh, and TWILIGHT of course, last year’s blockbuster in which Pattinson plays Edward Cullen, a sultry sexy vampire, adapted from Stephanie Meyer’s best-selling novel. I must confess to missing this when it first opened. The books (Twilight is a saga with the second novel, New Moon, being adapted for the screen at the moment) have over 17 million readers worldwide. Yup, I missed them too.

Shortlist 30th April

Robert Pattinson’s star is currently stratospheric, and climbing. He’s been parked at the number one spot in IMDB’s STARmeter which is based on internet searches, and is never far from the top spot in the Celebrity Heat Index. TWILIGHT cleaned up at this year’s MTV Movie Awards too, winning Best Movie. Pattinson won Best Breakthrough Male while his co-star, Kristen Stewart, won Best Female Performance, and together they won the all-important Best Kiss.

So back to 20th June and what our cinema in York is calling the “Rob-O-Rama”: TWILIGHT, HOW TO BE and LITTLE ASHES will screen back to back throughout the day. The response to announcing this event was so incredible in York, with some fans planning to travel staggering distances to be there, that we decided we better add four more cinemas to cover the length and breadth of the land.

ROBERT PATTINSON DAY is happening simultaneously in Aberdeen, Southampton, Liverpool, York and Clapham in London. Our Phone Room reports a large percentage of Clapham’s bookings from as far as Herfordshire, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex.
Liverpool has people attending the event from Yorkshire, Sale and Chester while Aberdeen reports of people travelling from Glasgow and Airdrie. Pattinson fans from as far as Bristol, the Isle of Wight and Chichester are travelling to Southampton. But York outdoes them all with one fan traveling all the way from Austria.

Total Film_June 2009

However, York was seen as a step too far for a fan in the United States who wrote on a website, “I want to go!!!!!!!!! Damn me for living in STUPID California!!!!!!” Talking of fan websites, there are some hilarious comments on some of the blogs out there. Read the comments at the bottom of the post on RobsessedPattinson.com.(Gozde: Hey, you guys are famous now :P Your comments are being read :)) It isn’t just Robert Pattinson fan websites that picked up this event however: German news site Bild.com picked it up, as did GQ.

So if you don’t know who Robert Pattinson is and you’ve read this far, you clearly have too much time on your hands and a “Rob-O-Rama” triple bill is perfect for you. If you do know of Robert Pattinson and are a fan then I should add that there are some special prizes at each venue that include signed posters by the man himself and mysterious goody bag.

Tickets are going fast with all the timings and booking information available on each cinema homepage via www.picturehouses.co.uk

See you there!
