German TV Station Tele 5 Interview with Robert Pattinson

Pattinson Online has the translated interview from German TV Station Tele 5. Since I don't want to "borrow" (ehem) their work, I posted 3 questions below and you can read the whole thing HERE. It is VERY interesting!

Q: In your next movie you play the young Savador Dali who was bi-sexual. Did you have problems playing such a role?
A:It was odd and something new to kiss a guy in this movie. But it was very amusing too (laughs). But I wouldn’t call Dali bisexual. He was rather asexual with all his neurosis concerning sex. He was a very contradictory and conflicting person, with his sexuality as well as his emotions.

Q: Why did you pick that role?Did you want to get away from you image as the new teenidol?
A: I did the Dali movie before I did Twilight. I don’t try to change a certain image or to gain another. I played the part because the script was very interesting. I didn’t think about my image or the future.

Q: For the movie (Twilight) you also recorded 2 songs which are featured on the soundtrack. Are you planning a career as a rock star?
A: Not anymore. I wrote those songs a year ago with a friend of mine. Back then I was considering giving up acting and instead work as a musician, but then the Dali film came and then Twilight shortly after, and Twilight has become so huge. So I think I’m gonna give up on my childhood dream of being a musician and just continue acting for now. (Gozde: I heard a collective "Awwwww")

Natali translated the parts with Rob for us. Thanks so much :)

Were your friends jealous that you worked with Robert Pattinson?
I don't have a lot of friends.

Could you fall in love with a vampire?
Maybe. They are dangerous but at the same time you feel like you can help them in a certain way they make you feel special (?)..

Have you ever felt that with someone?
No, not with Robert. But with some friends who i wasn't in love but there was something special about them (??)

(Then they talk about their scene on the tree...)

You and Robert are not together, but in Twilight you have to act like you are in love. Isn't it hard to play?
Not for me, because we were together all the time. I almost became a bit schizophrenic, but you have to try separate your personal life from your professional life...

Robert Pattinson misses Patty Pattinson

Sorry I can't call her a dog. Patty Pattinson is just too tempting a name :)
From TheImproper.com:

Twilight star Robert Pattinson has skyrocketed to international stardom, thanks to the vampire romance's runaway box office, but he's still just a regular guy at heart.

"I miss being able to go for a walk," Pattinson, 22, told Sweden's Frida magazine in a new interview. "I miss the smell of London...I almost cried because I missed it so much. And I miss my dog [Patty]," he says.

While the handsome 6'1" British hunk lives in Los Angeles these days for professional reasons, his setup there is surprisingly makeshift.

"I haven’t moved [to L.A.] for good," says Pattinson. "I live in a rented apartment where all of the furniture is rented."

Meanwhile, Rob—who recently dropped out of the indie flick Parts Per Billion—is busy with pre-production on New Moon, the highly anticipated sequel to Twilight.

Pattinson will begin shooting New Moon in Vancouver in March. The sequel will be filmed back-to-back with Eclipse (2010), the third installment in the best-selling Twilight book series.

Twilight, which has raked in a staggering $279 million worldwide since its Nov. 21 U.S. release, will keep Rob super-busy until at least 2010. The hectic activity will leave the single Rob little time for dating.

As it is, Pattinson, who has described himself as a loner, likes to keep his personal life quiet—and private. "There’s just a few persons who are worth your time," says Rob.

"Plus, I’m always moving around and that’s a problem," he adds. "I would rather stay at home doing some creative than [go out] just to talk some crap."

New Moon hits theaters in November 2009.
