Twilight Star Robert Pattinson Outshines Hugh Jackman
Hugh Jackman may have been the star of Oscar evening, but when it comes to Japan, the bigger draw is Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson.
At Narita International Airport Monday evening, both actors arrived in Tokyo on the same flight, but it was the British dreamboat who got the crowd cheering.
"Hundreds of screaming fans greeted him when he got off the flight," says a source.
Always a gentleman, an overwhelmed Pattinson stopped to sign autographs and greet some lucky fans.

Natalie Portman gets "Closer" to Rob

Since we brought you the horrendous news of Courtney Love and Paris Hilton being after Rob I thought we should also bring you the gossip of a talented and classy woman getting friendly with Rob. From Mtv.com:
Robert Pattinson may have been a bit freaked out about the prospect of presenting at the Oscars, but rumor has it that the "Twilight" star found the perfect way to unwind later Sunday night: by flirting with Natalie Portman.
"[Portman] seemed really into him and went right up to say hello once she spotted him," a Pattinson pal told E! Online after they were spotted talking to each other at the famed Vanity Fair Oscar Party. The friend added that "whiskey and Natalie Portman" helped the young star deal with his nerves.
Although Pattinson and Portman, who could possibly be a closeted Twilighter, were seen chatting it up at the party, Pattinson reportedly went home all by his lonesome (much to the relief of Team Edward members the world over).

According to people.com Rob will be at the Kids' Choice Awards which will take place on March 28th in Los Angeles :)

Some people watch the Oscars looking for Brad and Angelina, Jack Nicholson in the front row, or the annual musical tributes to the past year in film. Sunday’s ceremony, however, brought a new star to the game: Robert Pattinson.It was a blast watching the “Twilight” heartthrob navigate the red carpet this year for one main reason: He’s still a normal guy. Yes, an abnormally good-looking normal guy, but Robert is every bit as self-deprecating, easily embarrassed, and endearingly sincere as any of us would be during our first time at an Oscar ceremony – and let’s hope no matter how big he gets, he stays that way.
Of course, for all the Twilighters out there, every shot of Mickey Rourke in the audience meant one thing: Rob could be glimpsed over the Oscar nominee’s right shoulder. Like an angel whispering in Mickey’s ear, RPattz sat there in his classy, old-school tux, looking as much like a star from yesterday as he did a star from tomorrow.
And then there was the hair.
“Maybe,” he told us on the red carpet when we asked if he was letting his locks grow long again. “I mean if it grows any more; if it keeps going.”
If there’s one thing Twilighters know, it’s that Rob’s hair is as endless, raw and carefree as his acting style. It appears as though we’ll be seeing our old buddy Edward again real soon, when “New Moon” begins filming next month.
