From HelloMagazine.com
Granting the wish of many ladies across the globe, film bosses are giving fans the chance to star alongside their idol, Robert Pattinson.

For his next film, producers have put out an open casting call looking for extras.

The Twilight heart-throb is starring alongside Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon in Water for Elephants, based on the historical novel by Sara Gruen.

Producers have posted a serach for "Caucasian men with very 1930s looking period faces," "African American men with short 1930s period haircuts" and "Caucasian women (Kate: Check) with shoulder length hair or shorter,(Kate:WHAT? I've just spent the last year growing it, couldn't I wear a wig or something? Oh go on then I'll cut it, just for you Rob! But I'm not going any shorter than shoulder length!) size 6 or smaller ". (Kate: Huh? Are you taking about the size of my thighs? If that's the case then CHHHHECK! Right off to book a flight for tomorrow!)

Casting will be held on April 17 in LA and the movie is due for release in 2011.

If you happen to tick all of the above requirements (then I hate you !!!) and would like to apply for this (there's a few more requirements to meet as well) then have a look HERE

Thanks to Pam and everyone else that sent us the info!

UPDATED with more info:
So what are extras and what is expected of them on a film set?

-An extra, also called a background actor, is a performer in a film, television show, stage, musical, opera or ballet production, who appears in a nonspeaking, nonsinging or nondancing capacity, usually in the background (for example, in an audience or busy street scene).

-Extras get very few details when called to take on a role from their chosen agency and full details are given the night before the actual shoot. They are given their part, a call time, location and guidance on what to wear for that part.

-Extras expect long days and long periods of waiting around. Some extras may be used very little or sometimes not at all, even if they are on set all day.

So the reality is you won’t be starring with Robert Pattinson or Reese Witherspoon in Water for Elephants but you may in fact get a glimpse of them if you’re lucky!
