Edward feels like the world has been taken away from him and he's figuring out a way to take it back. ;)

Robert Pattinson talks the state of cinema in America, Cosmopolis and Eric Packer: "He's so determined to be God"

Robert Pattinson talks the state of cinema in America, Cosmopolis and Eric Packer: "He's so determined to be God"

Oh my goodness I love when Rob gets passionate. In this new (undubbed!) press junket video from Filmstarts out of Berlin to promote Cosmopolis, Rob and David Cronenberg discuss the film and more. It's a good interview and Rob starts to remind me of "TakeItBackRob" when he discusses where the motivation is for cinema that seems to only produce superheroes and franchises.

Highlights:
  • Rob: The idea is the world is totally crazy. There's no way to be normal. That's one of the ideas in the movie and kind of what I believe in reality as well. The people that are the most normal are the most crazy.
  •  Rob mentions how contemporary Cosmopolis is but at the time he saw it as a character study. He wasn't really playing a banker.
  • What YouTube video did Rob share in common with Paul Giamatti to influence their character?
  • Rob: He's invented this version of English. He's so determined to be God.
  • Rob talks about his views on the current state of cinema in America. Take It Back, Rob!

NEW: Robert Pattinson talks to ZDF (Germany) in Cannes for Cosmopolis Promo

NEW: Robert Pattinson talks to ZDF (Germany) in Cannes for Cosmopolis Promo

ZDF (Germany) spoke to Rob during the Cosmopolis press junket in Cannes. The interview isn't dubbed so give it a watch. Rob is very "fight the power" in it. I'm so ready to take it back. I'm not sure what "it" is yet (beyond the literal) but I'm going to take it because Rob speaks with such conviction.

Highlights:
  • Liked the challenge of trying to humanize Eric Packer.
  • Eric Packer lives in his own world and speaks his own language.
  • "If you feel like the world has been taken away from you, figure out how to take it back."
  • Thinks it's great that young people are trying to connect with doing something as opposed to sitting around on facebook, video games doing nothing.
  • Loves that they're out there and living.
See? I did a fist pump just watching this. Although I should actually take my fist pump outside...

YouTube of MotivationalRob is in!

Thank you to our reader, Kathrin, for the heads up!  you

Sarah Gadon mentions Robert Pattinson in Cannes Interview

Sarah Gadon mentions Robert Pattinson in Cannes Interview

It's ironic what she says and then the fact we only have this excerpt from her interview.

I really like what Sarah is saying here because we all see that machine working every day. Always trying to get our attention since there's information we want about Rob. I wonder if the folks over at Yahoo & The Wrap realize what drove traffic to that 'Hate Mail' article yesterday. The fans have made Rob quite the powerful name...

Poll About The Comments

Photobucket

A couple of people asked us to conduct a poll and see which commenting platform our readers liked. So here it is but before the vote I'd like to state the advantages Disqus has over blogger comments:

1. You can edit your comments
2. There are threads. So if you reply to someone your reply will be stacked right below their comment.
3. We can control the trolls and spammers with Disqus. In blogger all we could do was "warn" them and hope they would behave.
4. You can see all the comments someone left on a blog by clicking on their profile.
5. It makes our job easier :)

But don't let these effect you ;) Sound off!

There's absolutely no reason to be posting this gif but it's so hot that I am posting it nonetheless :)

Robert Pattinson To Stick By His Co-Stars For Negotiations?

From SunTimes.com:

Much as the success of the "Harry Potter" film franchise turned the once-unknown Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint into internationally famous and extremely wealthy movie stars, a similar route to lifelong financial security is clearly in the cards for "Twilight"/"New Moon" stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

As the trio approaches negotiations for what may be two films based on the Breaking Dawn novel in author Stephenie Meyer's vampire saga, word has it Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner are joining forces to negotiate as a team. The story is reminiscent of the approach taken by "Friends" stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc -- who famously stuck together for all of their contract negotiations in that hit TV series' long run.

Though nothing is yet on paper, there is word the huge box-office hauls of both "Twilight" and "New Moon" -- and the likely success of "Eclipse," already shot and due in June -- has the three actors likely to be able to demand paychecks well into eight figures for the next two films.(Gozde: I hope this is true I always thought it showed the true character and friendship of the Friends' actors. Some were more famous than the others but they always stuck together and got what they wanted. Power to the people! :))

• By the way, a good source close to Pattinson and Lautner tells me the two young actors are "very amused" by all the stories flying around the blogosphere about an alleged big "feud" between the co-stars. While the two men couldn't be more different in real life, the Summit Entertainment insider says their relationship is truly a case of "opposites attract" and the two actors actually are extremely good friends. (Gozde: On another note if Rob makes 8 figures we'll remind him of his promise to "walk around naked :))
