Robert Pattinson on the Cover of Vanity Fair?

Since Rob was voted the "Fairest of them All" by the viewers on a Vanity Fair poll this news comes as no surprise. AND to be fair LAiMey reported this over a month ago, she claimed the shoot was already done.

Marc Malkin reports on E!Online:

Robert Pattinson has another magazine cover coming up—and thankfully, it's not some far-fetched tabloid bullcrap this time around.

Mr. Pattinson, I'm told, has landed himself on the cover of probably the most coveted of monthlies—Vanity Fair!

No word yet on if he's even been shot for VF, but I think it's safe to assume it will be out this fall in conjunction with the November release of New Moon.

Vanity Fair isn't entirely new for Pattinson...

He and Kristen Stewart, along with 10 of their Twilight costars, were featured in an inside story in December in a sexy shoot by celebrity photographer Peggy Sirota.

In April, Pattinson and his big bushy mess of beautiful hair graced the cover of GQ.

As for the possibility of an upcoming Vanity Fair cover, reps for the mag and the actor did not immediately comment.

Why do we have the feeling Barbara Walters is going after Pattinson for her next Most Fascinating People of the Year special that airs on Oscar night? If Miley Cyrus made the cut in 2008, our favorite vampire must surely be in the running for 2009. (Gozde: I don't know why these gave me goosebumps but it did. It might be because I have just been revived from my "electrocution" *winks*)

Vanity Fair reveals grooming products used for Robert Pattinson April 2011 cover

This is dated back in March but it slipped under our radar. Luckily, Skylar, unearthed it so we can all run out and buy some of that lip balm. Isn't that what we're doing? I've got mine arriving overnight on Amazon.

From VanityFair.com:

Though he may not be able to escape Twihards—the legion of obsessive Twilight followers—Robert Pattinson takes a short break from the series with the release of Water for Elephants, in theaters on April 22. Based on the best-selling novel by Sara Gruen about a traveling circus during the Great Depression, the film tells the story of Jacob Jankowski, played by Pattinson, and his love affair with circus performer Marlena (Reese Witherspoon). Pattinson's other co-stars include exotic animals, so it's no surprise the actor was comfortable posing with an alligator for the cover of Vanity Fair's April issue. VF.com went behind the scenes at the shoot, asking expert stylist Sally Hershberger which Sally Hershberger and Kiehl's grooming products she used to get Pattinson camera ready.

In his hair: Sally Hershberger Body Fix
On his face: Kiehl's Facial Fuel Energizing Moisture Treatment for Men
On his lips: Kiehl's Lip Balm #1

Let's all concentrate on the grooming products used for Rob during the Vanity Fair shoot and not the lack of outtakes from Vanity FAIL. I mustn't dwell. Back to my happy place...

Robert Pattinson Vanity Fair Outtakes and Article

Article

It’s been exactly one year since Twilight, the teenage-vampire book series turned film franchise, became a worldwide phenomenon, launching brooding, reluctant star Robert Pattinson into the celebrity stratosphere. Not since Leonardo DiCaprio’s Titanic era has there been a young actor so rabidly hunted by teenagers and paparazzi alike—enough that mere sightings of him with his co-star and rumored paramour Kristen Stewart make for international front-page news. For the cover story of Vanity Fair’s December issue, contributing editor Evgenia Peretz interviews Pattinson, Stewart, and a host of Twilight insiders for an intimate profile that describes how he landed the role of Edward Cullen, distills the essence of his appeal, and explores his discomfort with the hormone-fueled frenzy he inspires among his fans.

To read “Twilight’s Hot Gleaming” and see Bruce Weber’s exclusive photographs of Pattinson (only available in the print edition), pick up a copy of the December 2009 issue of Vanity Fair, available on newsstands in New York and Los Angeles on November 4 and nationally on November 10.

Robert Pattinson & An Alligator In "Vanity Fair" - More Details About His Photoshoot

WHAT?? An Alligator??? Oh God.

Photobucket

According to Gossip Cop

Robert Pattinson Poses with Alligator for April Vanity Fair Cover

Robert Pattinson poses with an alligator on the April 2011 cover of Vanity Fair, Gossip Cop is told.

Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz shot pics of the superstar for the mag’s cover story, which is tied to the release of Pattinson’s upcoming film Water for Elephants.

As for the four-foot reptile, Pattinson’s alligator pal is a nod to the Louisiana set of Breaking Dawn.

In the profile, sources tell Gossip Cop, Pattinson does not discuss his relationship with Kristen Stewart.

Mostly, we hear that Pattinson comes across as a genuinely good guy and reluctant star.

Vanity Fair will be on newsstands on March 3.

Robert Pattinson As The Ultimate Urban Male: Self-Assured But Discreet, Effortless & Yet Impeccably Tailored~ Vanity Fair

Robert Pattinson As The Ultimate Urban Male: Self-Assured But Discreet, Effortless & Yet Impeccably Tailored~ Vanity Fair

While I haven't been lucky enough to see Rob's Dior Ad broadcast on TV over here (yet) that doesn't mean I haven't watched the You Tube version on my TV (many times ;)).

And with the launch of Dior Homme for Men at Macy's there have been many articles that I've been really enjoying reading, like the one below from Vanity Fair

 photo ScreenShot2013-12-21at125448-1-1.png

The ubiquitous heartthrob Robert Pattinson stars in a new commercial as the new face for Dior Homme Eau for Men. Directed by Romain Garvras (maker of the controversial promo for Justice’s track "Stress" Pattinson channels James Dean—living with complete abandonment of the rules. His lust for life, paired with his undulating intensity, inspire this deeply emotional modern love story (aptly titled “1000 Lives”), which unfolds with Led Zeppelin’s "Whole Lotta Love" humming in the background.

Shot on rooftops in Rockaway Beach and New York City (including the Waldorf-Astoria), the short showcases Pattinson as the ultimate urban male: self-assured but discreet, effortless and yet impeccably tailored. He is a man with a purpose, living from moment to moment (staying true to his vampire roots!), which also comes through in his next three film choices (one of them being Life, due out 2015, wherein he plays a Life-magazine photographer hired to follow and photograph James Dean). Taking a cue from Dean, who was once famously said, “Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today,” Pattinson—as the new face of Dior Homme Eau for Men—does just that.

There’s even a book, called Robert Pattinson: 1000 Lives, photographed by Nan Goldin and published by Rizzoli (Goldin photographed the European campaign for the fragrance).

And the juice is rightly so on-target for this present-day male. Dior’s in-house master perfume creator, François Demachy, tweaked the original scent to equal the attitude of this urban, modern-chic gent. The scent is a refreshing blend of Calabrian bergamot, Moroccan grapefruit, and Crimean coriander at top, with Tuscan iris absolute surrounding the heart, followed by Virginia cedarwood at the base. “Eau for Men is a fresh yet directly masculine fragrance, its immediacy is its soul,” says Demachy.

Robert Pattinson vs Leo DiCaprio: Which Craze Was Craziest?

Vanity Fair titles it with: "Heartthrob Smackdown: Leonardo DiCaprio vs. Robert Pattinson" and compares the "teenage" craze of the two actors. The poll question is: "Robert Pattinson vs Leo DiCaprio: Which Craze Was Craziest?".

Well, since I never understood the Leonardo DiCaprio craze and I am not a teenager anymore I don't think I can compare the two. All I can say is I hope Rob "grows up" to have as great or a better career than Leo with better love interest choices :) 'Cause for a "serious" and smart guy who does amazing work for a greener world Leo's love interests have been gorgeous supermodels who I'm SURE are very intelligent and environmentally aware (sarcasm)... I'm just sayin' :)

leonardodicapriovsrobertpattinson.jpg

Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Pattinson. Photographs by Brigitte Lacombe (DiCaprio) and Bruce Weber (Pattinson).

"Not since Leo, circa Titanic, has a young actor been so aggressively beloved by 13-year-old girls worldwide," writes Evgenia Peretz in her Vanity Fair profile of Robert Pattinson (Twilight's Hot Gleaming, December 2009). Peretz is right—and I would know. I was one of those teenage girls who got caught up in the "Leo-mania" fan frenzy in the late 90s. The first copy of Vanity Fair I ever bought was the January 1998 issue with Leo on the cover. I hung Tiger Beat and Teen Bop posters of Leo on my bedroom walls. And after I saw Titanic in the movie theater six times, one of my friends and I even created a Leo Web site, at a time when you could only access the Internet via a dial-up modem.

Sure, there were other Hollywood stars that set our teenage hearts a-flutter (Home Improvement's Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Camp Nowhere's Andrew Keegan, and Casper's Devon Sawa come to mind), and the Backstreet Boys and N*SYNC boy-band craze that prompted one of my friends to paint her bedroom baby blue (it was Justin Timberlake's favorite color) came close to rivaling the Leo pandemic. But among us teenagers, it was only DiCaprio who orbited in the true superstar stratosphere.

Although I personally don't understand the infatuation with Pattinson (luckily, I grew out of my teenage obsession phase long ago), I certainly understand where today's teenagers are coming from. But I'm still not sure that RPattz hysteria is as intense as Leo-mania was.

You can vote over at Vanity Fair if you think you need to :)

'The Batman' Filming Temporarily Halts After Robert Pattinson Tests Positive For Covid-19

'The Batman' Filming Temporarily Halts After Robert Pattinson Tests Positive For Covid-19

image host

Vanity Fair  is reporting that filming on 'The Batman' has been temporarily halted due to Rob testing positive for Covid-19. I know we are all thinking of Rob and wishing him a speedy recovery!

From Vanity Fair:

"Robert Pattinson has tested positive for coronavirus, according to Vanity Fair, prompting “The Batman” to suspend filming in the United Kingdom.

Warner Bros. confirmed earlier on Thursday that production was being put on hold after a crew member tested positive but did not confirm the person’s identity.

“A member of ‘The Batman’ production has tested positive for COVID-19 and is isolating in accordance with established protocols,” a Warner Bros. spokesperson said in a statement. “Filming is temporarily paused.”

The studio did not immediately respond to a request for comment about whether or not Pattinson had contracted the virus, nor did a representative for the actor.

News of the shutdown comes days after the gritty comic book adventure went back into production following months-long filming delays. “The Batman,” starring Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, was about seven weeks into filming when they had to turn off cameras due to the pandemic. The movie has approximately three months of material left to shoot and hopes to be done filming by the end of the year."
