Robert Pattinson Talks Screaming Fans To RTL (Belgium)

Robert Pattinson Talks Screaming Fans To RTL (Belgium)

At what moment did you realise the saga was bigger than you thought?

Rob: It started with the first movie. There's a convention in San Diego called Comic Con, I saw fans going nuts, thinking already of the next movies. People were screaming backstage, I told myself, 'what's happening here, what's gonna happen when we go out on the stage. We're gonna storm the stage or something.'

i'm not computer savvy so if anyone can help her, let me know b/c she can't get on disqus. we're talking on facebook.

Gozde said...

ps-i told her to try chrome. she's using explorer right now w/windows 7.

Gozde said...

yes I prefer chrome to explorer its very user friendly :)

I've just come back from my holiday and what the hell has happened to the comments section?

Gozde said...

That's why I missed your comments, Kaz. How has it been? I hope you had a lovely time (okay, I think I remember now that you've mentioned that you were leaving or am I messed up? Probably yes :) ). This is a new format of disqus, we're not happy about but apparently we can't change it back to the former one. You can make the avi's larger in putting the cursor on them, the rest is quite the same but you can't see who has 'liked' you anymore and unfortunately there's a dislike button we try to ignore.

Gozde said...

I can't say I'm that happy, bwen with this lame interview but at least they recognized the phenomenom and its influence on popculture and (I liked that) they said that it made kids like reading books more, which is a bit true. Oh and no bad word about the franchise either, that's good too. Next wednesday BDII hits theatres here and I think we are (once again) first, aren't we? Can't watch it right now, have to wait a week or so but I'll survive :)

I use chrome and the only time I had any problem was when Google had trouble was when the hacker got everyone! Fox fire worked for me then, but I still like Chrome the best.

Gozde said...

Thanks for the info hon. It all looks very strange. Do the vote up parts work the same as the old likes?
If not, how will the caption comments work?
I hate change...not sure I like this format. I cant enlarge any pics either. When I click on a picture to save it, there isn't anywhere to right click and save on photobucket for me :(

Gozde said...

I use Chrome as well. Can't help with anything else I'm afraid.

Gozde said...

you can still like a comment, but it doesn't show your name anymore when you click on it. Don't know what you mean exactly with 'caption comments' and concerning saving pics, I hope someone else will help you, I'm a pc neanderthalor you know :)

Gozde said...

Yes you vote up now on the caption comps but you wont know who voted !!

Gozde said...

I had the same, had to change to explorer 9!

Gozde said...

I tried as well to save photo and could not, what worked for me was just to left click on actual photo and save. Hope that works for you :)

Nooooo! Must fix Leah.................She let's me have a cell in her basement!

I am commenting to you here from the dashboard. I am no longer looking at comments on threads nor am I coming here other than to look at posts, info on Rob, and whoever is on my Dashboard. They've lost me as a comment-maker, which might make some celebrate, as I am too often verbose and do not fit exactly with the program. It's ironic that a day after Josh makes it clear that Robsessed is a world phenomenon, that at least one person in the world, and I think there are more than myself, will not be part of it. I had said it would be my one place of normalcy, since otherwise I am not mainstream in anything, but I guess I am not meant to be normal in anything!
SOmeone please email me if they get Robsessed back to what it was. Thanks!

Gozde said...

Sorry to see you go Solas!
But you do realize that your comments have always been available through google don't you... even before the format changed.
Try googling Solas.

Gozde said...

No--I never knew my comments were available through google and now I am horrified; I had thought they were here and of that I was wary enough, but willing for what I thought was a small risk to my privacy and identity. I just googled Solas but did not get myself at all, but am taking your word for it and now it reinforces even more that I have to avoid commenting anything of substance, especially if controversial.
I do hope you all can email me, and I will comment as I am now from Dashboard but will try to 'keep my mouth shut' and try to not say anything that reveals personal information or POVs or attitudes that I do not wish seen. Thanks for letting me know.

Gozde said...

No problem Solas. I use Chrome as my search engine and as I type in the search bar Solas ..Solas Goggle comes up first in the drop down menu but then the next selection in the list is ROBsessed attached to your comments the most recent first and so on.

Gozde said...

Chrome is faster than outlook!

Gozde said...

definitely :) !!

Gozde said...

Solas, I googled you from Internet Explorer and didn't 'find' you, but Bwen uses chrome, seems to be different. I was wondering, if you change your avi, you will be anonymous enough to continue commenting, not? I've always been very cautious about my identity as I have explained you once in a mail.
I don't like at all, the idea of you not commenting anymore, I missed you already. Maybe it's possible to try to not reveal too much of your personal life.. I'm just trying to get you back here, selfish I know. But Jessegirl has left, now you, you were both "oldies", don't like to see them leave. Think about ways to make it possible, Solas. Because, bwen just showed that it doesn't matter wether you're on the new or old format.

Gozde said...

Thanks, bwen, for mentioning that. I use Internet Explorer and when I google Solas, I get a lot of sites, from Wikipedia to clubs but nothing that's related to our Solas.

Gozde said...

I register under a different name from my moniker and make up my personal info or leave it blank. You can't get way from your comments being accessible on a public blog that is the nature of the internet. I had assumed that people were aware of this.

Gozde said...

BB,I googled from aol, internet explorer, and chrome, and did not find myself at all on some, and on one not right away, so the old format it would have taken quite a lot of effort for someone to find me. In this format, because there is the option of 'sharing' anyone could 'share' my comments on any of the 'social networks' most of which I despise, or at least barely tolerate. As for changing my avi, I am who I am, and even if I change my screen-name, eventually if there is someone bent on finding me or posting what i say where I do not wish it, it will happen. My way of interacting is relating from myself, opening up just enough to relate and connect. To me it is a form of giving in the give and take of relationships, and I considered many if not most here as at least online friends, some of whom I have met in person, communicate with outside of Robsessed. To me, it isn't just faceless remarks to faceless words on a screen. I give of my Self, and do not want my self all over the place, nor even the possibility of it.
Thank you for missing me; it may sound pathetic but I like to know when I am gone--whether for a few days, or from a site, or from the bigger picture--that I am missed; that my words meant something and reached someone.
As long as it is this format, where it is too easy for obnoxious people to come on and 'share' my words against my will (and if I comment here, it is sort of like saying it is my will to have my words 'shared') then I just won't, certainly nothing of substance. The old way, even if someone googled me and found me, was hard enough work that no matter what I do if someone is so warped with a need to do that, that person will find me.
You have my email; I do hope you will keep in touch. I might try to give 'likes' if I see something on the dashboard that I like or with which I agree. I find the 'dislike' choice a decline rather than an improvement, an option for elementary school/middle school cliquish/bully behaviour. There have been people hurt and put off enough by the 'like' option when not getting enough 'likes' compared to someone else; all we need are obnoxious visitors/trolls coming in and playing that nasty game. For me, the 'like' button was at least a way to show one agrees, to give positive reinforcement; the 'dislike' is only negative. I would rather none of the options (like, dislike, and share) at all. But since I do not set formats for this or any site, I will just avoid.

Gozde said...

Solas though we have not always agreed I will miss you. Its a fact that anyone who goes on a public blog needs to be aware that what thy post can be shared outside of that blog.
Even in the old format things were copied and pasted to other sites or brought into ROBsessed from other sites. It's the nature of the beast and won't be any different even if they go back to the old method. I'm sorry that you won;t be sharing your thoughts with us any more.

Gozde said...

I agree with the like-dislike and share buttons. The like button: okay though I used it rarely and almost never looked if my comments were liked. The other buttons are just childish. The mods are very busy with the coverage of the BDII promo's but when everything has become quiet again, maybe Gozde can work something out with disqus. I do hope so, don't want people to leave for this reason. That'd be too sad. We'll keep in touch, I hope!

Gozde said...

Thanks--I personally have never seen my or any one else's comments from here anywhere else, but I don't use the internet much. I really cannot stand it and cannot understand how others like it, or at least do not mind.

Gozde said...

I've always been very cautious about the anonymity, reason why I, for a long time, have posted as a guest. I even don't like people being able to read my comments when they click on my moniker. Not people of Robsessed, I like to comment on articles though, but I'm not amused that posters there can read my posts here or elsewhere.
Well, as you said, the nature of the beast. It is misleading: we like to think we have our little bubble here but the rest of the net can watch us like a real big brother.

Gozde said...

Well Solas I can't answer for anyone else but I educated myself about the internet before I started commenting here.
And I realized what the nature of the beast is so if I wanted to participate in this community then was what I would have to put up with.
I have time and again asked people if they would say face to face what they have posted here. As far as the like and dislike buttons go they are childish and I tend to ignore them.
I have seen comments from here posted elsewhere particularly during the summer...but that is neither here nor there. It has always happened and always will.
Again I'm sorry to see you go...we've had some good discussions.

Gozde said...

I've always been willing to stand by anything I say to say it face to face; that is not the problem. I am not ashamed of what I write, of my opinions, values, POVs. I am concerned more regarding work, religious community, stalkers, an,d quite simply, my own business and what I choose to share with friends or at least people with whom I am friendly. I always knew there was the possibility of someone copying and pasting what i said, but, quite frankly, I did not think anything I said would be worth the effort, interesting to anyone beyond this blog. The 'share' feature makes it too easy.

Gozde said...

I agree about the work and religious community and stalkers. Don't know exactly what has happened here but seems your comments have been used as you would not have them. I am sorry this has happened to you. Will miss you too and praying for you, Love you judy

Gozde said...

Thanks--as far as I know, nothing has happened in a long time (although someone who stalked me did find his way here and other places; I assume he just put in the extra effort that no one else would). I just did not want to participate because of the 'share' option (and other options), not realizing that, at least according to someone here, my comments are accessible anyway. Again, I think it would be effort that anyone obnoxious would apply no matter what, if the 'share' was not an option here.

Gozde said...

Solas, I am very sorry you won't be here often, or even at all, but I do understand why. Your words are of great value and more importantly they are yours and to be shared only as you see fit, or so it should be. Still you will be greatly missed. You have helped me many times to sort my thoughts or shown me a different POV altogether at times when I was just frustrating myself... thanks for that. You are a wonderful lady, Solas..and Rob is very blessed to have you as a fan, just as we were blessed to have you on Robsessed, our very own resident therapists, always the voice of reason. It's been an honor to converse with you and if I ever get my email working properly I'd hope to keep in touch. For all that the internet has it's evil side..I'm grateful for it giving the opportunity for me to "know" you, Solas, and I'm grateful to this site and for all the great ladies here.
Now on a lighter note I'd been thinking of you because the new movie ''Lincoln'' is out now with your guys DDL and JSpader. Have you seen it and did you love it? You can give me a generic answer if you like, but I'd rather your in-depth and expert critique if you'd feel free to give it here. Luv ya, Solas and miss you already. <3

Gozde said...

Thanks so much, Sonja; you make me regret my decision to leave but I do not know how to balance it yet. If Disqus were to go back to what it was, even if people could google me that way, I would feel safer than I do with the option of other people 'sharing.' I feel with the old way, a person would have to put forth a lot of effort to put my stuff elsewhere, and an obnoxious person would put forth effort no matter which safeguards are put into place anyway. My option would be revert to total reclusion.
I am very much looking forward to seeing Lincoln, and if I can only get to see one film, it will be that, not BD2. I figure I can (and will) get BD2 on DVD in a relatively short time; I don't enjoy being in cinemas; I sometimes cannot stand in lines well and Twilight movies are usually around the block, at least the first week; I have found Twilight saga audiences often rude, with a lot of talking and texting and other sounds. Both movies come out just a few days after my birthday, and my son and daughterinlaw may take me to Lincoln, but not to BD2. If I can fit it both, I will.
Thanks again for your comments. They really made my day!

Gozde said...

So good to hear back from you, Solas! That'll be a great birthday gift..that movie is gonna be painfully good..Leno said he cried at the end and he was serious when he said it to James Spader last week. Now I have not seen DDL on any talk show, guess that's not his thing. But Spielberg talked about him and said Daniel came up with the voice of Lincoln on his own (made me think of Rob..''when I was reading the script there was a voice''..). He also said he stayed in character on location..such a serious role! And like his other movies DDL is using authentic relics that belonged to the president (his watch). I'm anxious to see it as I know you are. Now I do have a ticket for BD2 for Wednesday night. I'm going with family and will take a chair to sit in line (I can't stand for long either). Hopefully it will be well managed. I plan to see it at least twice more after the crowds die down with my grandson and my best friend. So I hope you'll get to see it later too, but in a calmer setting.
I'm glad to hear there's a chance you might reconsider about leaving us, Solas and I agree we don't need that 'share' button and it along with the 'dislike' should be removed. Maybe the mods will adjust these things like BB said. And then maybe you'll hang out with us. But I would hope you'd not feel the need to censor yourself too much, cause then it wouldn't be you. :-)
