People talking about Robert Pattinson: Katy Perry and Breaking Dawn's MyAnna Buring

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Excerpt from TheHotHits:
Katy was thrilled to be in Australia for the premiere of the film, but we had to ask her what it was like partying with Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Robert Pattinson after her LA screening.

She told thehothits.com, "There wasn't really any partying, cause when I party I party! I party like Andrew W K style, I crowd surf!"

"But no we were just hanging out, I love Selena and we have a lot of mutual friends and Justin's always been so nice to me and Robert somehow got stuck in all of this!"

Excerpt from MSN (UK):
Twilight's MyAnna Buring has said watching co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart deal with the spotlight has made her realise fame isn't always what it's cracked up to be.

The 27-year-old Swedish actress - who plays vampire Tanya in Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2 - is impressed with the way the actors, who are a real life couple, deal with the attention, but is pleased she doesn't get as much.

MyAnna said: "I've only had lovely experiences with fans but I think it must be crazy for the main group.

"They handle it with amazing grace, but if people actually experienced it I think they would think again about how cool it is, because it can be really tough."

The Kill List actress revealed working on the final instalment of the hit vampire franchise had been really exciting.

She said: "It's going to be big. Filming the final scenes was so epic. All the original characters and all the new vampires were there, it was just huge.

"One hundred actors on one set creates quite a special atmosphere, and you got a sense of what you were part of."

Robert Pattinson talks the state of cinema in America, Cosmopolis and Eric Packer: "He's so determined to be God"

Robert Pattinson talks the state of cinema in America, Cosmopolis and Eric Packer: "He's so determined to be God"

Oh my goodness I love when Rob gets passionate. In this new (undubbed!) press junket video from Filmstarts out of Berlin to promote Cosmopolis, Rob and David Cronenberg discuss the film and more. It's a good interview and Rob starts to remind me of "TakeItBackRob" when he discusses where the motivation is for cinema that seems to only produce superheroes and franchises.

Highlights:
  • Rob: The idea is the world is totally crazy. There's no way to be normal. That's one of the ideas in the movie and kind of what I believe in reality as well. The people that are the most normal are the most crazy.
  •  Rob mentions how contemporary Cosmopolis is but at the time he saw it as a character study. He wasn't really playing a banker.
  • What YouTube video did Rob share in common with Paul Giamatti to influence their character?
  • Rob: He's invented this version of English. He's so determined to be God.
  • Rob talks about his views on the current state of cinema in America. Take It Back, Rob!

From Celebuzz

There’s a new vampire in town — and she’s ready to sink her teeth into Hollywood.
Tracey Heggins plays Senna, the oldest vampire from the Amazon coven that fights with the Cullens against the Volturi, in the upcoming Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2. The movie, which hits theaters this fall, is the final installment of the Twilight franchise.
Celebuzz recently sat down with the stunning actress, who dished on the upcoming film, how Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart behaved on set, and what prank the entire cast pulled on the movie’s director.

...

Celebuzz: What was it like being cast in such a huge franchise like Twilight?
TH: It’s so funny, because I always say I’m just this little fish in this big, happy pond. Everyone from Rob, Kristen, to Stephenie Meyer– they were all so kind. As soon as Peter Facinelli walked on set, he welcomed us. It’s just been a blessing to be in fantasyland and to be an adult that can just play make-believe.

...

CB: The film’s director, Bill Condon, said it brought out a very paternal and motherly part of Rob and Kristen on set —aside from their swearing! Would you agree?
TH: Yes, Mackenzie had a swear dish, so each swear was per dollar. Some people said, “I’ll give you 20 dollars now before we even start working.” So, she whooped us all into shape with our dirty mouths.

CB: What was it like working with stars like Robert and Kristen?
TH: It was good because they were both really down to earth. It’s very scary to go off on a set with huge names. I mean, when you are number one on IMDB, it’s a little intimidating. But they were just cool, and Kristen was like a tomboy and was so down to earth. Rob was the same way. He actually has this almost self-deprecating, ‘Oh, did I just say that?’ And I understand why he did that because it made everyone else feel so comfortable. So thank you, Robert!

...

CB: What was it like filming the last scene of the series? Were there any tears on set?
TH: Yes, especially when we went back to re-shoot. It was really like, ‘This is over now.’ That was really rough. You feel like a void when it’s all done. No matter how much is in the movie or not in the movie, we spent a lot of time together. Everyone from all the behind-the-scenes people and wardrobe, etc. make a set happen. I’ll be honest: we all got a little misty — even Rob and Kristen.

A little Behind the Scenes of Robert Pattinson doing Interviews

And in this one the interviewer asks David Cronenberg if it's the first Cronenberg movie with a lot of teenage girls in attendance

Cosmopolis Is An Absolute Work Of Art, & Robert Pattinson’s Performance Is Nothing Short Of Stunning

How could I not be in love with this review when it says things like that?

Ok, ok you have to ignore the "R-pattz" reference and the "legion of batshit fans" remark but I can totally turn a blind eye to both of those when Harry Harris says such things as "Robert Pattinson has proved himself as an actor of real prowess in Cosmopolis – my film of the year so far" and that Cosmopolis is "probably the most exciting piece of cinema this century".

PLEASE head over to Sabotagetimes.com and read the full article!

R-Patz has finally cast of the shackles of Edward Cullen and proved himself as an actor of real prowess in Cosmopolis – my film of the year so far

“Prepare to be surprised” reads the tagline for Cosmopolis, David Cronenberg’s long awaited adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel, and given the fact that teen idol Robert Pattinson adorns the posters, slumped over in a beast of a limousine, you get the feeling that it’s his performance that we’re being directed towards. He is arguably the biggest star of the moment, thrown from relative obscurity into the blinding light via the Twilight series, and the legion of batshit fans that it has managed to accrue. The worry for Pattinson in becoming so closely associated with one role is that the more popular Twilight becomes, and certainly it’s showing no signs of abating, the harder it will be for him to craft a career for himself when the franchise inevitably comes to a close.

Kudos to him then for taking on Cosmopolis, a dark, challenging, radical change of pace directed by David Cronenberg. I’ll cut right to the chase: The film is an absolute work of art, and Robert Pattinson’s performance is nothing short of stunning.
