Juliette Binoche talks meeting Robert Pattinson for Cosmopolis

Juliette Binoche (Didi) plays Robert Pattinson's (Eric Packer) mistress in Cosmopolis. She recently spoke with La Provence (France) about meeting Rob.



Her translated mention:

For David Cronenberg’s new movie ?
J.B: Yes, it is called “Cosmopolis”. I play an art dealer who has an affair with Robert Pattinson. He, plays a billionaire who loses everything.

Robert Pattinson evolves in a sphere that seems far away from yours…
J.B: I don’t have a point of view about his career, I didn’t see the “Twilight” movies. We had dinner together on set. He is an incredible cinema buff who for several years saw two to three movies a day. He is a fan of “Les amants du Pont Neuf” (The Pont Neuf lovers). He was funny, you would have thought he was a little child.

I love love love when top-notch actors are impressed with Rob and how people always comment on his knowledge of film. I feel proud like, "Yep. He's awesome. Duh!"

NEW PIC: Fan account of seeing Robert Pattinson on the set of Cosmopolis

We posted these pictures before, remember?



What we didn't have is the story behind them. I love it! Jeanette, the owner of the pictures and ROBsessor, reached out to me and shared her swoonworthy account:

I just wanted to explain. That pic that you tumbled was mine. And I would like to give a brief description. I'm pretty sure his fans would want to know what I saw when I took this picture.

Donna and I went to the set that day on May 29th. And we had loads of fun. Getting Dean to blush, was a great moment. You know how that man is, EMOTIONLESS.

Well... the story behind that pic of him with the closed eyes. It took my breath away.

I was getting my camera ready. And just basically fooling around with it. When I was looking into my screen. I could see his eyes fluttering and his lips moving. Like he was preparing himself for the upcoming scene and saying his lines. Just the pure concentration that poured from that picture takes it all away. And to see this man, do his job. A job he does very well. He was just very focused and I know none of his fans have ever seen him like this. In his element. One he shines in. I was just truly taken aback from this picture. Yes, I tweeted this picture. But never said it was mine. I'm in the process of getting it copy righted to my name.
So.. if want you can say that about the picture.

Oh I WANT! I love how professional Rob is. We know he's a pensive, intelligent, artist. Seeing the picture with this new information made me swoon out my chair. At first I thought he was caught in between a blink but now. Now to see the concentration as he transforms into Eric Packer. GAH. I bet it's amazing to watch. Just like this video, he can turn it on and turn it off and make me swoon. *throws roses at his feet* Bravo, Robert, bravo!

Robert Pattinson Audio From The WFE Barcelona Press Conference

I don't think we ever had the entire Audio/Video of Robert Pattinson from this Barcelona Press Conference and there's bits in this that are new to me.

If we did have this before then please forgive me but it's totally worth another listen just for his adorable laugh.

And yes Rob you are "SO HUMBLE" ! (I may have listened to that part a few hundred times :-})

Q: The films have spawned lots of big stars, such as Robert Pattinson. Are you a fan of the Twilight films?
R: Yeah, definitely. There's no rivalry. I've only seen one-and-a-half of them. My sisters love them. It's great to see Robert in this huge thing.I was pleased for him.

Q: Do you keep in contact?
R: Not really. The last time I saw him was just before he got the Twilight job. I think I was at the fifth film premiere. he just happened to be walking past as he wasn't originally invited because he wasn't in that film. (Laughs).
