myCineplex.com Interview Rob answers the fans questions.

Rob talks hair, music and sudden fame......what else is new kids?

Twilighters, calling your response to our Q&A “enthusiastic” would be an understatement. You weren’t afraid to share how much you TOTES LOVE Stephenie Meyer’s (im)mortal characters, the books and, of course, the actors behind the steamy vampire lore.

The affable Brit reveals how he’s handling fame, if he’ll appear in the Twilight sequels and how he feels about living up to the legend of Edward. And yes ladies, he ran his fingers through that perfectly dishevelled hair – a lot.

Q: Robert, is music a big part of your life?
Robert Pattinson: Music is kindof a big part of my life – not enormous. I go through phases, especially when I’m in London, where all I do is play music. But generally when I’m in the States, I watch more films and stuff.

Q: Hello darlings. My name is Stefanie I hope you are doing well. I'm so excited for Twilight! My question is for Kristen and Rob. Kristen you sang in the movie Into The Wild - do you plan on singing some more in the future? And Rob do you plan on doing anything with your music soon?
RP: [Laughs] So weird…Nobody actually asks about Twilight anymore. I don’t really plan on doing anything with the music as of today. Yeah, not for awhile…

Q: Robert : How do you feel about all this sudden fame?
RP: Sudden fame is kindof…I’m not really sure how to deal with it yet cause I’m still in this kindof Twilight bubble where I don’t know what would really happen to me in reality, in my normal life. I don’t really know even if I am famous, other than being in magazines and stuff. Or maybe that’s it – that’s being famous. [Laughs]. But I have no idea.

Q: For Rob, do you use gel, hairspray, or just the natural oils for your hair?
RP: What are natural oils? [Laughs] I just use natural oils for my hair – yup. [Laughs]

Q: In all the movies you've seen in your life, is there a role that you would have loved to "steal" from another actor/actress?
RP: Hmmm…There are a lot of roles that I’ve read the script for and then seen what the actor did and wish I had stolen it but I can’t really say any by name. I don’t know…I can’t really judge because the films which I like and the performances which I like [are] because the actor was in that performance and there’s no guarantee you’d be able to do it. I don’t think there’s really any.
Q: What was it like to take on a role that so many people have expectations of? And also now that you’ve done Twilight do you think you would return for any future sequels?
RP: Expectations never really mean anything to me. I don’t really care what people’s expectations are of anything [Laughs]. But I mean I’m so much more critical than the harshest critic could be. And as far as sequels go, I’m signed for the next two – like "New Moon" and "Eclipse" – if they decide to make them.

PARADE Magazine Interview

This picture is pure win.

Q: How does it feel to create fan frenzy wherever you go, even before the movie is in theaters?
A: I still haven't really got my head around it. I've been to so many cities now where they introduce me at a big gathering and all the girls scream and stuff. And then you walk down the street and no one knows who you are because they haven't seen the movie. It's like the most bizarre dichotomy of existences. It's like I'm living two completely different lives. I've been in this Twilight warp for ages, where I haven't done anything really this year other than do the movie and then promote it. I'm totally expecting that people will still say, 'Hey, Edward,' or whatever for a long time. I don't know what that's going to be like if they do that. But it's fine. I don't really go out that much anyway.
Q: Have you had some weird fan encounters?
A: I was in the airport the other day going through security and the lady checking my bag was like, 'I've got my midnight showing tickets.' She was like definitely an older woman and she's like, 'Me and all my friends are going.'
Q: So you weren't expecting this?
A: I thought I was working for Catherine Hardwicke, a respected independent movie director, making a vampire film with Kristen Stewart, an actress who was on a roll doing kind of classy, indie films. I didn't see it as a typical teen movie. And I certainly didn't think it was so huge at all.
Q: You're definitely not a typical vampire - no fangs and you can even walk around in daylight.
A: You have to put the stereotypical vampire conventions out of your head. You get bitten by a guy. Three days later, you wake up and have an unquenchable thirst for human blood, when before that you were just a normal 17- year-old. You realize, after a little while, that you never sleep, are going to live forever, and have super strength and super speed. I just tried to imagine how I would behave, as a human, from that point onwards. I really didn't think about it like playing a vampire.
Q: When the vampires play baseball together, you were pretty awesome.
A: Actually, I'm terrible at baseball. Catherine desperately wanted me to look like a pro baseball player, for some reason. I was like, 'Why? He's not a pro baseball player. He's a vampire.' I just didn't understand it. And so I kept fighting everyone the whole time. I was like, 'He can be crap. He doesn't even need to be able to play. He doesn't even need a bat.' But I admit Catherine edited those scenes to make me look pretty good.
Q: Did you get a kick out of watching your performance?
A: I don't really watch my own stuff. If I watch my own stuff, I want to be sick every single time. I don't know. It's a strange thing.
Q: You have some songs on the soundtrack, don't you?
A: It was just a random occurrence. I was writing some songs and performing them last year. I had them on my computer and somebody burned a CD and gave them to Catherine. Later, she showed me these scenes with two of my songs in the background. They kind of bizarrely fit. I was fine with it. I didn't really think about it. There wasn't a lot hype then, but, now, it's become this big deal.
Q: So you're not planning to audition for American Idol?
A: No thank you. Having a career as a musician is just too hard. I think, as soon as you start doing music as a career, it kills the fun for you, unless you just want to perform to big crowds. I want to write songs because I like to and I'm not trying to make money out of it.

People's Sexiest Man Alive 2008-Rob makes the list!

Hugh(not huge) Jackman takes the highest honors as #1 on their list but we already know that is bogus, #1 is right here!

"Last year all I was trying to do was get a girlfriend," says Pattinson, 22, Twilight's resident vampire and previously Harry Potter's Quidditch foil, Cedric. "What happened? It's like the face of what is attractive has changed. Girls used to want to see guys take their shirts off. Now it's, 'I want you to bite me.' It's bizarre."

Rob talks to Tribute Magazine

I don't know if this one has been posted before, but it is a good interview and so here we go again
...maybe?

Rotten Tomatoes 5 Favorite Movies w/ Rob

Below are Rob's 5 favorite movies and his explanations why.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's NesThe films that I like aren't necessarily because they're good films in themselves -- One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a good film -- but that one specifically meant a lot to me. Not because I was in a mental home or anything, but that character influenced me so much when I was 15 or 16, and bits of it stuck with me. A lot of that kind of "putting your middle finger up to the world" attitude -- not that I really have that, but...I used to be so timid, and that was one of those films that [helped me break out], by pretending to be [Jack Nicholson's character] Randle.

The ExorcistThe Exorcist, because I love Linda Blair. [Laughs] She's my ideal woman.

Prenom Carmen (First Name: Carmen) What else do I like? A Godard film called Prenom Carmen, which sounds like I'm just saying that to be cool, but it's actually one of my favorite films. I think it's the best Godard film. It's like his version of Carmen the opera, one of his films from the eighties. In terms of just pure filmmaking and manipulating an audience, it kind of starts out as a farce, as a complete, stupid farce, with this bank robbery; but it's really, really...Godardian, with kind of a stupid humor that's so random. Only he could make it, mixed up with these kinds of philosophical elements.

It starts out with one of these bank robbers, these students, and she starts to sleep with one of the guards; she's having sex with him in the bank, and he pretends to arrest her and they run away together. And he wants to be part of her gang. It's all so completely ridiculous. And then suddenly, halfway through, it turns into the most heartbreaking, serious thing that you've ever seen -- out of nowhere! -- and you're suddenly so attached to these characters, which you weren't before, because it seemed like a stupid student film. They have this secondary story where they have a string quartet playing the soundtrack which runs in the other story, but they film them during rehearsal, just doing really close up things with them playing cello and stuff, and it's about the relationship with the conductor and this girl, the cellist -- and it's completely random to the film, but it's incredible.

Continuing on the subject of Godard...

I love the last line of Breathless -- it's literally one of the best [representations] of the relationship between women and men. He was also very aware of how people viewed his films, and that film in particular. Everyone was thinking, oh, I'm cool, because I like this, and it's like, "What does 'bitch' mean?" [Laughs] That's kind of the conflict. I love that.

Breathless is definitely what got me into Godard. You can't really be influenced by Jean-Paul Belmondo though, because he's too cool -- so there's no point in me trying to be like him! Randle McMurphy, you can kind of wear his clothes. [Laughs] It's quite easy to find them. But if you wore Belmondo's clothes, you'd look like an idiot.

But even he's trying to be someone else -- he's trying to be Bogart.

He's not really -- he's cooler than Bogart! [Pattinson imitates Belmondo's signature move, brushing his thumb over his lips.] That's like the coolest thing! Another film, Pierrot le Fou -- I did everything from those movies. These stupid, random things, like when he says, "Can I get two beers?" And she's like, "Why?" "I want to have one when I finish the other one." I was like, that's so cool! I have to do that all the time! There's this stupid thing from Arizona Dream, with Vincent Gallo and Johnny Depp, where Vincent Gallo does this thing, [in Gallo's American accent] "Two shots, two beers." So every time I buy drinks, I go "Two shots, two beers!" I love that film so much.

Corky Romano Corky Romano. I love that film. Literally, that's one of the only films I've pissed my pants at. Like, I actually pissed my pants. The first time I was in L.A. I was watching it on TV. The scene where he's on coke...was literally the only thing that they advertised, it was like the only point of the whole movie! I love that character. I love how Chris Kattan just stripped his whole career in one movie. The only guy off Saturday Night Live who just messed it up! It's like, what happened? The only guy. That's why I think it's so great. I also love the behind-the-scenes stuff on the DVD where none of the crew are laughing; the director's [hiding] and he's telling Chris Kattan, "Just do something funny, just make Chris Penn laugh," and none of the crew think it's funny at all. And you can tell Chris Kattan is just freaking out. Also, he had that vein, which I have [Pattinson points to his forehead] which pops out of his head. I can really relate to him.

ivan's xtc. A film called ivan's xtc. It's a Danny Huston film. That's what I've been watching obsessively recently. It's amazing; Danny Huston should have gotten nominated for an Oscar for it. It's about an agent in Hollywood, and it's kind of a dumb movie before Huston comes in, and then literally is the best example of one performance elevating a movie. It was shot on digital video; it's all improvised. Just having him there, he's literally this -- I don't know, I can't even describe it. I've never seen a performance like it. He's flawless. And if you've ever met an agent, ever...

E-Online talks to Nikki about Rob

Rob's Bite Is Bigger Than You Think

Robert Pattinson was the babe of the ball at the Twilight premiere last night in Westwood. Pattin-hon’s costar Nikki Reed talked Rob with us while he was out taking pics with his near-fainting fans. “You know, the girls that are all yelling for Rob don’t know Rob. And if they did know Rob, they would still be screaming for him. What all these girls may not know is that he’s an avid reader; he’s really intelligent and he writes beautifully. I know he’s really beautiful to look at, but Rob’s a lot more complicated than that, and there’s a lot more to him.”

You can practically envision every Zac Efron photo being ripped down from every teen girl’s bedroom walls and a Pattinson poster being tacked up in its place. A lot more on the complex cutie later today and what drives him just crazy, trust.

Buzzsugar.com Interview

Did I mention that his accent is so charming it borders on dangerous? Um, anyway, on with the interview: (Dani's note-how do people form audible questions for him when that accent would have me on the floor in seconds-hummina, hummina)

From your perspective, what is the appeal of vampires right now, anyway?
I’m not entirely sure, because I was never really a vampire fan. I mean, I don't have anything against vampires [laughs]. I think in Twilight, it's something to do with having this sort of protector character who can't reveal to anyone else and has this whole commitment to Bella, which is why a lot of girls like it. But I think also it is that kind of attraction of having this incredibly powerful being. It’s the perfect template, vampires, for having any kind of mysterious creature. Every single stereotype — that they can only come out at night, they have a dark secret you can only find out if you die — it's all to do with being seduced. It's not really to do with brute force. Plus, there aren’t that many supernatural things that are attractive. You can’t really have, like, a sexy zombie.

Any thoughts on Team Edward vs. Team Jacob yet?
[Laughs] Not really. I haven’t really . . . I don’t know. My agent started wearing a Team Edward badge.

This is a huge role that you're launching into. Do you have any fear about only being seen as Edward forever more?
I haven’t so far. I've been so involved in the whole Twilight thing I haven’t really had the chance to separate that. I guess I'll have a very different perspective when the movie comes out — we'll see how it does. I mean it's definitely changed my career a lot. People take me more seriously, I guess, in the industry. I'm not particularly worried. Maybe I will be when I haven't got a job for five years!

Go HERE to see the full article-I picked out the good stuff.
