28 Reasons...

Why Twilight the movie is better than Twilight the book.

New York Entertainment Magazine gives 28 reasons why Twilight the movie is better than the book. I think SM's book stands on its own just fine, but these reasons were simply hilarious. Check out a few below. And yes I know this is not just Rob related but laugh already his movie comes out tonight!!!

"First of all, the demands of compressing a 500-page book into a two-hour movie mean that most of the boring scenes of Edward brooding about stuff have been cut. In fact, for the entire middle third of the movie, Edward seems happy most of the time, which Robert Pattinson frankly plays a lot better than he does the dark, serious looks."

"When Bella's mom hears that her daughter has a boyfriend, she demands, "Are you being safe?" We foresee a whole new tie-in line of armor-plated Twilight condoms!"

"We guess because the movie was made by non-Mormons, there's a joke about Speedo-stuffing! And two jokes about boobs."

"For no apparent reason, the alluring young waitress who can't stop flirting with Edward in Port Angeles has been transformed into a weird hipster chick with a hilarious bouffant."

"Due to Edward's chastity, at every point in the movie where you're expecting a sex scene, the filmmakers are forced to show long sequences of Edward and Bella lying down and staring soulfully at each other. They're even shot just like sex scenes! It's impossible to explain just how funny this is onscreen."

"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb," Bella says. In the book, you just roll your eyes. In the movie theater, everyone cheers wildly."

Boston.com Twilight reviews

Stellar review for Rob's performance.

"And Pattinson is good - close to a revelation, in fact. It's the silliest of roles, really, since Edward has to be noble, messed-up, dangerous, and a sweetie-pie all at once, but the young British-trained actor makes it work by letting us see the absurdity of this vampire boy's life. He knows when to step on the gas and when to hit the brakes - both he and Stewart underplay their lines to keep them from tipping into comedy - and he conveys above all the pain of being, literally, forever young. At times, Edward shivers like James Dean without his jacket. He's a rebel without a pulse."

USA Today-Rob answers the fan's questions

Robert Pattinson, who stars in Twilight as hunky vampire Edward Cullen, has found himself the object of increasing fan fervor as the film made its way to theaters. USA TODAY's Susan Wloszczyna caught up with Pattinson and tossed him a few questions, some of them from fans of the book series.

Q: Did you have any concerns about not living up to fan expectations of what Edward is like?
A: I never saw it as a vampire. I saw it as a guy with something in him that makes him terrified of commitment. He is extremely passionate and has very little self-control. He is with a girl he can't have a physical relationship with and she keeps tempting him.
Q: Did you study up on any old vampire movies for inspiration?
A: I've seen a few, but I'm not really a fan. I saw the original Nosferatu, but he definitely isn't dating material. My kind of preparation was not to talk to anyone for a long time. Edward would be so bored with any kind of human interaction. He would not feel like he was part of the human world and doesn't care about other people's reactions.
Q: You and Kristen Stewart, who plays love interest Bella, have said you watched Last Tango in Parisas homework. Any other films put you in the mood forTwilight?
A: With Tango, it is about a girl who doesn't fully realize the consequences of her decision. It is the dark side of the coin. I also watched Ang Lee's Lust, Caution and (Hitchcock's) Notorious. And a lot of Japanese films. They are a lot more about stillness, proximity rather than following through. It is what happens before a sex scene.
Q: Are you hoping that there will be a movie of New Moon, thenext book in the series?
A: I like the second book a lot. In the second one, Edward is a very different character. I'm looking forward to showing the difference in his physicality as I let my discipline and control go.
Q: What do you think about fans urging Lorne Michaels atSaturday Night Liveto have you on as the host and music talent? Would you do it?
A: It hasn't been offered, but I would be quite scared.
Q: If you got to play the main character of another book, what would it be?
A: Money by Martin Amis. I could do it in about 20 years.
Q: What is all this talk about you not washing your hair for months on end?
A: People are scared of my hair. But it starts washing itself after about three weeks. I'm just saying that. But, yeah, if it doesn't look dirty, why wash it?
Q: If you became a vampire for real, what age would you like to be frozen?
A: Maybe 35. People who are frozen at 17, everyone treats you like you are 17 all the time. At 35, you are between old and young. (Dani's note-ROB!!! 35 is no where near in the middle of old and young!)
Q: Would you like to be able to hear people's thoughts, like Edward?
A: Not at all.
Q: What are your next projects.
A:I have two movies coming out. Little Ashes, a drama in which I play Salvador Dali, and How to Be, a comedy. Tiny things.

Rob interview on Seattle radio

The ladies room(a Seattle radio station) interview with Rob is HERE. The women interviewing him are really annoying.

More of Rob at the Today Show

He does look like he is thinking about something all the time...and yes it is quite sexy.

Blasted Hell he is gorgeous!

How does she not just jump out and plant one on that wonderful mouth of his?
Girl has willpower that puts us all to shame.

Rob at Gucci/Unicef Event

Okay I'm gonna get a little creepy here but I just want to see/watch him sleep. Can he look more tired? :(

UsMagazine asked him a couple of questions at the event:

"I think I'll go back to London for a bit, and hide out," the London-born actor told Usmagazine.com of his post-premiere plans at the Gucci/UNICEF event in NYC on Wednesday.

But Pattinson, who plays sexy vampire Edward Cullen in the book-turned-movie (out Nov. 21), is in no huge rush to leave the U.S.

"Here, in America, you feel like you are actually doing a proper movie!" he told Us.

Okay I'm posting like a crazy person today but there's a lot to post :-)

6 Excuses for Adults to see Twilight

I think %60 of us on this blog can use this excuse:

Excuse #6: You're a cougar, and your group of red-hatted, Samantha-from-Sex-in-the-City-worshipping gal-pals are interested in checking out the new Hollywood meat, i.e. sexy vamp 22-year-old Robert Pattinson. WARNING: If you are a dude, this excuse does not work for you. Gathering a group of brohams to go scope out 18-year-old Kristen Stewart - whom you've had a crush on since Zathura - is very, very creepy. Yes, we know that's a double-standard, but we're just trying to keep you off the sex offender list. Please be careful.

HERE is the rest of the list.

Kristen Stewart: Why Robert Pattinson Is the Sexiest Vampire Alive

From people.com
As "Twilighters" swoon with anticipation for the vampire flick's Nov. 21 opening day – almost 2,000 screenings are already sold out – Kristen Stewart says leading man Robert Pattinson has the killer looks for the job.

Stewart, who plays heroine Bella Swan in the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's bestselling saga, agrees that her costar – featured in PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive issue – is "pretty sexy."

"Oh, he's like a little tortured artist. He's British. He's tall," the 18-year-old actress says. "He always looks like he's thinking about something. And he's quite witty. So he's pretty sexy."

and a bit from Rob about the proposal:

"I can't remember proposing to her," Pattinson says, adding that he pops the question to women as a "good conversation starter."

"It used to be my thing, I would propose all the time," Pattinson says. "Just go up to someone, you know, and say I love you or ask them to marry you. It always works."

Robert Pattinson could probably create an army of teenage girls and destroy us all

www.socialitelife.com is my favorite gossip site. They are witty and use judgment when posting stuff that is too personal and or damaging. Anyways, here is what they wrote about Rob today. Thanks to Angela for the tip :-) (EDIT: What I posted is from thesuperficial.com not socialitelife.com. I should stop smoking weed so early in the day :PP)

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, stars of the movie Twilight, stopped by The Today Show this morning where they took questions from a maniacal gaggle of teenage girls. You could tell in the video (after the jump) Robert Pattinson was definitely broadsided by his new heartthrob status. I almost feel bad for the guy. If anyone knows what it's like to wake up every morning knowing the whole world wants to do you, It's me. Yet somehow I persevere - for the children.

NOTE: Insanity kicks in around the 7:00 mark. Kudos to Robert Pattinson for attempting to understand the crazy then quickly realizing these chicks wouldn't think twice about wearing his skin as a coat.

DeadBolt Interview With Robert Pattinson

Nothing new in the interview except these.

Although you can make the comparison to the Harry Potter films in terms of frenzied excitement, Robert Pattinson has much more of a rock star persona than Daniel Radcliffe ever did.

Can we talk about the baseball scene real quick, because we heard that you didn't really know how to play? Did they teach you to play baseball?

PATTINSON: Absolutely... I'm terrible at baseball, yeah. And Catherine wanted me so desperately to be like a pro baseball player for some reason. And I was just like, "Why? He's not a pro baseball player, he's a vampire. Why would he be a pro baseball player?" [laughs] And I just didn't understand it. So I kept fighting everyone the whole time and I was like, "He can be crap. He doesn't even need to be able to play. He doesn't need to know the rules, doesn't even need a bat." I don't know.

So everybody hated it and I kept arguing and arguing it. And everybody found it really annoying, because I wouldn't do my 'ready' position. Then, I don't know... I had a coach teach me how to do a ready position and I was just like, "It's a squat. Stop calling it a ready position." So every time Catherine had a problem with blocking at any point during the rest of the shoot, I'd be like, "I really think doing a ready position would help this scene. I'm in the corner doing the ready position." Yeah, I'm terrible at baseball.

Sexiest Man Alive

Rob! What are you wearing?

InStyle has the answer:

Robert Pattinson looked to Marc Jacobs for his all-black ensemble, but attributed his signature disheveled 'do to a "nervous tic" rather than a styling technique. "It doesn't take any time at all!" the Brit said, claiming that he gets the look simply by running his hands through his (seldom washed) hair. "I've never had so many people say, 'It must be mousse!'"

Spoiler-New Scene

It's in Italian and it's a spoiler. Since I don't watch these things let me know if I post the same thing later on thinking it's new :-)

Rob braves the cold in NYC

"Twilight Stars Make A Stop In NYC"
Thats his "oooooooohwweeeee this place is cold,
it's freezin' my beans off" face.

This morning Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson made an appearance bright and early on NBC's, "The Today Show". In order not to make their fans wait too long, they arrived about an hour into the show and sat down with Meredith Vieira, one of the hosts of "The Today Show", to discuss "Twilight".

Although the weather was very well near freezing, the stars even took a trip outside to take questions from the fans and sign some autorgraphs. Kristen Stewart even ignored some security telling her to go inside and came over to the fans to say hello.

Good to know the excitement and fame hasn't gotten to their heads....yet. (Dani's note-it won't these two are good eggs)

That is the smile I like to call "The heart melter"

DailyMail Review-Rob is why Twilight works.

On the whole, "Twilight" works as both love story and vampire story, thanks mainly to the performances of its principals. Pattinson and Stewart want to convince you that their characters are an undead freak and the girl who, against all logic, loves him. Yet they do it not by selling you on what makes Edward and Bella so different, but by finding their flesh-and-blood humanity.
It's enough to make even a grown man eager for the inevitable sequel.

The Today Show

P.S. I f you can't play the video here is the youtube link just incase :)

Roger Ebert reviews Twilight

The movie is lush and beautiful, and the actors are well-chosen. You may recall Robert Pattinson (Edward) as Cedric Diggory, who on Voldemort's orders was murdered in a graveyard in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." Maybe he was already a vampire. Pattinson is not unaware of how handsome he is. When Bella and Edward, still strangers, exchange stern and burning looks in the school cafeteria, he transfixes her with a dark and glowering - nay, penetrating - stare. I checked Pattinson out on Google Images and found he almost always glowers at the camera 'neath shadowed brow. Kristen Stewart's Bella, on the other hand, is a fresh-faced innocent who is totally undefended against his voltage.

Rob on the Today Show
