Little Ashes Movement - Last Post

Every good thing must come to an end. We started this movement in April and ran it everyday for 1.5 months then had to stop for personal reasons. I believe we did all we could at this point. Thank you all so much for calling, emailing and requesting Little Ashes. Thanks to YOU a lot of venues added Little Ashes to their schedule! Fan movements can make a big difference and you all proved that. We got official "thank you"s from Little Ashes. We made it happen. I'm getting all teary eyed here. This movement meant a lot to me. Thanks for all your support. So here is our last post. Let's give one final push! Call your theaters today, email them, request Little Ashes today. What is The Little Ashes Movement?

It's a fan movement. We provided a list of theaters(HERE) including the theaters that are already scheduled to play Little Ashes. If it's not playing at a theater near you you need to call and request Little Ashes from the theater listed.

It's as simple as that. We made it happen at a lot of theaters in US. Theaters left us messages saying "okay don't call anymore we ARE scheduling the movie" :)

YOU can make it happen. If there is a number we've listed in your area call and ask them if they will be showing Little Ashes, if they say no then politely ask them to look into it since it's a great movie with Robert Pattinson and you and tons of other people would really love to see it.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson may be one of the most — if not the most — sought-after actor by both photographers and fans, but that doesn't mean the 23-year-old hunk is going to hide out behind the gates of some walled-in compound. In fact, R-Patts loves hanging out with his friends — and he isn't going to let stardom stop him.

Around 11:15pm on Wednesday night, Robert and a group of pals, including good friend, actor Tom Sturridge, his Twilight mom Elizabeth Reaser and actress Eva Mendes, were all enjoying themselves at NYC's Bowery Bar, throwing back a few Peroni beers and nibbling on pizza between trips outside to enjoy an occasional smoke. These four were also joined by three others, a blonde woman and two guy friends.

Despite partying with the sexy Twilight star, one witness tells OK! that Eva appeared to have her eyes set on Sturridge. "They were chatting non-stop and laughing the whole time," says the source.

Rob, dressed in a black hoodie and matching hat, got up from his table on the bar's patio several times to take some phone calls. According to another partier, he spent a good deal of the night chatting with Elizabeth, who celebrates her 34th birthday on June 15.

One insider at the bar overheard Rob joking to the blonde woman in their group that having a British accent gets you points with American girls — yeah, because being the super-hot star of a wildly popular movie franchise doesn't get you anywhere...

Just before 1am, it was time for Eva to make her exit. "She hugged and kissed everyone goodbye and left," says one bargoer.

The rest of the group lingered for another 30 minutes, finally leaving around 1:30am.
"As they were walking out, the girls were joking that they'll pretend to be Rob's publicist if people were outside," one insider tells OK!.

Lucky for him, there was only one photographer waiting outside, so he was able to slip into a cab by himself without having to fight off a throng of paparazzi.

Rob: New Moon definitely feels like it's a big movie.

As a spoilerphobe I miss the good ole days of Twilight when I could stay away from spoilers. I managed to keep completely spoiler free, didn't even watch the trailers before the movie and now I feel like I know every damn thing... I guess I shouldn't be an ungrateful bitch and thank God for this spoiler:))

UNIVERSAL CITY, California — It's one of the most anticipated films of 2009 and already has hundreds of fan sites devoted to it. Now, the stars of "New Moon" are revealing details about key scenes from the flick that will surprise even the most die-hard fans.

"There's definitely a difference in scale," marveled Robert Pattinson when we caught up with him recently. "I liked doing 'Twilight,' but it felt very much like an indie movie — and ['New Moon'] definitely feels like it's a big movie."

"Kristen [Stewart] and Taylor [Lautner] had to lobby to get this one scene in the film that wasn't originally in — and I am forever indebted to them for that," revealed Mike Welch, citing a beloved moment from Stephenie Meyer's "New Moon" novel. "There's a scene that's in the book, the three-way date between Jacob and Bella and Mike, where Mike ends up getting sick, and it's just very awkward."

As for how physically ill Welch's Mike Newton gets in the comic-relief scene, he said we shouldn't expect projectile vomit or anything. "We're talking a little bit," he laughed. "A little sick."

"We did a lot of improv on set," Lautner said. "We'd just be in a random forest and, after Jacob transforms [into a wolf], he all of a sudden becomes very agile, and I wanted to show that, because pre-transformation, he's clumsy. But as soon as he transforms, he's agile. So we'd be in a random forest, and I'd be looking around going, 'What can I do to show Jacob's agility in here?'

"Sometimes [director] Chris [Weitz] would be like, 'No, Taylor, we don't want you getting hurt, spraining an ankle,' " Lautner recalled. "But I was like, 'Well, how about I just jump off that and then jump through this?' And he was like, 'All right, give it a shot.' "

The immensely popular "New Moon" trailer gives us a peek at Lautner's athleticism. It also gives us our first look at the infamous birthday scene — a moment that actor Jackson Rathbone had been eager to shoot ever since he landed the role of anguished vampire Jasper Hale.

"He unleashed the madness; it was crazy," Peter Facinelli remembered of the day when Rathbone finally got to display his inner animal and attack Kristen Stewart's Bella. "It took me and Kellan — non-acting — to hold him back."

Elizabeth Reaser also got knocked over during the violent take. "Jasper, played by Jackson Rathbone, kinda loses it when Bella cuts herself," Kellan Lutz recalled. "It's fun to work with your friends and see a side of them that you really don't expect. That's where the acting comes into play. Jackson did an amazing job portraying that scene, and it was fun being my character to try and stop him."

Speaking of favorite scenes, Greene also got to shoot hers — a high-octane moment where Alice Cullen steals a yellow Porsche in Italy. "It was really fun. I worked with a stuntman before actually driving it and learned how to do a bunch of unnecessary things that were fun, like fishtailing, and he was gonna teach me drifting," Greene laughed. "I drove it in a scene and came about 2 inches from the wall!"

"I hate you," a jealous Lutz joked.

"I know," Greene said. "Oh, my gosh — everyone does right now!"

"[The whole film] looks completely different, so it'll be interesting," Pattinson said, looking forward to the November 20 "New Moon" release. "I'm very curious to see what it looks like."

All sorts of things, according to cast members of the Twilight series, the second of which, New Moon, recently wrapped after shooting on location in Canada and Italy. Here, actors in both films dish on some of the facts – and fiction – about the lives of the Twilight stars.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Have Hidden Talents
"Rob's an incredible guitarist and vocalist. [And] Kristen can really play guitar," reveals Jackson Rathbone, 24, who plays vampire Jasper Hale. "They're really multi-talented artists." (Gozde: Yeah, it's seriously hidden with Rob having 2 songs on the soundtrack :))

In fact, the cast's musical interests helped the everyone bond, says Rathbone, a member of the band 100 Monkeys: "Rob Pattinson and Kristen and Nikki [Reed] would do a lot of jam sessions, and Kellan [Lutz] and Ashley [Greene] and Peter [Facinelli] would all hang out in the hotel room and play music and hang out on the set."


Kristen and Rob Have Chemistry – On and Off Screen
The pair – who play a couple on screen – were seen smooching in Vancouver recently, but their cast mates insist there is no hot-and-heavy romance – yet, anyway.(Gozde: Well this actually really surprised me. I thought people was a "confirm and publish" magazine. WERE they seen smooching in Vancouver? Have I been living under a rock?)

"Obviously there's chemistry: They're Bella and Edward!" says Justine Wachsberger, 24, who plays vampire sympathizer Gianna in the film. But "they just seem like great friends."

Rathbone adds that whenever the cast is together, Pattinson and Stewart "didn't treat each other any differently [than the other cast members]. We're all equals in the room. It's like a family.”

The Most Talked-About Relationship on Set Was ... a Bromance
"Me and Mike [Welch] (Mike Newton in New Moon)," jokes Justin Chon, 28, who plays Bella's pal Eric Yorkie. "Me and Mike had a bromance. We just loved to hang out together and talk about stupid things."

The Cast Is Still Grounded
Twilight actors with big and small roles all hang together at least part of the time, and they shared a love of exploring the beauty of the locations in Canada and Italy.

"You would expect diva behavior from them since they're so big now, but they're really nice and down to earth," says Wachsberger.

Fans Should Be Salivating for New Moon
"I think it's going to be better than the first one," says Chon. "I think [director] Chris Weitz is going to do a really good job with it. I was really impressed. I think it's going to be amazing."

Adds Wachsberger: "I can't give away any spoilers, but expect the unexpected.

The Irish Have Claim on Rob's Sexiness

Teenage girls (and probably a whole lot of adult women) LOVE “Twilight’s” Edward Cullen – which means they love real-live Robert Pattinson, who plays the much-desired vampire in the “Twilight” movies, even more.

So what is it about Pattinson that 14-year-olds worldwide are swooning over? Is it his brooding expression, his sexily disheveled coif, his British charm?

Or is it the fact that the 23-year-old actor looks like an elderly Irish drunkard?

According to Pattinson, it was his captivating drunk Irish looks that nabbed him the coveted role of Cullen in the “Twilight” film franchise.

Back in November 2008, Metromix asked Pattinson why he thinks he stood out from the 5,000+ actors who auditioned for the role of Edward Cullen.(Gozde: You can find the whole metromix interview HERE)

“I think because a lot of people are willing to go in and play some kind of Adonis. And they have the body and everything,” he said.

“There’s a lot of guys, especially in L.A., who can walk down the street and look like some kind of Greek god, statuesque guy. [And that's not me.] Especially not last year. I was like this chubby-looking.

“I looked kind of like an old, Irish alcoholic.”

And there you have it, folks. What’s Edward Cullen’s secret for landing roles and impressing the ladies? He maintains his Shane MacGowan-esque appearance.

Pattinson went on to talk about how uncomfortable he was in the “perfect” Edward Cullen role, and he is quite endearing while explaining how he secured the role.

“How uncomfortable I felt trying to play this perfect guy, it kind of inspired my performance when I was in the room ’cause I had no idea how to play it,” he said.

“And I [was] this kind of broken, totally self-conscious person who hardly said anything. And I think they misinterpreted the whole thing, thinking I was this really intense, really passionate guy. And I just had no idea what I was doing.”

Either way, if Edward Cullen/Robert Pattinson says something works, then it must be true – so thanks, RPattz, for making old Irish drunks cool!

Catherine Wants to Cast Rob as Bird Boy :)

Under the watchful eye and creative mind of director Catherine Hardwicke, "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have gone from virtual unknowns to superstar celebrities. And if Hardwicke has her way, the trio not only have a past and present together, but a future as well.

"There's a few projects in the future that I hope we get to work together on," Hardwicke revealed to us on the red carpet of Hollywood Life's Young Hollywood Awards. "We'll see."

The red-hot filmmaker with the largest opening weekend for any female director was in attendance to pick up a Dream Director award, just one week after "Twilight" dominated the MTV Movie Awards. "We had fun that night," she laughed. "Lots of yummy popcorn!"

When we spoke with her recently, she listed the four high-profile projects she's developing as KStew and RPattz continue work on the "Twilight" saga. "We've got 'Maximum Ride,' " she said. "That's a really wild, big-action fantasy film with bird kids. Then I have a cool project at Overture with Emile Hirsch that's a modern retelling of 'Hamlet' — a very radical version. According to Hardwicke, she's planning to solicit Pattinson and/or Stewart for roles in the fantasy films "Ride" and "Stay."

"Some of the projects I'm doing, they would be in a completely different world — actually, sometimes even in a different time period," Hardwicke said of the two films, which could return Stewart and Pattinson to the young-adult-fantasy realm that made them famous. "That would be fun. I'd love to do a number on them and transform them."

"Maximum Ride" is based on a series of James Patterson novels telling the story of six teens who are genetically altered to become part bird and part human. "If I Stay" seems particularly suitable for Stewart, since it tells the story of a 17-year-old musician named Mia. A huge fan of music, KStew will soon play Joan Jett in the film "The Runaways."

Recently, Hardwicke took MTV for a rare tour inside her house, where she cast Stewart and Pattinson after a particularly sultry audition on her bed. And while speaking to us Sunday night, she once again marveled at how far the duo have come since those early days.

"They've definitely gotten more and more confident in themselves. Obviously, that day was awkward — to just meet somebody, and then you need to kiss them right then. And especially because Kristen had to kiss three other guys, poor thing," she laughed. "I think that they've become more self-confident and strong with the camera. And they're just beautiful and blossoming. They've always been very deep. They always go deep into their characters and care about it. Their core is the same"

VOTE: Franco vs. Pattinson for Buckley Role

Two of the hottest men in Hollywood are going head-to-head to play musician Jeff Buckley in the biopic.

BlackBook reports "New Moon's" ferocious lover Robert Pattinson and "Milk" star turned Columbia grad student James Franco are both vying for the Buckley role.

Buckley, the son of singer Tim Buckley, gained popularity in the early '90s and died tragically in a 1997 accidental drowning in Memphis at age 30.

Edi: I’ve figured it out! This is the reason: because they grow up watching American television. You don’t grow up watching British television. And Australians are the same way. Australians, pound-for-pound are the best actors in the world right now. Come on! Kidman, Jackman, Ledger. They have an advantage. They get to dip in both worlds. So I think I’m going to study in England for a few years.

What a Load of Crap: OK Magazine Cover

I'm so tired of this...

The so unreliable OK magazine (which publishes interviews that did NOT take place, it was UK OK! that published but they are the same mag, different countries) has a new cover and I am posting it in the name of fair bloggerism :) My thoughts? I said it here before...

On June 1, the morning after their smoldering, almost-but-not-quite kiss at the MTV Movie Awards, Twilight twosome Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart stayed in a 1920s bungalow at The Charlie, a West Hollywood hotel named for onetime resident Charlie Chaplin.

Fittingly, they bunked in a cottage called the Valentino – as in Rudolph, the silent-screen romantic idol – and it made for an idyllic nest, with its two bedrooms, two baths, full kitchen and even a quaint window seat.

"They were very sweet together," an insider tells OK! of Kristen and Robert. "They were lovely."

But before the vampire saga's global fan base gets all dewy-eyed, there's a bit of a glitch: Kristen, by all accounts, is still involved with her longtime boyfriend, Michael Angarano. The results? A love triangle of Brangelinian proportions.

Clearly, something's got to give – and insiders tell OK! that "Edward" has handed his "Bella" an ultimatum: Make up your mind, or drive a stake through it; we're done.

"Robert is completely frustrated. If Kristen isn't interested in a serious relationship, she needs to tell him so he can move on," says one source, adding that R-Patts, 23, is giving 19-year-old Kristen a couple months to sort things out while he's in NYC filming Remember Me, an indie flick about star-crossed lovers (production begins June 15).

The actor wants a resolution by the time he and Kristen reunite in Vancouver this fall to shoot Eclipse.

"He's asked her to choose between him and Michael this summer," says the source. "Robert's not willing to be strung along."

13 Reasons why smart girls love Robert Pattinson

Connie Ann Kirk lists 13 Reasons why smart girls love Rob on examiner.com and I added the pictures. Enjoy:

It's no mystery that, like many girls, smart girls love actor/musician, Robert Pattinson, but you may not know why.

You're seeing his photo splashed on the covers of magazines at the check-out counter. You may have even seen him get zapped by an evil wizard and die in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire or reluctantly fall in love after 100+ years of searching for the right one in Twilight.

You may get the general vibe that there's something about this guy that sets girls' hearts racing (and some of their embarrassed moms, too; truth be told), but you may be dumbfounded why even the smartest girls you know--those who might rather die than be called a 'fangirl'--also seem to love this British actor so very, very much.

There are a few reasons why.

Well, maybe a baker's dozen or so.

We'll keep it to 13.

Before we begin, it is important to note one thing about smart girls and Robert Pattinson. They know the difference between Robert Pattinson, the actor, and Edward Cullen, his character in Twilight.

Ok, with that caveat out of the way, let's begin:

1.) The first reason why is obvious. Smart girls aren't dumb when it comes to embracing tall, good looks; they just want to be sure there is something more behind what they see. In Pattinson's case, there is.

2.) Smart girls love talent. If a man can make them forget their troubles for awhile, or even better, enlighten them or carry them to a new place through a story or a song (both of which Mr. Pattinson can do), then he has their attention, admiration, and in some cases, a growing devotion. More than one talent? Double points. Robert Pattinson has double points. He is an actor, but he is also a talented musician and singer/songwriter.

3.) Humility scores big. It doesn't take an above-average intelligence to feel all warm and fuzzy when someone who is clearly more talented or better looking than the average person does not seem to know it (or show it, if he does)--and above all, does not take it for granted that you think he is above average in anything. Bravado doesn't cut it with the typical smart girl. She gets bored with it quicker than it takes the guy who is full of it to even realize he needs to get over himself. Pattinson is also not particularly sporty and gets teased by his co-stars when he gets hurt easily doing stunts. Many smart girls (at least, those who are not also student athletes) can relate to that.

4.) Robert Pattinson reads. Newsflash! Well, it's true. Smart girls read, and smart guys do, too. Readers share a special bond that is stronger than a lot of other things guys could do to try to attract girls. If some guys only knew. A lot of guys--a lot--do not read much. (A lot of girls don't either, for that matter, but we're talking especially right now about those who do). In interviews, Pattinson has talked about books he's read and has observed that several of the films he's appeared in so far happen to come from books.

5.) He has a great sense of humor. Pattinson makes people laugh. Watch a YouTube interview of Robert Pattinson--almost any one of them. The guy has a sense of humor that just won't quit, and best of all, it's self-deprecating. He's the kind of guy smart girls want to take home to their parents because they have absolutely no doubt in their minds that they will like him. Charm and a sense of humor go hand-in-hand.

6.) He knows how to be a gentleman and when. Somehow, to Americans, it goes with the charming British accent thing, but, more importantly, it shows a good upbringing. Robert Pattinson appears to have good instincts for when to be silly and when to be respectful. The maturity to know the difference is unusual for someone his age, and smart girls, who also tend to be rather mature for their ages, appreciate that. The British accent thing? Well, let's just say that smart girls know that one British accent does not a gentleman make, but perhaps the nerdiest among them may also take a special pleasure in the fact that Robert speaks perfect Queen's English and not in a more folksy, Cockney dialect (Americans are not generally aware of the social class bias that can sometimes get tied up with this distinction in England).

7.) He listens, and he's articulate. Watch him in a YouTube interview again. Do you see him listening to the questions carefully? Do you see him thinking about an answer rather than always blurting out the first thing that comes to mind? Do you see him try to give a fresh answer to the same question he's been asked 1.2 million times already? Smart girls see these traits and appreciate the actor's efforts to communicate thoughtfully, sincerely, and well. In the listening department as well, it doesn't hurt that he knows music so well that he can recommend an eclectic list of good musicians and songwriters that smart girls might not have yet heard of and would like to know more about.

8.) He thinks. Wow--another newsflash (he walks; he talks--LOL!). This reason, though, is also evident in his interviews. Robert appears to want to give a thoughtful response to questions asked of him most of the time. His answers themselves sound like they are from a person who thinks about subjects beyond sports scores or fast food. It makes one want to read something that Robert may have written. It is said that he has kept journals and written screenplays. It shows. Catherine Hardwicke, Twilight director, says he has, or is, an "old soul." Smart girls get what that means.

9.) He's a kind and generous public figure and friend. Anyone who allows fangirls to take pictures with him endlessly when he is out on his own time and not at a public function cannot be called anything but kind and generous. Pattinson's friendships--old and new--seem to indicate that he is a loyal and trusted friend. He is already using his newfound fame to help open up opportunities for his British friends' careers (musicians who co-wrote songs with him that ended up on the Twilight soundtrack, for example).

10.) He's not perfect. Pattinson's got a bit of an edge that keeps him from being totally perfect. He smokes (which might be one reason not to bring him home). He embraces the British habit of going out to pubs almost nightly, and he doesn't seem to care who sees him there. He's himself, which smart girls love. He's not trying to be someone he's not to fit into someone else's image of who he should be. It's called being genuine, flaws and all. There's something a little dangerous, a little unpredictable about him, too. Catherine Hardwicke, director of Twilight saw it, and it was one reason why she cast him as Edward Cullen.

11.) He's not afraid to show his vulnerability. Pattinson is said to be quite shy. Certainly, his soft spokenness and nervous ticks in interviews (combing his fingers through his hair, among them) seems to validate this. How 'manly' is it, then, when someone that shy is also that comfortable with himself that he can admit he has areas in his life that are in conflict with one another, like everyone else? Mr. Pattinson's sensitivity will serve him well as an artist. His good-natured goofiness will serve him well in making friends. The combination of the two will likely appeal to people in power in the entertainment industry.

12.) He's creative, has ideas and ambition. Pattinson will continue to surprise audiences for at least the next few years with the film roles he decides to take on outside of the Twilight saga. Right now, much of his career is dependent on those choices, and he seems like the kind of actor who will be thoughtful in making those choices, if he chooses to stay with acting at all. Those who have worked with him say he is a hard worker.

13.) The whole Hollywood thing does not overly impress him. You get the feeling Robert Pattinson could leave all of this newfound fame and glitz behind him tonight if he found a different means of expression or a line of work that interested him more. Not being tied to chasing fame and fortune is an admirable quality that smart girls--and people of all kinds--find unusual and admirable. True or not to how he is in real life, this is Robert Pattinson's public persona as it stands right now. Of course, it could change in an instant, and in this Internet age, the change would ripple around the world in a matter of minutes, and the tide could turn against him. When people talk about the pressure of fame, it might have something to do with maintaining a likable persona, even when you're tired of it--unless the persona is not a persona at all--it's the way you really are.

Smart girls know that, too, which is why they temper their love for this actor/musician with a curiosity about their own worlds and a zest for their own lives. They know it's fun to get a little short of breath, or a little weak in the knees when a new picture of Robert Pattinson shows up in front of their eyes yet again, but their feet still remain firmly planted on the ground.

Smart girls (and some of their blushing moms, as well as interested women of all ages) are keeping their eyes on their favorite actor, Robert Pattinson these days--not only for the enjoyment from what they see, but also to watch with interest for what the talented actor/musician chooses to do next.

What's that? Not feeling particularly smart, but still love Robert Pattinson? Join the club! What's that? You're a smart girl, you say, and you don't love Robert Pattinson? Well, you're entitled to your educated opinion, of course, but I know a few other smart girls who might ask you for 13 reasons why.

Fan Report from Last Night in NYC

Here is a report from one of our readers. She is legit, the report/sighting/hearsay is true. She was very respectful to Rob and she didn't want me to share the location so I won't :)

Some sites reported a Rob sighting at a bar with a blond woman last night (vague enough?) Well we uncover the mystery blond :)) Here is a hint:

I was at a bar last night and Rob was there with TomStu and Emilie de Ravin and about 5 other young hipster types with accents. He and TomStu left their black hoodies up the whole time and he and Emilie were chatty in a friendly way. (Gozde: The unabomber look is the new chic) He is tall and very skinny in person and the smile is just unreal. They seemed to be
having fun.

I didn't get there til 12:15 AM, but they were there when I got there and didn't leave til 2 am. TomStu, Emilie and Rob left together. Not a single person asked for an autograph or a picture. Everyone just let him be. There were also a few other celebs at the bar (which is tiny, btw)...including Danny Masterson, Ben Foster and Alexis Dziena.

Such a small, dark place and he was surrounded by friends at all times. I just knew it would ruin everything if he saw me take a pic -for him and for me! I still can't believe he was just chillin there for so long without any interuption and I was right there chillin too.

Funfact: I have never been happier to be a smoker (I know, I know). The smoking area was small and a lot of people were crammed in, so at one point I had to squeeze past Rob and say "excuse me", to even get into the designated area (the bouncer was mean about everyone cramming in and not spilling into the sidewalk), which earned me a smile and polite step to the side.

Other Funfact: I was almost as starstruck by TomStu as I was for Rob! He was discussing his favorite books with someone outside in this little smoker's area and sounded so passionate and informed. Love intellectual guys. The accent didn't hurt.
