DESPITE the best efforts of Summit Entertainment’s publicity team, which has a third “Twilight” movie to promote, it took more than a month to corral the heartthrob star of the franchise for an interview. Robert Pattinson, various handlers explained, was at the mercy of a chaotic shooting schedule for “Water for Elephants,” his biggest non-“Twilight” picture to date.
Fair enough. A guy’s got to work. But Mr. Pattinson was also not particularly eager to chat for the quadrillionth time about Edward Cullen, the tenderhearted vampire he will reprise on June 30 in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” When he was finally able to break away from the circus (the setting of “Water for Elephants,” not the throng of paparazzi and hyperventilating girls who trail him around), Mr. Pattinson seemed to have a bit of “Twilight” burnout.
“It can get a little boring,” he said softly over coffee at the Four Seasons hotel here, referring both to playing an unchanging vampire and to chewing over the Cultural Importance of It All. “The good news is that the whole thing is done in seven months.”

In an Interview with Easy Living Magaine (Uk) Kristin spoke about Rob and "Bel Ami"
And because it's a great excuse to post this pic and it's a while since we saw it.
I love Rob with a cane.
What would tempt you? (Kate: I know what would tempt me !)
I think I want to do something contemporary. I’m a bit fed up with corsets, to tell you the truth. I’m filming in a corset at the moment [in Bel Ami]. It’s a really great part: Declan Donnellan, the director, saw that I could perhaps do something else but be haughty and distant, which people always try to fit me into.
And now you’re working on an adaptation of Maupassant’s Bel Ami with a great cast: Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and boy of the moment Robert Pattinson.
He’s very sweet. We have all these squealing girls outside the set. So, for him, you stop work, then you step outside to not be an actor any more, but you’ve got to run this gauntlet of fans, when you’re desperate to get home. I would hate that. Once they say “cut”, I’m off. I’m going to the cinema after this [the interview], and I won’t get stopped, I won’t be bothered. It’ll be absolutely fine.
Is that something you contrived?
I never look the same as I do on screen, because film is flattering and perhaps real life isn’t? (She laughs.) People are like,’Oh my God, it’s not, is it?’ It is you know…
