Updated: Robert Pattinson Is NOT Recording An Album (Right Now)

UPDATED AGAIN

MTV News reached out to Pattinson's rep, who told us, "The report is untrue. He is not working on an album right now." (Kate: The RIGHT NOW bit is what I'm hearing, keep the faith people!)

Of course, that is not to say Pattinson might not record music someday — he has previously recorded "Never Think" and "Let Me Sign" for the original "Twilight" soundtrack — but it's not happening now.

When we caught up with "Breaking Dawn" director Bill Condon at Comic-Con, he confirmed that there would be some familiar musical themes weaved into the fourth film, courtesy of composer Carter Burwell, who scored the first movie. And while the director would not confirm Pattinson's inclusion on the soundtrack, he hinted that some of the musically inclined castmembers might lend their talents.

Robert Pattinson, rock star?

The British actor, 25, is prepping to record an album imminently, two sources tell Us Weekly.

"Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn't allow it," one insider explains of the superstar, who recorded two songs, "Never Think" (which he co-wrote with pal Sam Bradley) and "Let Me Sign" for the original Twilight soundtrack.

"Now he's got some weeks to get everything in line before going back to promoting Breaking Dawn."

But don't expect a chart-topping album (Kate: Wanna bet?) with broad mass appeal and a string of top 40 hits. "The album Rob will make will be guitar-based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop," explains a second source of the indie-music fan, "Like stripped-down Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison."

Pattinson frequently had hotel room jam sessions with other Twilight pals while shooting the flicks in Vancouver and elsewhere. His Twilight costar (and fellow musician) Jackson Rathbone said Kristen Stewart's man "loves to play the blues. He can hold his own on a guitar. We enjoyed jamming together when we had the time. Very humble and quiet guy.

"Music is his first love!" says the second source. (Kate: Who knew? Oh wait we all did, carry on....) "He's tortured because he avoids it. When he's sitting around jamming in the studio, it's his favorite moment of life."

To prep for the recording session, the guitar player has been "studying on on other instruments -- like piano and horns," the first source reveals. "It's an obsession for him."

I know it's USweekly but I SO want this to be true I really, really want this to happen. I want him to record his music. I know all of you feel the same. Just imagine it!!

I love when Robert Pattinson gets these kinds of mentions. When his name is floating around high profile or anticipated films. Will he get this role?

With Clooney as the American lead Napoleon Solo—giving the film the star power it needed—Soderbergh was essentially free to cast a lesser known in the secondary role. However, now that Clooney is out, Warner Bros. is putting an emphasis on big name actors for both roles, hence their desire for the likes of Gosling, Skarsgard and Gordon-Levitt. Of course, things are still at the wishlist level with only minor inquiries with agents about schedules, but this is the idea as of right now. WB is throwing other wishlist names around as well, including usual suspects like Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Pine, Christian Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jon Hamm, Russell Crowe and Robert Pattinson, hoping one of them will stick with the director.

You see those names?? Love it. I also know we are desperate to know Rob's next project *coughNick!cough* so we eat this stuff up.

Robert Pattinson At Jimmy Fallon's Emmys Party Last Night?

According to two reports Rob was at the afterparty looking like the hot hobo that we know he is.
There are no pics to prove it so it's just hearsay but have a read of the reports below the pic.

Robert Pattinson didn't attend the Emmys, but he made a surprise appearance at an A-list afterparty.

While Kristen Stewart has been busy sitting front row at Fashion Week in London, Rob took the solo opportunity to hit Jimmy Fallon's Emmy bash last night in Hollywood.

Most VIP guests—Lea Michele, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey and Minka Kelly—came straight from the show and were dressed to the nines.

But not R.Pattz (Kate: No because he doesn't need to dress up to look like a hot mess)
"He was wearing a baseball cap and street clothes hanging at the bar," a guest tells me. "No one even noticed he was there!" (Kate: Well obviously someone did or we wouldn't be reading this LOL)

Rob spent most of his night chatting with an older gentleman and managed to avoid the cameras.

Other partygoers were eager to get into more comfortable attire too, and hit up the Havaianas flip flops station, which Jimmy personally requested.

The Emmy party to be at on Sunday night was thrown by last year’s awards show host Jimmy Fallon. He held his bash at Trousdale in West Hollywood and brought out all of TV’s finest…and Robert Pattinson, too!

A very grizzly Rob, wearing his standard baseball cap, jeans, and jacket was with two friends and grabbed a drink at the bar. A partygoer inside tells us this:

“Rob was really mellow, he mostly kept to himself and the two people he was with, but he definitely was not in party mode,” says an insider.

Pattinson had dinner across the street before hitting Jimmy’s shindig around midnight.

“He blended in and no one bothered him,” says the insider adding Rob was super “low-key” at Jimmy’s party. Probably just missing his girlfriend Kristen!
