Deadline:

Werner Herzog’s epic Queen Of The Desert will also add star power at the Berlinale Palast with Nicole Kidman, James Franco, Damian Lewis and Robert Pattinson. The film is the story of Gertrude Bell, the Lawrence of Arabia of female diplomats and political attachĂ© for the British Empire at the dawn of the 20th century.

The Hollywood Reporter:

Germany's biggest film fest has announced a slew of new competition titles for its 65th edition, including Werner Herzog's Queen of the Desert.

In Queen of the Desert, the one-time Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson plays Lawrence of Arabia, aka T.E. Lawrence, alongside star Nicole Kidman as explorer, writer, archeologist and British Intelligence officer Gertrude Bell. Queen of the Desert also features Homeland's Damian Lewis as Charles Doughty-Wylie, a married British officer who had an unconsummated affair with Bell, and James Franco as Henry Cadogan.

Screen International:

The 65th Berlin International Film Festival (Feb 5-15) has added a further eight titles to its Competition programme, ahead of the complete line-up next week.

The films, which originate from across Europe, Asia, the US and the Middle East, include the world premiere of Queen of the Desert, Werner Herzog’s biopic based on the life of British explorer Gertrude Bell.

Nicole Kidman plays the 19th century explorer, known as the female Lawrence of Arabia, and her co-stars include James Franco, Damian Lewis and Robert Pattinson (as TE Lawrence).

The Film Stage:

With our most-anticipated film of the year leading the line-up, this year’s Berlin Film Festival has announced more titles to join the slate. Notably Werner Herzog’s first narrative feature in half-a-decade, Queen of the Desert, will be premiering there. The story of legendary cartographer Gertrude Bell features Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson, James Franco, and Damian Lewis.

Indiewire:

The 65th Berlin International Film Festival added eight films to its main competition this morning, including new titles from Werner Herzog, Benoit Jacquot, Bill Condon and Jafar Panahi. The festival also added an additional 14 films to its Generation selection, which is comprised of features and shorts aimed at youths.

Herzog will be in Berlin with "Queen of the Desert" starring Robert Pattinson as T.E. Lawrence (aka Lawrence of Arabia), alongside Nicole Kidman as British Intelligence officer Gertrude Bell.

Robert Pattinson Scores A Hat Trick On The Film Stage's '100 Most Anticipated Movies of 2015' List

Robert Pattinson Scores A Hat Trick On The Film Stage's '100 Most Anticipated Movies of 2015' List

We're always excited to see all of Rob's movies but it's great to see that others are as excited to see his work now too.
No less than THREE of his movies made The Film Stages '100 Most Anticipated Movies of 2015' List.
Life made an appearance on there as did Queen of the Desert and completing the hat trick is The Trap.

Here's what they had to say about each movie:

14. QUEEN OF THE DESERT
With rumors that it would arrive last year, the wait continues for Werner Herzog’s first narrative feature in half-a-decade, the story of legendary cartographer Gertrude Bell may be hitting theaters this year. Led by Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson, James Franco, and Damian Lewis, Queen of the Desert follows Bell, a diplomatic explorer, who negotiated with Arab nations and helped establish the countries of Iraq and Jordan. Considering that Herzog is the man who gave us such epics as Fitzcarraldo and Aguirre, we’re looking forward to a return with what looks to be his most visually ambitious work in some time. With fall line-ups getting announced shortly, check back for updates. – Jordan R.

96. LIFE
After premiering his latest drama, A Most Wanted Man, at Sundance last year, we thought director Anton Corbijn might return to Park City, but barring any last-minute announcements that looks to not be the case. Hopefully coming later this year, as scripted by Luke Davies, Life centers on the relationship between James Dean (Dane DeHaan) and Life Magazine‘s Dennis Stock (Robert Pattinson), the latter of whom had been tasked with capturing the up-and-coming actor less than a year before his rise to stardom and tragic death. – Jordan R
21. THE TRAP
After the success of Spring Breakers, Harmony Korine is ready to dive right into his next, “most ambitious” project yet. While little is known about The Trap, we do know that it will likely star Jamie Foxx, Robert Pattinson, and Benicio del Toro in a revenge, gangster drama that follows a “multi-generational family of criminals in the South.” Korine is set to begin shooting the film in Miami in the coming months. With Spring Breakers introducing Korine to a wider audience than ever before, could The Trap be his next big step into the cultural spotlight? – Dan G.

"Robert Pattinson Will Become The Biggest Movie Star In The World" ~ Guy Pearce

"Robert Pattinson Will Become The Biggest Movie Star In The World" ~ Guy Pearce

You had to love the whole bromance that Rob & Guy Pearce had going while making The Rover and while doing the promo last year.
They made such a good team. You could really feel their connection in the movie and you could tell that they became really good friends.

 photo 1jpg_large-1.jpg

In an interview with Yahoo Guy gives us yet another reason to love him ........
"Guy Pearce expects Robert Pattinson to become the "biggest movie star in the world".

The 47-year-old actor appears alongside the 'Twilight' star in thriller film 'The Rover' and he believes the hunk's great looks and superb acting ability can enable him to become the best in the industry if he puts his mind to it.

He said: "I'd met Robert briefly one Comic Con a couple of years ago and told him he was great - I'd only seen one of his films, 'Water For Elephants'.

"He's as interested in delving into character as much, if not more, than I am.

"I thought, 'This guy's totally my cup of tea.' Then I put two and two together and went, 'Hang on, he looks like that, he's that famous and he's this good .... Seriously, if he doesn't become the biggest movie star in the world there's something wrong.'

"Amazing as an actor and amazing looking - what a combination."
