Monday Madness - The Continued Art of Hair Flipping with Robert Pattinson

What seems like an eternity ago, Robert Pattinson delighted us with a couple of lessons in the art of hair flipping. He taught us the basics, he even taught us some advanced techniques.

Back then I didn't think hair flipping could get any better.

I was so, so wrong.

In the past year he's earned his Doctorate in this ancient art. He's more than a master, he IS the master.

Then there is the added bonus in that he looks mighty fine while flipping... which brings me to the majestic-ness of this Monday.

Can you take it?

Photobucket

Study Up. Study Hard.

Take it all in... and try not to get distracted by other things... you know, TDP, BLD and Hand Porn for instance, they are to be studied in detail later on in the curriculum.

No need to take notes - just come back and study whenever you feel the need.

Can you deal with one action flip?

Happy Monday - may this make the week a little bit easier.

Such a tease....

The Art of Hair Flipping with Robert Pattinson Part Two

Well, it’s about time part TWO of The Art of Hair Flipping by Robert Pattinson was posted… I promised I wouldn’t wait a thousand posts… but damn Rob’s been busy and he just hasn’t had chance to let me in on his in-depth hair flipping techniques until now!

To get yourself up to speed on where we left off you can check out The Art of Hair Flipping Part One HERE!

So without further ado – for your entertainment and education – and of course viewing pleasure too, I’ll hand over to Rob and all his hair flipping beauty.

Hope you’ve all been practicing…

A few refreshers to get the wrists moving smoothly – the Back Flip

the Side Flip

Photobucket

the Full Frontal Flip

Photobucket

... the Double Jointed Finger Flip...

Photobucket

... and the ever important On Air Flip...

One last crack of the knuckles and we ready to go on with some new flipping techniques.

Not sure if you’ve noticed but he isn’t the only actor who excels in hair flipping, although he is ranked at number one. This Sneaky Flip was masterfully executed in the split second when Kristen was looking away… cleverly stopping her from following flip and out-doing his flippage.

Photobucket

Including a smug look on your face lets everyone know another cast mate missed a Sneaky Flip!! These sneaky moves work well on red carpets when fellow actors are in the same vicinity vying for the top flip of the evening.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The Smoldering Half Flip is for those that are ready to move into an advanced class. Give it a try… smolder and half flip – a full flip and you’re back to the beginners class!
(And I'm aware you're all intentionally failing in order to keep the class going.)

Photobucket

The Combination Nape Flip/Eyebrow Pull is another advanced technique… but a good one to master! Has been known to score a perfect 10 in Olympic competition.

Photobucket

Wet Flip – no other explanation needed!
(Don't worry, I'll wait
while you reminisce about the beauty of this shoot - just let me know when you're ready to move on.)

Photobucket

OK... are you all back with me? Let's continue.

We learned of Le French Flip before - now we have El Mexicano Flipo, very cleverly paired with a Prop Flip in this example.

Photobucket

Which brings us to the grand finale of flips. Sit back and look on with amazement while I present The Live Flip. This one takes great confidence to pull off and should only be attempted by those knowing they're going to succeed without embarrassment in front of a live audience or a red carpet full of well wishers.

If all else fails and you’re just not getting your flippage right…

Photobucket

... or your hands are full...

Photobucket

…ask someone else to do it for you!

Happy Flipping!

The Art of Hair Flipping with Robert Pattinson

It seems like only yesterday we were at 5000 posts… but THIS ONE RIGHT HERE is our 6000th.

In celebration I present to you The Art of Hair Flipping. Who better to teach us this cool move than the expert, the hair flipper extraordinaire, the man himself - Robert Pattinson.

His lesson in hair flipping is actually so long… it’s going to be divided into two. I won’t wait a thousand posts to post part two, I promise.

Enjoy!

First we must fully accomplish the Full Palm Flip before moving onto the more complicated moves.

The Scrunch Flip ensures your hair stylist on set will be 'forced' to run her hands through your hair over and over again. Good move if you like that kind of thing.

Photobucket

This flip can also be used during press junkets to ensure perfectly 'sticky up' hair.

Photobucket

Le French Flip!
- for those times when you just need a little more oh-la-la in your flip.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Attempted Flip... so close...

Photobucket

Two Handed Flip - this is a difficult one to master, but with severe concentration Rob manages to pull it off masterfully. (Keep your eyes away from the open buttons or I guarantee you'll lose concentration)

Photobucket

The Double Jointed Finger Flip - only a select few can accomplish this one (I believe wearing a black suit or tux helps)

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

The Combined Flip - head hair AND chest hair combo!

Photobucket

The "Hey, how you doin'?" Flip - can only be performed wearing a denim vest, tight jeans and a smile!

Photobucket

The Reclining Flip - probably the deadliest flip to witness in action.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The Perfect Hairline Flip - yes, I'm jealous.

Photobucket

Remember Me Press Junket Flips – he was on a roll at this event and showcased the back flip, the side flip and the full frontal flip in one flip session. (You don’t know how sincerely I wish the words ‘full’ and ‘frontal’ were associated with another photo altogether – OK, maybe you all do know!)

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

For those times when you find yourself on a network TV Show - you'll need to use the On Air Flip

Photobucket

Photobucket

If all else fails, and the hair is just looking too perfectly ruffled to flip - then go ahead and Tug an Eyebrow

Photobucket

Be good, practice your flips, and Part 2 will follow :-)
