Fan Account From Last Night

Here is a fan report from last night. Thanks to tinkrbe1l3 for sending us her account and extremely "revealing" picture :) Seriously, are we this hard up for Rob pix? No, not really. I just like how cute tinkrbe1l3 was with the "freezing on the spot" :) I think a lot of people will have the same reaction:

Sooo I wasn't gonna send you guys this because I was ashamed of my inability to take a good pic but since fakerparis posted someone else's back shot, I figured I wouldn't get laughed at too bad LOL. The other sad thing is I couldn't even take the pic. It's my camera but my best friend took it. I was frozen and couldn't move so she took charge. She's not a Rob Mega-fan like I am but she is my best friend and was ready to help me since I was a moron. We both knew when he came in, I was very close to the door and in my peripheral i saw girls heads turn towards the door but I kept looking straight (moron, remember). My bf looked too and said, "I really think he just came in." She'd recognized his jaw from the pics I've shown her lol. So I remained frozen and tried to focus on the show even tho he was five feet from me behind a curtain. I knew we could have left and waited outside to get a shot but I felt it was disrespectful to Marcus and Rob...I was trying
to maintain a level of civility but honestly I bet I wasn't that humane and knew I just physically couldn't move from my spot. My feet were glued to the floor. At the end of Marcus' set, Rob and Co. were still there. The venue tried to protect them by pulling the curtain further out to obscure the view. My bf said, "let's go" but i couldn't move so she left me (wisely) to try and get me a shot. I watched her shift towards the wall near the door they'd exit at. The curtain wouldn't reach the door so the venue folks would have to drop it at some point to let them out. Once the curtain dropped my bf snapped and the result is what I attached. She beat herself up saying, "I coulda gotten you better! I should have gone outside!" but I assured her, for our first time out to an event linked to Rob, we (she) did pretty great. I also showed her some blog posts so she'd know that his shirt and hat were famous (LOL) and I was extremely happy with the pic. And while
I'm a jaw girl, I let her know she got some pretty good fingerporn in the pic too LOL.

It's been a few days because we were actually blogging about this guy, Robert Pattinson. He has a movie coming out, Water for Elephants, so Mr. Weitz was put on the back burner. :P

Do you see him continually growing in the craft? Do you automatically get a sense of which actors you work with will turn on as 'greats'? Do you think someone can learn to be a great or is it innate?

CW: Well. He has every right to do what he likes. He has a lot of innate talent. There is however a strange compulsion for people to want to see stars get "bigger" and "bigger", which generally means more famous not necessarily more happy. I would rather be happy than famous. And I think any sane person would agree. Can I see "greatness" in a young actor? Sometimes. Jose Julian from A Better Life could be great. Takes tremendous effort and commitment.

The DR is buzzing about Rob's buzz cut and it's not just about him lookin' gooooood...



Here's the bottom line. No one knows. My money is on "because he wanted to". However, we received several emails and tweets today about Child 44 which means you guys want to talk about it.

What do we know about Child 44? Not much really. The rumor popped up in the fandom in November. Click HERE to revisit the commentary collected at Spunk Ransom. It stemmed from a mention of Rob attached to the project on a website, On The Grid. Well, the rumor is back again because they updated their post today.



The NY Times has different information though. Ridley Scott is attached as director and the studio is listed as FOX. Also, Rob's name is not on the page. Click HERE to check it out.

There's no IMDb page for the film and if Rob cut his hair for that role, wouldn't there be a page at this stage of production? Even pre-production?

UPDATE: RPAustralia tweeted us this info she found on IMDb Pro regarding people supposedly attached to this film: Ridley has nothing slated as pre-production. No Child 44 either, but has 40 projects in development. Michael Costigan currently filming The East with Skarsgard. Richard Price is working on a screenplay called 36 with De Niro as producer. Child44 isn't even listed on Summit's projects in development.

I know everyone is biting at the bit to hear about Rob's next project. He teased a January time frame at lease twice during Breaking Dawn promo.

Another mention at the start of this video, although he doesn't say the word "shooting" like he does in the audio clip.



So if Rob actually cut his hair for a role in January...a role many of you speculate it might be this mysterious Child 44...it just doesn't add up. Maybe I'm giving IMDb too much credit but if they were shooting this month with FOX and Ridley Scott at the helm, I think they'd have a page and there would be MUCH conversation about it among credible industry sites.

I know we're all going crazy here. What is he doing next?? I'm in the boat of believing Rob's people lurk his fansites. *waves to Nick and Stephanie*
So lurk this, guys! Throw us a bone. What's next for our favorite human being evah?

Hopefully, Rob will attend a more prestigious award show where he wears a tux (MERCY!) and walks the carpet to talk upcoming projects (PLEASE!). If not, we have Bel Ami promo to look forward to. Someone in the press is bound to ask (Josh!) and maybe fans can too. A fan asked Rob about Bel Ami in the autograph line for Jimmy Kimmel and he said probably February. You never know what he'll say unless you ask. So ask away if you happen to meet him during promo and we haven't gotten an answer (and make sure you record it).
