PICS: Robert Pattinson's friends come out to support The Lighthouse screenings in NYC and LA

PICS: Robert Pattinson's friends come out to support The Lighthouse screenings in NYC and LA

This is so sweet and I love seeing the support from Rob's friends, new and old, for his award contending film and performance.

First, on the same night as the GO Gala, there was a special tastemaker screening of The Lighthouse with Rob's latest costar, John David Washington, Chris Evans, and Rami Malek.

Then Rob jetted off to NYC for The Lighthouse screening hosted by Eddie Redmayne. Look who else showed up!

Gates McFadden shared this pic of herself with Rob and Eddie Redmayne at the HFPA Charity Dinner on her twitter. It's not a new pic but I checked and don't see it posted in our roundup of pics from that night, so enjoy ;))

Ten years ago today, we were in the photo-shoot for Screen International Stars of Tomorrow, alongside Eddie Redmayne, Robert Pattinson, David Oyelowo, Natalie Dormer, Dominic Cooper, Jamie Winstone and Tom Sturridge. Whatever happened to them, eh? Here's our behind the scenes shot:

Who's the next sex symbol? "No one can compete with Robert Pattinson. He's in a league of his own."

Who's the next sex symbol? "No one can compete with Robert Pattinson. He's in a league of his own."

Well....Eddie Redmayne is certainly on my good list when it comes to male actors that are not Rob. Here's what he said at the Evening Standard Film Awards last week in London.

Congrats to him on all his success with Les Misérables. I thought his solo with Empty Chairs At Empty Tables was amazing. My second favorite after the much acclaimed Hathaway solo.

Anywho...enough Les Misérables talk. Back to what Eddie was saying. NO ONE can compete with Rob's status as a sex symbol. Should we nominate Eddie for 2013 Best Non-fandom Supporter during the year-end ROBsessed Awards now or later? ;)

LA Times talks to Robert Pattinson at the Golden Globes: Find out his favorite movie of the year!

LA Times talks to Robert Pattinson at the Golden Globes: Find out his favorite movie of the year!

The LA Times got a chance to talk to Rob at the Golden Globes and find out quite a bit! From LA Times:
Photobucket
Robert Pattinson likes the Golden Globes and came to present voluntarily opposite Amanda Seyfried for adapted screenplay -- a rather surprising admittance from the press-shy Pattinson. The 26-year-old actor is thrilled to not have to talk about vampires ever again, though he said all his questions on the red carpet were bloodsucker-related. Pattinson is clearly here just to celebrate and is rooting for Joaquin Phoenix, though he's never met the actor. "The Master" was his favorite movie of the year. Eddie Redmayne, a fellow Brit, saunters over to the table. "We're at the same table," he sings to Pattinson, clearly excited to be seeing his old friend. Redmayne is also in a celebratory mood, thrilled he has nothing to do Monday and happy to hang with old friends. "Let's go find the bar, now," he says to Pattinson, and the two head for a quick drink before the festivities begin.

Love this! Great info from the Los Angeles Times. :)

Eddie Redmayne calls Robert Pattinson a great singer

Eddie was talking to BBC1 Radio and mentioned Rob being a great singer (as well as the interviewer). He also mentioned another singer Rob is friends with and has mentioned frequently, Johnny Flynn.

Eddie Redmayne talks Robert Pattinson, Tom Sturridge and "Incestuous" Relationships

Looks to me that Eddie is as big a kidder as Rob is!

Kristen Stewart was a pre-“Twilight” 17 years old when she filmed the coming of age drama “The Yellow Handkerchief,” with British actor Eddie Redmayne in New Orleans, a film due out later this month. But the two stars revealed to AccessHollywood.com on Thursday that Kristen learned her first details about her then-upcoming co-star Robert Pattison from Eddie, who turned out to be a R-Patz pal.

“Randomly, at the end of this, you were about to do ‘Twilight,’” Eddie said, turning to his “Handkerchief” co-star Kristen during Access’ interview. “I had known Rob since I was [younger]. So I was like, ‘Yeah! You’re working with my mate Rob!’ You’re like, ‘Really? What’s he like?’ I was like, ‘He’s a good boy.’”

Kristen said although she first attempted to find out more about her “Twilight” co-star from his pal, she realized Eddie’s lips were fairly sealed.

“I sort of got from [Eddie] that they were friends for a long time and he wasn’t going to say anything bad about him. Even if there was something bad, it was just sort of like, ‘Yeah, it’ll be good,’” Kristen laughed.

Eddie confirmed he and his British boys club buddies stick together, a group that includes Eddie, R-Patz and “Vanity Fair” actor Tom Sturridge.

“They’re like, so almost incestuous,” Kristen said.

“It is incestuous,” Eddie laughed. “Rob and Tommy Sturridge and I – we’ve all been at it for a while now and it [is] so funny what happens when you start doing the jobs and you work with other people and you realize the whole industry is incredibly incestuous.”
