Set in an economically impoverished future, "The Rover" stars Guy Pearce in a performance of pure controlled ferocity. He plays a man on an implacable, obsessive stop-at-nothing quest to recover his stolen car, with an unrecognizable Robert Pattinson equally strong as a weaker man who gets pulled along in his wake. Tense and remorseless and shot in 100-degrees-plus heat, this is a film that chills the blood as well as the soul.

I love this! When Rob was out in Cannes on May 20th, he was also in the presence of friend and future director, Brady Corbet (in front of Rob). You can also see Guy next to Rob and Nick at the end.





This dinner must have been after Le Grand Journal. Some of you might have wondered what Rob was wearing and I love that CJ identified Rob in Gucci suit and shirt. GucciRob in harmony with DiorRob. <3 But I digress...back to Rob and Brady....

As you know, Brady will direct Rob in The Childhood of a Leader. During Rob's promo in Cannes, he mentioned The Childhood of a Leader was next on his slate. He called Brady Corbet brilliant when talking to Variety. Rob also let Le Parisien know he's pretty excited to work with Brady in his directorial debut. Can't wait!

On Tuesday, he resurfaced back on the scene when Rob attended a screening for the new documentary film Seduced and Abandoned in LA. The screening marked a rare party appearance for Rob, who hadn't been photographed at a big event since the 2013 Golden Globes earlier this year.
