Tara Hitchcock interviews Robert Pattinson. Some cute bits in the interview. I'm SO jealous of the time Rob spent with Tai and the time Tai spent with Rob.
I think we need to tweet Tara and tell her we're not ALL less than 20 years old ;-P
You Tube Version
You might know him best as the vampire Edward from "Twilight," but Robert Pattinson is full of life in his newest movie.
Tara Hitchcock sat down with Pattinson to talk about "Water for Elephants." When he first signed on for the movie, he thought it was a relatively small role.
"It's strange. When you read the script, I hardly have any lines at all," he said. "I read it really quickly. I read it the same day I met Tai, the elephant. I really wanted to work with the elephant so I kind of rushed through the script."
Pattinson shares much of his screen time with Tai, and the two developed a bond. "There's something about knowing that this creatures kind of knows you," he said. "You're so proud of it. ... There was a scene when we were both inside the train car and we both fell asleep together and she literally had her trunk around me. We were both fast asleep. I thought, 'How many times can this happen in your life?'"
Pattinson also adored his human co-star Reese Witherspoon.
"She nice to absolutely everybody. She's got a really genuine spirit. The days when she was on set and the days she wasn't, you could really tell the difference because she projects an aura of joyousness around her."
Based on The New York Times Bestseller, "Water for Elephants" opens on April 22. Later this year, Pattinson will appear in the third installment of the "Twilight" series.
Catherine Hardwick talks about Twilight and mentions Robert Pattinson while doing her promo for "Red Riding Hood". I think she's telling a little fib when she says she wouldn't want to carry on and direct the rest of the "Twilight" movies but I will always be thankful to Catherine for casting Rob!
Some more Robert Pattinson "Water For Elephants" goodies for you. I've become quiet addicted to making gif's lately so watch out for Part 2 soon ;-) Hope you like these ones.
Two New/Old pics from a few years ago. I LOVE the first one! It's from the Exceptional Youth exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London (Nov 3rd 2006) Oooh stubbly Rob in a leather Jacket. Purrrrrfect

More Pics from that night
This one is from the opening of the new Uniqlo store in London (Nov 6th 2007). I will not make any rude comments about the jumper except I really hope it has been burned although thinking about it, it's probably in one of those 3 warehouses being stored for a rainy day {giggle}
Robert Pattinson stars in one of the hottest movies this month, Water For Elephants, and he tells us what it’s all about!
Dressed in black jeans, plaid shirt over a white t-shirt and a gray wool jacket, Rob sat down to talk with us about how his new movie is a good opportunity for this irresistible hottie!
17: What made you participate in this film? RP: Before reading the script or the book (the movie is based on the novel, Water For Elephants by Sara Guen) Francis, the director, took me to the Elephant Sanctuary where Tai lives (the elephant who plays Rosie). I arrived, and immediately started playing with her. I thought, “I will have the opportunity to work with Tai for four months, I’m definitely accepting this role!”
17: What is the relationship between Marlena And Jacob, like? RP: The relationship between Marlena and Jacob gets complicated with time. Marlena is trapped in a abusive marriage. I think Jacob is a good guy and I didn't want to play him as someone who comes to the circus world, that was created out of nothing by August, to steal his wife and destroy his life.
17: What is your character, Jacob, like? RP: He had to face the challenge of losing his parents at an early age and has had to learn to move on.
17: What do you do on a day off? RP: i play a game in my iphone application called Fall Down, I can use it for 16 hours
17: What makes you really happy? RP: Music, I went to New Orleans and played the piano with the Preservation Hall Jazz band. It was amazing, I was fascinated. (Kate: I'm still waiting patiently to see a vid of this. It HAS to be out there somewhere!)
Robert Pattinson At The "Breaking Dawn" Wrap Party (which was also Kristen Stewart's Birthday, April 9th)
Rob looks like he was having fun on Taylor Lautner's motorbike. Though I'm thinking Rob would need the adult version to accommodate those long legs of his....
Long legs...Rob on a bike...Mmmmmmmmmm....

And he hopes the rest of us do too. I don't think there's any danger of that.
Robert Pattinson has one of the most devoted fans bases that anybody can have. Thus far, Pattinson has spent the majority of his acting career working on the Twilight films, which are soon coming to an end. Pattinson is near completing the last of those films, Twilight: Breaking Dawn. But, next Friday, his fans will get to see a different side of him when his new film, Water For Elephants, based on a beloved book, opens in theatres. Pattinson gives what we think is his best performance yet.
We spoke to Pattinson who told us that he knows his mother will like the film, but also hopes his fans will. (Click on the audio player to hear Robert Pattinson)
