Twilight's Robert Pattinson: 'Eminem Is My Hero'
Robert Pattinson, star of teen vampire movie Twilight, has revealed that US rapper Emimen was one of his heroes as a youngster.
The 22-year-old actor told the BBC he admired Eminem because he was “really into rap”. He also spoke fondly of Jay Kay from Jamiroquai.
Pattinson, who is currently preparing to shoot the next movie in the Twilight series, spoke candidly in a recent interview about his interest in music.
“Music is my backup plan if acting fails,” he told the LA Times. “I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket.”
Two of Pattinson's own original compositions are included on the soundtrack to Twilight. But the actor stressed that he didn't want fans to think he was trying “cash in” on the movie's success.
“That’s what I was scared about, it looks like I’m trying to get a music career out of it or something,” he said. “I’m not going to be doing any music videos or anything.
MTV.com counts down the 10 Most Eagerly Anticipated 2009 Films From the "Twilight" Stars. You can find the whole list here.
2. "Little Ashes" We know him as Spunk Ransom, we know him as RPattz, and in 2008 we came to know Robert Pattinson as a hair-raising, riot-causing international superstar. Now, the in-demand actor has several projects in the works, but none are more anticipated than "Little Ashes," an indie flick about surrealist artist Salvador DalĂ. Thankfully, the movie looks much better than Rob's mustache, and advance buzz is building. Soon enough, the world will know if RPattz is truly a wunderkind or a one-hit wonder.
1. "New Moon" It's got a new director, a super-fast turnaround time, and several key casting decisions yet to be made. But, to borrow a phrase from Eric Yorkie: Chillax! Stephenie Meyer has already given her thumbs-up to the sequel, scripted by returning screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, and everybody from Rob and Kristen to Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and Peter Facinelli are in like Flynn. Not only is the November 20 release a no-brainer for the most anticipated "Twilight"-related movie of 2009, but to millions of die-hard fans, it's the single most anticipated flick of the year. Better keep those Tuesdays open, folks.
Don't have a clue where these come from but they are new to me so hopefully new to you. Just please ignore the attractive women with Rob in either pic.
Interview was done a while ago but just recently released.
Rob talks Twilight, Little Ashes and even TomStu, I knew Rob was going to plug the bromance at some point. My internal hope for a RobStu bromance confirmation lives on!
Thanks to Robert Pattinson Online for sharing the pictures and don't forget to vote for them HERE(vote for Rob on the same site) and HERE. They are always so nice in sharing :)
Rob talks about fan expectations and weird fan encounters (enter baby pimping here). He also talks about the film and books, working with K Stew, blah blah blah Edward Cullen is not a normal vampire.
The translator talks over Rob for most of the vid but he still looks scrumptious and the vid quality is amazing. The video keeps autoplaying and is messing up the site, so I'm removing the embed. You can view the video at the SOURCE :)
Rob plays Richard in the film here is the synopsis of his character:
Richard is just eighteen. He is a good looking boy, with an ambivalent feminine side, skinny and androgynous in the fashion of that time. He is narcissistic and entirely self regarding, his is a solipsistic universe with only one golden person inhabiting it; himself. Jane was the trophy girlfriend until he found better, then he was in turn dumped and now is back trying to ingratiate himself with Jane. He has written letters to the chateau, decorated the envelopes with psychedelic love hearts.
He sees himself as a lover, as a pop figure, something of a curious cross between Bob Dylan and Mick Jagger. He is the kind of boy who will hang around looking pitiful and hoping his moodiness will attract girls, which it does. If thwarted he will turn nasty in an instant, and does. He wants Jane to feel sorry for him for making the mistake of giving her up. He is desperate for her, but he is the wrong boy, he is an 'unsuitable boy'.

Only he can make this wonkers face look kinda sexy.
"I had wet kitchen roll, I wanted the texture right" talking about auditioning for a transsexual role and stuffing his bra :)

Sam cowrote 'Never Think" with Rob. Below is a little bit from the interview where he talks about music and Rob.
You wrote 'Never Think', on the Twilight soundtrack, with Robert Pattinson - and then you apparently went in completely different directions when recording it. How did that happen - is there an original version?
The original version is just sort of bits and pieces of when we were writing it. So, no, there's no real original version. What it is, is we wrote a song... I came back to Canada, and kind of switched it up a little bit for myself. Melodically, what we originally wrote is probably closer to my version. But Rob, when he plays music, he's really in touch with what he's doing, so he plays a song differently every time. Any song, it'll never sound the same. It's really cool, he's really in the moment. So the recording of Never Think that he did will never sound the same again, which is kind of interesting. Lyrically, though, it's similar.
It's funny, because you can never understand what he's singing. So it's really interesting to listen to your version and say, "Oh, that's what he's saying!"
I don't think anyone has guessed the lyrics right yet. I've been on YouTube, and I've been reading what people think are the lyrics. Even the first line, I don't think I've read the right first line yet. I mean, he sings it like that because that's how it comes out. I personally love it. I mean, I know what he's saying. There's a feeling behind it, like he's singing it to that person that he's talking to.
So, what was it like, sitting in the theatre and watching the Twilight premiere... and then hearing the song being played?
I've seen the film three times now. It's pretty exciting. I went to the LA premiere, and then I went to London. And then I took my mom to see it in Vancouver. But yeah, I was sitting with Marcus and Bobby [Long] at the London premiere, and we started like - aaah! - jumping up and down.
Their song is great, too.
Oh, the best bit of the film. And Rob does such a good job with it. That's a great part of the film. I really liked the movie - it was quite the experience, seeing in a theatre full of pre-teen girls, screaming.I didn't get any screaming girls. I wanted to. When I went with my mom, I sat at the back, like - [He beams.]. Just 'cause I was with my mom, all happy and proud.
