'Twilight' DVD: Best of Robert Pattinson's audio commentary

Mandi Bierly wrote down her favourite comments by Rob on EW.com. Below are a few hilarious ones and I suggest you read the rest of them HERE.

11:00 "I didn't actually know they were rolling when we were doing this scene," he says, chuckling (presumably) at how bad his acting is when Edward first gets a whiff of Bella in biology. "...I was just kinda cold."

19:22 And the eyebrow obsession begins as the close-ups on Stewart and Pattinson get closer and closer in biology:

Pattinson: We have very similar eyebrows. [Laughs]
Hardwicke: Rob! We had to pluck the heck out of your eyebrows.
Pattinson: S--- hurt. Aw, man.

22:18 Carlisle's entrance, swinging through the hospital doors. Pattinson compares it to a J. Lo video. Then realizes he means Beyoncé. "Peter [Facinelli] would be so good at doing that. I want him to do the Beyoncé biopic." I have no idea what he's talking about, but I like it when he stumps Hardwicke. This will happen again.

24:30 Bella confronts Edward in the hospital and he tells her what she thinks she saw happen in the parking lot is wrong. "The moral of this scene is never trust a guy who plucks his eyebrows. You know, there's always something up. Something suspect."

26:30 Mike asks Bella to the prom. Stewart says she saw that actor recently and he looked good, older..

Pattinson: I've already aged about six years.
Hardwicke: [A little too steamily?] Well, yeah.
Pattinson: I look haggard. Might as well recast. [Laughs]
Hardwicke: Yeah. I'm sure we can do better now. [Laughs]
Pattinson: Yeah, yeah, definitely. Yeah, it made money now. "Where's Efron?" [Laughs]
Hardwicke: Now we can attract somebody good. [Laughs]

27:50 Edward walks away from Bella in the greenhouse. Pattinson: "I have so many inexplicable facial expressions in this movie."

29:50 Cullens in the cafeteria. "In this scene, I'm talking about how much I don't like cookies.... I'm sayin', 'Listen, guys. Have you read the book? We're not supposed to be eating.'" (Gozde: I think Kellan who was actually chewing something in the film didn't listen to Rob :))

38:39 A shot looking up at Bella outside the bookstore. "See, is that supposed to be me looking at her there?" he asks. Hardwicke's answer: "It's supposed to be, uh, maybe it would be you. What do you think?... Oh no, I don't think it is. I think it's just supposed to throw you off. Make you scared." I would have expected the know the answer to that question. Just sayin'. (Gozde: Yeah and things like those are why Catherine's direction sucked! Don't even know what the shot is for? Nice!)

41:45 Bella has dinner. More close-ups.

Pattinson: I wonder if vampire's eyebrows can grow back.
Hardwicke: Hopefully.
Pattinson: Maybe they can make that part of my distraught thing in the second one.
Hardwicke: Where you stop plucking?

45:30 Edward drives Bella home and stops at the police station. This was filmed on the last night. Pattinson says he was watching a movie in his trailer that day and started crying. Hardwicke says she cried when she went into Stewart's trailer, but she doesn't feel bad because Francis Ford Coppola cried on the set of The Godfather. Stewart says she cries all the time, any time she experiences a heightened emotion. Pattinson jokes that he isn't friends with someone if they cry around him. Hardwicke points out that he said he just cried. "Yeah, but I was crying over something very legitimate. A movie," he cracks.

1:12:00 Hardwicke is trying to get Pattinson to talk about how much he wanted to kill her for making him re-shoot Edward's piano playing. (The first time, Pattinson played his own composition. After the movie got a composer, he was asked to play the theme that would permeate the film.) He won't bite. There are boys tossing a basketball outside the diner. "I never understood people who liked throwing balls around," he says. I LOVE IT WHEN HE STUMPS HARDWICKE.

1:14:18 Finally, the kissing scene. Hardwicke says, "I have heard from, um, people of all ages, that this scene kinda gets 'em goin'." It certainly works on 33-year-olds. Or so I have, um, heard. (Gozde: And on 31 year olds, I KNOW!)

Pattinson: This is quite difficult 'cause I have a really flat head, and so it's quite difficult to get a correct angle," Pattinson says. "And you can't go up from down below as well, 'cause I've got, like, rock solid gelled hair. And so, like, it was odd. I don't know, sometimes I feel like my head is being, like, turned inside out. Like that episode of Ren & Stimpy when he's inside his own belly button. [Stewart laughs] I don't know.
Hardwicke: Okay....

He really shouldn't watch himself onscreen. (I, however, have no problem. I may have just rewound. Twice.) The awkward rambling is endearing.(Gozde: It really is :))

1:22:40 The baseball scene (pictured). Edward crouches and defends Bella from James. "Oh jeez, that's a tough facial expression to pull off," Pattinson says. (I love that he knows he didn't.) He says he growled, but it was cut. "Don't put it in the DVD.... If it is, I'll sue," he threatens. Stewart recreates it, and (unintentionally?) sounds like a cat coughing up a fur ball. Hardwicke says they tried so many different growls, but ended up toning down the growls for everyone.

Pattinson: Looking scary with a baseball outfit on and a little bouffant, you know, it just does not work. Especially with sculpted eyebrows.
Hardwicke: Rob. Stop it.
Pattinson: I'm really scary in reality.
Hardwicke: Yeah, we know that.
Pattinson: Most of the time.

1:55:18 Closing credits. A shot of Jasper looking longingly at Edward. Stewart asks, "Why is he looking at you like that?" Pattinson responds, "Back story.... It was a little different thread, which wasn't followed through." And fan-fic writers go wild!

Rob at Sam Bradley Concert?

I have heard about this a couple of days ago but don't know if it's true. Today celebuzz joined in the speculation with a "source" . My motto: show me the pictures/cite a credible source or it didn't happen :))

While hordes of Twilight stars were jetting around the United States to mark the release of the DVD this weekend, head vampire Robert Pattinson was making a low-key appearance at a friend's music gig.

Pattinson tried to stay out of sight at pal Sam Bradley's Vancouver concert on Friday night to avoid Twilight-mania from overwhelming the intimate setting, a source tells Celebuzz.

"He wanted to be as low-key as possible," the source tells Celebuzz. "If he had really been out there, it would have caused a frenzy."

"He stayed with Sam backstage before the show and watched the concert from the wings."

The event was the hot ticket in Vancouver, with scores of fans vying for 180 spots at the Grandview Legion in downtown Vancouver. The concert even earned a breathy piece in the Vancouver Sun about the difficulties in buying tickets. Disappointed fans had to be turned away, as there was simply no room in the low-key setting.

Pattinson did not even come out to sing the song he co-wrote with Bradley called "Never Think," which was performed by Pattinson on the Twilight soundtrack.

Rob : Hiding in Vancouver

It gives me a headache to report gossip from this website but we have to get Rob news wherever we can....

According to Lainey Gossip :

Taylor and Kristen were running lines all weekend, prepping to begin shooting in earnest this week. Robert Pattinson was running lines on Sunday too for a few hours. He has however for the most part shut himself in when not working out, apparently hasn’t ventured out much, prefers to be alone, politely declines invitations to go out, either getting into character or perhaps frightened by the loser twi-hards who’ve descended upon Vancouver to hunt him down? Twilight is boosting tourism!

Gozde: Can Lainey be one of the losers that got her invitation declined by Rob? I thinks so :)

Thanks to Ana for the tip :)

Bobby Long: Fame would never affect Robert the wrong way

It makes me happy to see that Bobby Long is getting a lot of exposure these days. Celebuzz has another bit about him where he talks about Rob.

After a weekend where we saw the awesome power of Twilight, we have to wonder — might fame and worldwide crowds of screaming admirers ever get to Robert Pattinson's head?

Not as far as Bobby Long, Twilight soundrack contributor and friend, can see it.

"This is the best person all of this could ever happen to," Long tells Celebuzz. "It would never affect Robert the wrong way."

"He's exactly as he always was," says Long. "He's very down-to-Earth and humble. Just a normal lad."

Long and Pattinson knew each other when the two were struggling artists in London, having late-night song sessions in Pattinson's dinghy Soho, London flat and eating pizza on his steep roof. Long also saw the full impact of Pattinson's fame at the London Twilight premiere:

"I actually had a few people shouting my name, which was bizarre," says Long. "But for Robert it was completely different. People were trying to pull at him and kiss him. It was hard to get into my head."

For Long, the touch of Twilight fame has led to insane amounts of exposure. "I had been playing concerts and not that many people would show up. But then there was like 20 girls, all Twilight fans. The last three had 100 girls and there were people not allowed to get into the venue, people flying in to see the concert. It's been insane."

Long is even heading to the U.S. for his first concerts.

As far as Pattinson's musical skills: "He's extremely talented. Just as talented with his music as an actor for sure."

In fact, Long would definitely purchase any Pattinson album. Actually, scratch that. "I'd hope to get it for free to be honest," he laughs. "I wouldn't talk to him if I didn't."

Twilight sells more than 3 million DVDs in first day of sales

From EW.com:

'Twilight' sells more than 3 million DVDs in first day of sales

No surprises here: Teen girls lined up en masse to take Robert Pattinson home with them when the Twilight DVD went on sale Saturday, complete with midnight release parties. The romantic vampire sensation, which has grossed $380 million in theaters since its November release, sold more than 3 million copies in its first day on the shelves, studio Summit Entertainment says. That puts it in the top five best first-day DVD releases in the last two years, among the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, The Dark Night, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and Transformers.

Gozde: Teen girls? What teen girls? How many teens can afford buying 4 different copies of Twilight? 1 from Borders, 1 from Target, 1 from Amazon and 1 from Costco :) For why it sold 3 million copies refer to the post below :)

The Allure of Robert Pattinson - Best Analysis Ever

Jennifer Wood wrote an article titled "What is it about Edward Cullen?" where she talks about the literary vampire and the man that brought him to life. She is spot on. I am only posting the part about Rob and you can read the rest HERE.

During his Twilight press tour last fall, star Robert Pattinson asked fans what it was about his character, Edward Cullen, that they were so attracted to. What was it about this particular literary vampire that made him, as fans told him repeatedly, "so sexy"?

Many a man has asked that same question. There is a new subculture of men—the Twilight Widowers—whose wives or girlfriends have been stolen away by one supernaturally sexy fictional vampire. But what is it about Edward Cullen and his family of "vegetarian vampires" that women find so appealing? What power or spell does Edward cast?

There are three key elements to Edward's attraction. First, he is a vampire. Second, he is Edward Cullen. And third, he is Robert Pattinson.

Dissecting the Allure of Twilight's Vegetarian Vampire, Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson is not Edward Cullen, and yet he is completely and forever Edward Cullen. Taking on Edward's film persona would have been a challenge for any actor. Pattinson himself has laughed at the impossibility of playing a character so perfect, so beautiful and otherworldly. Yet somehow, in bringing so much of himself to the character—his own insecurities and fears, his darker interests and thoughts—he added a depth of feeling to Edward that the character on the page was lacking. Pattinson embraced Edward's hatred of himself and his inner monster and made that part of Edward more prominent, brushing aside much of the flowery perfection attributed to Edward by Bella and her love-colored glasses.

It also doesn't hurt that Robert Pattinson is a handsome, tall, mysterious, and dark man himself.

From the ends of his inexplicably famous hair to the tips of his graceful, piano-playing, guitar strumming fingers; from the soft whisper of his Edward voice to the deep, gravelly, bluesy growl of his singing voice; from his adorably geeky performance in The Bad Mother's Handbook to his Hogwarts champion in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, there is just something so real, so normal about Robert Pattinson the man that makes him lovable and downright sexy. His interviews range from the dirty ("It's sex where you end up killing the other person. It's the best type of sex") to the silly ("I cut my toenails, and bought some new underpants"). He is a dirty, dirty boy, with his unwashed hair and overgrown eyebrows as well as the wicked twinkle in his eyes and that British accent that can stop your heart. He's so incredibly self-deprecating that he makes you want to give him a hug and take him home with you. He may be the dream of many a teenage girl, but he's admitted a love for older women that has all the cougars panting as well. There is little he holds back, yet he leaves you feeling like you've barely scratched his surface.

Robert Pattinson is not Edward Cullen. But Edward got a little bit hotter because Robert Pattinson gave him a face, a body, an evilly seductive grin, and an innate shyness that he didn't have before.

So Robert, there is your answer, from one admitted TwiHard cougar who thinks you are perfect because you are not Edward Cullen, and thinks Edward Cullen is perfect because he is not anyone at all.
